Let me be clear about this. Biologically speaking, at 37 Usyk is past his prime. Couple that with his own admission that he struggles with eating enough to stay a heavyweight, and he's *still* this good. Generational talent.
Best champion since the Klitschko Brothers. It puts him in the discussion for the bigger names. What makes his run at heavy so interesting is that he did most of it past his physical peak. Shows alot of dedication to go along with the skill. He literally wanted it more than his contemporaries.
Usyk's professional resume is insane. In three fights at Heavyweight, he unified, undisputed in five fights. (Seven at Heavyweight in total) Equally, his Cruiserweight run was seriously impressive. That's seriously impressive.
From the perspective of what he has brought to the sport, I think he's well worthy of future note. No ducking, no ridiculous behaviour, no disrespecting bs. No talk, all walk. I would love to see him fight Parker!

This is a man who doesn't talk shit, ducks no one, calls every bluff, and always puts in the effort. For that alone he should be in the GOAT conversation, because I'm certain he would have done the same no matter the era he fought in. If someone offered him to fight Ali or Tyson or whoever in their prime, I'm sure he'd take the fights and make them work their ass off, possibly even beating them.
If the rematch against DDD is happening and if Usyk wins it he will be a 3 time undisputed champion, twice at heavyweight. That is insane, definitely one an ATG.
If you have moronic people claiming Fury & AJ are HW greats & Usyk came in and showed us the levels required to be considered a legend and wipe the floor with those two (twice each) then Usyk is a legend.
I definitely think he is. I really hope we get a Parker and Zhang fight before he retires. I would’ve loved to see him fight Wilder but the big man’s washed at this point
It's not just that he is a great boxer, it's that he's willing to get into the ring with any one. It's been a very long time indeed since we've had a champion like that. He absolutely deserves to be remembered by history as one of the all time greats.
What happened was something that many people did not expect. I want to be polite, Usyk pushed British boxing aside in to the waiting room, and a lot of people cannot come to terms with this objective fact. They find it difficult to face the truth. But it is what it is! Usyk is one of the greatest boxers in the world!
Usyk is already in the GOAT debate 100%. But I'm more worried about another thing. What are his options now really? He is on the top all alone and he's a mile above the closest contender. None of the fights will add anything to his legacy, moreover, a potential loss, that will inevitably happen if he fights long enough, will rather seed doubts in people's minds as humans tend to have very short memory. I would argue that going back to Cruserweight and becoming the undisputed champ again is the only thing that can actually add something to his resume, cuz nobody has done anything like this before.
He is already an all-time GREAT. Look at his accomplishments and how fast he accomplished them.... on the road... never getting knocked down with the size and reach disadvantages he dealt with and just beating Fury a second time before turning 38 in January. It's all very incredible. No one else has done it. His heart, determination, consistent disciplined lifestyle showing unmatched dedication to being the best he can be. His footwork, movement, defense and offense are all top notch. His humility and personality are the icing on the cake. I've served in 2 theaters of combat. I was also shot twice and lost over 20 friends to war. What the average person doesn't understand is the PTSD that Usyk just about every Ukrainian deals with. Psychologically... when your homeland is invaded by a nation who is a larger force with more capabilities..and your major cities are turned to rubble... people vanish or are killed in front of you... you see dead bodies... of women and children... countrymen.... it effects you in a big way, like it or not. The things Usyk has dealt with from a psychological stand point, not to mention the physical deficits he has as a HW.... and to run through the class of the HW division back to back to back to back to back... well... it's unprecedented. We will never see his like again, is my guess.
Foreman would beat usyk. Usyk got rocked a few times by fury. Imagine if foreman rocked him. Even if you say Usyk has better skill, foreman is tougher with more cardio and freakish power
All of Usyk's Cruiserweight opponents weighed in between 210-230LB on fight night. They are *heavyweights*. Ali is my GOAT at Heavyweight but why are we calling Ali's 190-210LB opponents "heavyweights" but Usyk's cruiserweight opponents are not counted towards his heavyweight legacy? Usyk is the best fighter of this entire generation and you can at least argue he is best heavyweight boxer of all times.
@@peterwolf4230 The Cruiserweights boil down to make the limit, and because they're larger, they rehydrate a lot. Putting 230LB aside for the sake of argument, they come in over 220LB which is as big as any great heavyweight of previous generations.
Best of the 4 belt era, I wouldn’t place him above Ali or Lennox. But that’s largely due to them fighting in an era where the HW was absolutely stacked so they had their chance to prove themselves. Usyk beat two very good boxer punchers but I would’ve liked to see him have someone like a smaller tank to match his speed. Like a Frazier Holyfield or Tyson. But that’s no fault of his own that he didn’t have a dominant slugger to challenge.
Does it really matter? For all of us who learned to love boxing in the 70's and 80's, back then it was all about clearing up the deck and being the Big Dog of their generations. In this strange era of boxers who can't stop ducking fights instead of punches, the great Oleksandr Usik is an old school great. He cleared every deck available, went to every other fighter's turf and left boatloads of money on the table to always take the best fight available, which was also the toughest one. Let's just say he reigned supreme in his time, and may Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson, de la Hoya and the like of them chat about his place among the all-timers.
He’s cemented his legacy as an ATG. Exactly how high on that list is a bit hard due to this era. How would have Ali, Louis, or Holmes have done in an era of giants? No idea. But Usyk is goddamn good, and his specialty is giant slaying. I can think of two things to do for him before retirement. Beat the winner of Dubois-Parker to become undisputed again, then drop down and beat Opetaia as a final “and I’m still even the best cruiser” on his way out. What he shouldn’t do is hang on too long. There’s no point and why risk damage by taking dangerous fights as he gets older, especially when he’s made enough money. Between the two Fury fights, he’s easily taken home 50mil+.
At Cruiserweight he's top 2 and I flip flop between him and Holyfield. However, at HW he's somewhere in the top 20. To get into the top ten he would need to surpass the careers of Mike Tyson & Wladimir Klitschko, two guys who to me have acted like the gatekeepers on the HW top 10. Usyk’s pro record stands at (23-0). Two time undisputed world champion at both heavyweight and cruiserweight with 10 title defences across cruiserweight and heavyweight. He has defeated 8 former, future or sitting world champions, Glowacki, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev, Bellew, AJ, Dubois, and Fury. Usyk has a record of (8-0) against 6 universally ranked opponents. Because many of his opponents are still active we don’t know how many, if any, will be introduced into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Fury, AJ, Briedis, Gassiev, and Huck could potentially be inducted into HOF. I would expect at least 2 of Usyk’s opponents to be entered into the HOF giving him (hypothetically) a record of potentially (4-0) against HOF boxers. At heavyweight that record is slight reduced to (7-0) with wins over 3 former, future or sitting champs, AJ, Dubois, and Fury; With a record of (4-0) against universally ranked HW's (Dubois wasn't universally ranked at the time). As for potential HOF heavyweights AJ and Fury both have shots at getting in so his record could still go as high as (4-0) against HOF level heavyweights. For the sake of argument let's compare this to Mike Tyson. Mike has a record of (50-6-0). He was undisputed heavyweight champion. He was a two time Heavyweight champion with 11 title defences. Iron Mike defeated 7 former or sitting champions, 16 ranked contenders and 2 HOF boxers. Usyk has defeated more champions, Mike has more title defences and fought more ranked opponents, Usyk was undisputed in more weight classes, Tyson only competed at Heavyweight and was undisputed once, Usyk has been undisputed twice, Iron Mike has a record of (2-3) against HOF competition while Usyk (potentially) has a record of (4-0) against HOF competition. PFP Usyk and Mike are comparable, you could certainly make arguments for Usyk being better PFP, but at Heavyweight Mike just has more. Don't get me wrong what Usyk has done in 7 fights has been incredible, but he would still only have 7 fights to Iron Mike's entire career being at HW.
The one thing that is stopping him from becoming the Goat in all of boxing (not only heavyweight)is that his resume don't have enough elite wins , guys like Ali, Lennox , Sugar ray robinson etc had way more elite wins compared to usyk . And that's not Usyk's fault at all.
I think more so than that is that he just doesn't have very many pro fights under his belt. Ath this rate, he'll probably need to continue boxing for another decade to be considered one of the true GOATs
But all those guys got finished by bums, and Usyk fought EVERYONE in front of him (keep in mind he also has 335 amateur wins, even when he was smaller and less skilled he beat Beterbiev twice for example)
There are so many strong arguments for considering him the greatest of all time. Usyk has won everything he could possibly win. I think he deserves his place next to Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammed Ali.
how can he be the greatest of all time when past champions have dominated for like a decade in their time. Fury was being called the goat two yrs ago too lol

