Ok I have no evidence or leads to suggest such things but my gut tells me so. AJ’s performance was bewildering to say the least. It’s just weird. It can’t just be him having a bad day or something. Arguably the biggest night of his career and he choked. I haven’t seen a choke like that since the Kings lost against the lakers. It couldn’t have been me. AJ’s washed.
Basically what happened was AJ went pro too soon and didn’t pick up the skills to move like some of the other boxers out there . Not saying he’s not a tough dude and respect is always due to those who get in the ring but I always feel like he was marketed as the best boxer out there when he was really boxing a lot of fighters who were hand picked past their prime
Ever since I can remember for the past decade, they have been marketing heavy that AJ is the next great heavyweight. He fought an old Klitchko and Ortiz took his soul at a young age. With that being said he, I never fell into the marketing trap.
If Dubois can learn to throw an uppercut, he will be more complete fighter. Seriously, AJ had his arms in the air while clinching for the majority of the second round, I was yelling at the screen "Throw an uppercut", but he just relayed on haymakers ending up on AJ gloves.
I think this fight also opened Eddie Hearn’s eyes as well, this loss and a clean swept loss against Queensberry months ago. Eddie realized he might need to revamp the Matchroom roster and stop giving his veterans opportunities and open the doors for the youngsters
Dont underestimate kabayel. This guy got a chin and heart. I think he is a nightmare for all those heavyhanded fighters right now (Dubois, Joshua, Zhang, Bakole, Joyce, Wilder, Chisora)
What a gamble by Dubois to try the Marvin Hagler vs. Tommy Hearns approach to this fight. That it worked out was a miracle. I do think that for Dubois this was a one time use strategy. Throwing out the manual and going for the rumble is not a viable style for each match. It worked this time because Dubois has never done something like that before. The next fight will be more tentative because the element of surprise will be gone. That would be what Joshua is gambling on if he activates the rematch clause, I reckon.
Heart break. But I called it. I had a feeling. AJ is to hesitant and over commits defensively because he doesn’t have one. He also over commits to his punches and lacks combinations.
Aj seemed to have started using a guard and tucking his chin properly with Derrick James in the helenious fight. Thats the aj I was hoping to see in this fight. As soon as he came out with his hands damn near by his waist and his chin directly in the air I knew it was over.
@@billyettouati1124 yes. Very true. Aj was never a good defender - his defense was his offense. Doesn’t work with this new style he adapted unless he’s fighting guys that are scared of his power.
@@Rockstarrclarke it’s weird to me that he developed this kind of defensively lacking style because I’ve heard before AJ started fighting like he was mike Tyson because he liked the style but they switched him up because of his huge stature. And honestly with Robert McCracken he had an Olympic style that was defensively sound. Idk what’s happened that he started doing this and thinking it will work well. Especially because his chin is lacking.
A short right hand happened! A younger, hungrier, and better boxer caught him and put an end to the bullying and hype. Props to both for getting in there though!
Well Cloister man Hilwani was right since you completely left out his great win over Otto Wallin who was withing spitting distance of beating Fury and that was an amazing win from Joshua since his loss to Fury was a tight loss.
But that Fury fight, which came completely of the horrible cut Fury received early on, is literally the only thing of note in Wallins resume. A clear , UD loss against Tyson Fury. I'd argue the Ngannou win is more impressive from Joshua, given Ngannous credible performance (really: robbed victory) against Fury.
I personally think justis huni is a huge Aussie talent, sharp punching, great footwork and can box very well. With the way I currently see him fight, he might just be too small to compete with these guys, but there are many different ways you can box on the front foot. Definitely would be a great cruiser. Aside from him, we've got fabio wardley, frazer clarke, jared anderson, Jalolov although I've only seen him in the amatuers, but moves very well. I think there is certainly a good amount of young talent there.
I really liked that dubois won though, the world's tough on young people, and seeing the way he's handled all that adversity and come through is great.
I was disappointed by AJ's performance. I thought he'd know that DDD would come out guns blazing and use good movement and counterpunching to take the wind out of his sails. Instead he just folded and showed he hadn't learned the lessons from the first fight with Ruiz. In a couple of years time it will be interesting to see Dubois vs Itauma
I think that if AJ does decide to retire, he should have a last fight against Wilder. For Dubois, I think he legitimately has a chance to beat Usyk. If you go by the old saying, boxer beats slugger, slugger beats volume puncher, and volume puncher beats boxer then I think he wins. Usyk hasn't really gone up against anyone with extraordinary punching power besides AJ and Dubois did drop him
There is no point for AJ WILDER… other than them getting paid… they are both washed up. Let’s turn the chapter and welcome the new heroes … Zhang, Dubois, Parker, Usyk, Bakole… and anyone that looks solid. Even Chisora/ Belles would give AJ a magical beat up at this rate… He is washed up. He is in full decline. Anyone that says he can rebuild just wants him dead in the ring.
