While I'd agree that Canelo doesn't stand out the way that other faces have, I would say that there was a decline in that for each face of boxing. Ali and Tyson stand out more than Floyd does globally and I think Canelo hurt his brand in the last 3 years by not taking the benavidez fight but I can't deny that he is the face.

I talk to ppl from other countries who dont follow boxing but they all know canelo and only watch those fights because they hear canelo. When i talk to other ppl who aren't Hispanic/latino the first and only boxer they usually know is canelo. Tobsay Canelo isn't international i think would be a mistake. Even Canelo said that he hates traveling and he only does it for his wife and when they went to Croatia they did it thinking no one would know him but he said even there he was recognized. I dont think you can say he isnt as big as Muhammad ali because that was a different context in time with Muhammad Ali refusing to go to Vietnam and things like that. But in todays society with the harsh economic time we are currently going bin Canelo is the only fighter consistently producing high numbers regardless of his opponent and other fighters didn't really come close to him. Also, i would say that Pacquiao and Mayweather shared the face of boxing title and when floyd retired Pacquiao and canelo had it. Now its definitely only Canelo.
Its Canelo, and Canelo ONLY..the guy has the track record, the name, the hardware and the skills to back it all up..i do not care if you bring tickets, cause Jake Paul outsells 99.9% of the fighters and the guy is a C+ fighter at best
