I think it was after the fact that he realized his hands were crumbling (I think either he was diagnosed with brittle bones or something like that) that he opted for the safer counterpunching style replacing combos with quick 1-2s and the odd powershot.

He gets caught more than Mayweather ever did and he's eventually gonna get caught and knocked out. He's a good fighter but he's nowhere near as good of a defensive fighter as Mayweather who rarely ever got caught by someone. He has a totally different style than tyson.

His first few opponents made the mistake of thinking he was a Floyd-type fighter. I can imagine what they were thinking once the punches started flying.
The thing is if you look at early Floyd, you see Gervonta; that's the thing people forget.

@@seand7042 Yup, a young Floyd was a powerful counterpuncher who threw combos that knocked you out before even you blinked. I think it was after the fact that he realized his hands were crumbling (I think either he was diagnosed with brittle bones or something like that) that he opted for the safer counterpunching style replacing combos with quick 1-2s and the odd powershot.