I’d honestly like to see Usyk retire after the fury fight. Don’t think he’s got much else to prove but with the way he is, I dunno if he would retire. I would prefer to see Usyk go out on a high though.
He has to, AJ clearly was off, not an excuse, but turned up late walks in the ring second, starts sloppy and slow, hands low, jabbing and not evading out of range like he did in his Wallin and Ngannou fights, walking back in a straight line for an easy double jab which is a known dubois go to move.kosing his equilibrium and the fight. Dubois has been really active this year and is well oiled for these kind of fights. He seems to be really feeling himself atm and is on great form. Looking back this should really have been more of a 50 50 fight in the bookies
That Ariel zinger was a bit unnecessary. To be fair he does have knowledge on MMA & Boxing when he does speak on those topics and not the drama surrounding them.
Some people have it some don't. Just like having a "good chin". Can't really train for it. The best you can do is avoid getting hit (train for a good defense)
Its, once again, not the fact that he (AJ) lost. Its the way how he lost. No headmovement, no legwork. Getting caught by an overhead right of Dubois with ur hands down...and especially the knockout makes me furious. Even if u do only basic fitnessboxing u learn that the hand that doesnt punch is taped to ur face. ALWAYS!
No hate for the guy, only respect actually, but AJ does not deserve a rematch. AJ v Zhang and Dubois v Parker would be good to see whilst Usyk and Fury are tied up in their rematch. And Wilder v Whyte finally.
I think AJ vs Fury still has stakes. Theyre both coming off of losses. Theyre both getting up there in age as far as boxers go. I think someone should still make it
bruh AJ had his hands down way too much, he was clocked early he wasnt as sharp after it. his defense was head movement he couldnt move quick enough and ate so many straights and jabs his neck was toast he couldnt keep his hands up and had to overextend to put power in his shots, dubois was well conditioned and waited for his moment. sad to see fr
What really happened was that Heavyweight is again unpredictable it was boring and predictable for a decade because no one was close to Klitschko, now we have again hungry young boxers.

Usyk vs Fury 2 would be great and tbh I could see Dubois being a big name in future
AJ should've kept his hands up. Dubois has some serious power. But AJ does too...he just couldn't trade like he used to
Amateurish fight, sloppy Start which AJ does alot but he got caught this time. If he doesn't rematch and rectify his lost. Got to be smart in the ring
Definitely had me jumping off the couch. AJ/Dubois 2 please.
Love the fukn pfp lmao, can't wait for Big Mata Tuesday next week o7, good vid mate
I would love to see Daniel Dubois against Agit Kabayel TBH!
4:45 dude, tf are you putting Usyk up there for? 😂😂😂 us Usyk fans have been LOVING this shit.
Ever since I can remember for the past decade, they have been marketing heavy that AJ is the next great heavyweight. He fought an old Klitchko and Ortiz took his soul at a young age. With that being said he, I never fell into the marketing trap.
3:18 Turki looking like the arab Weeknd
Let’s see Dubois Vs Parker on the Fury Usyk 2 under card and let’s see AJ vs Fury( if he looses the Usyk) or AJ vs Wilder early next year
If Dubois can learn to throw an uppercut, he will be more complete fighter.
Seriously, AJ had his arms in the air while clinching for the majority of the second round, I was yelling at the screen "Throw an uppercut", but he just relayed on haymakers ending up on AJ gloves.
Good for Dubois because the ref was trying so hard to rob him
I think this fight also opened Eddie Hearn’s eyes as well, this loss and a clean swept loss against Queensberry months ago.
Those mcgregor reactions were hilarious
What a gamble by Dubois to try the Marvin Hagler vs. Tommy Hearns approach to this fight. That it worked out was a miracle. I do think that for Dubois this was a one time use strategy. Throwing out the manual and going for the rumble is not a viable style for each match. It worked this time because Dubois has never done something like that before. The next fight will be more tentative because the element of surprise will be gone. That would be what Joshua is gambling on if he activates the rematch clause, I reckon.
Dubois' chin has yet to be tested or cracked though. AJ will lose the second fight too. His chin is lacking and Dubois will crack it.
Make AJ ve Fury next and Dubois vs Usyk
As mainly an mma fan, I didn't know he was fighting until I saw the highlight of jousha getting knocked out. Never heard of Dubois really
I knew it wasn’t going to go well for Anthony Joshua in the first 5 seconds
Well Cloister man Hilwani was right since you completely left out his great win over Otto Wallin who was withing spitting distance of beating Fury and that was an amazing win from Joshua since his loss to Fury was a tight loss.
But that Fury fight, which came completely of the horrible cut Fury received early on, is literally the only thing of note in Wallins resume. A clear , UD loss against Tyson Fury. I'd argue the Ngannou win is more impressive from Joshua, given Ngannous credible performance (really: robbed victory) against Fury.
@@AL73250 A cut of the type fury suffered could hardly justify him going the distance with an unknown 🍒👋
Finally someone who recognises that dubois wasnt hurt by that shot in the 5th. AJ was giving too much credit for that but dubois was off balance
Dubois vs Bakoli is the fight to make.
dubois has earned winner of fury/usyk in my book, him/fury/usyk are top 3 and bakole vs parker/kabayel should be the fights to make for next contender
@@gyronutz3043 Yes I agree, the Bakoli fight would be very interesting but Usyk/Fury is a higher profile fight.
Usyk hasn't really gone up against anyone with extraordinary punching power besides AJ and Dubois did drop him
Dubois also got a absolute money hit on Usyk. Probably the worst place for a man for get punched.
It was a low blow, Dubois never dropped Usyk, but Usyk did it... Twice
aside from that one low blow, the fight was a total domination from Usyk. Dubois has that puncher's chance, but otherwise I don't see it
There is no point for AJ WILDER… other than them getting paid… they are both washed up.
Already reacted the rematch clause according to the Mail
I subscribed Cloister
I think anthony shouldn't take the rematch clause.
He was simply unprofessional, doing poker faces instead of composing himself and trying to get back in the fight. Very egoic performance, needs to immediately rematch or retire he has money and he beats Wilder easy
I was just as surprised as you.
Style makes fight all im gonna say.
Just the name of the game, nobody stays on top forever. Which is what makes mayweather so impressive
AJ has no chin no defense which is a dangerous combination
I predicted r5-8 finish
Sometimes when you get rocked you just don't recover, his accuracy and movement was off after that first knockdown, maybe even before that
I want to see DDD vs Zhang, because that is the only guy I see could take him down until its too late to see even that fight.
Ruiz happened. Once he stepped out of the McDonald's after they told him the ice cream machine was down, he just let AJ have it.
This fight reminded me of apollo creed vs Ivan Drago
Usyk vs Dubois and have Fury Vs Joshua as co main
Anthony Joshua Vs Deontay Wilder makes the most sense right now.
How come some boxers recover so quickly and fully when they get knocked down while others boxers like AJ never recover properly in a fight?
Some people have it some don't. Just like having a "good chin". Can't really train for it. The best you can do is avoid getting hit (train for a good defense)
tyson fury is the best at it but its probably just your either born with it or not
Genetics
Aj in a high state of concussion thats why he cant get up, punched too hard too quick
@@knowthemethods
Fury, Usyk, and Marquez have some of the best recuperative abilities I’ve seen in boxing.
dubois vs Parker , chisora, Big baby Anderson , zhang and rematch Usyk and Joyce
Like whoever is a true fan of Joshua despite the loss...
ALWAYS!
No one can take the great win from dooby. His jab was great and his finish was a belter
Fury v Joshua ain't gonna sell now.
Joshua has no punch resistance, and Fury is not the fighter he once was.
No hate for the guy, only respect actually, but AJ does not deserve a rematch. AJ v Zhang and Dubois v Parker would be good to see whilst Usyk and Fury are tied up in their rematch. And Wilder v Whyte finally.
No “Hip hip… hooray” this time? 😂
2:39 you said Ariel knows literally nothing about boxing. That is laughable and ignorant.
Removing Robert Garcia and Derrick James for Ben Davison seems like a mistake now
I think AJ vs Fury still has stakes. Theyre both coming off of losses. Theyre both getting up there in age as far as boxers go. I think someone should still make it
The ref carried AJ. He should have called that fight earlier. It was already over for AJ
bruh AJ had his hands down way too much, he was clocked early he wasnt as sharp after it. his defense was head movement he couldnt move quick enough and ate so many straights and jabs his neck was toast he couldnt keep his hands up and had to overextend to put power in his shots, dubois was well conditioned and waited for his moment. sad to see fr
What really happened was that Heavyweight is again unpredictable it was boring and predictable for a decade because no one was close to Klitschko, now we have again hungry young boxers.