It never really makes sense to argue about who's the GOAT or even try to create any sort of TOP, with so many exceptional fighters from different eras and weight categories, the best we can do is to come up with a tier list. That being said, IMO, Usyk is in the A+ section. He is in the GOAT debate already. He would be on par with the best of any era. Not saying he would dominate it but he could easily be the 4th in the great trios of Ali, Frazier and Foreman or Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis. He would win and lose and have the greatest of trilogies.
I mean tbh in my opinion he is a goat maybe even top ten I mean his career record is actually pretty insane and then he just casually gets two Olympic golds and now currently with his heavyweight and cruiser weight, the thing that rlly solidify him with goat status is every fight he has been in he has always put up good fight against every fighter he has faced and he never uses the same two strategies each fight I mean he maybe would use them in every fight but he goes about it differently every time he is super unpredictable and a great tactician honestly in my top 5
You would think that western, especially American media would love to give press to a Ukrainian boxing champion that’s one of the best ever and 100% the best in his era
goat of this generation easily with 0 debate. of all time u could make the argument, if he beats the winner of dubious parker then hes definitely in the conversation, i would say even if he doesnt hes top 5 at least all time
I think you have to place Usyk in a special tier. He achieved the full sweep at amateur: National Champion European Champion World Champion Olympic Gold Medalist 🥇 Collected every available title at Cruiserweight: WBO IBO WBA WBC The Ring Magazine Belt Muhammad Ali Trophy (World Boxing Super Series) Undisputed Collected Every Title at Heavyweight: WBO WBA IBF WBC The Ring Magazine Undisputed P4P number #1 To achieve that in 22 professional fights is unbelievable. Usyk completed boxing. But at 37, 38 by the time of his next fight; Father Time is knocking. His legacy as a great is cemented. Maybe he will leave the sport as an all time great. Maybe he will continue fighting until he loses. Father time is undefeated.

It's still crazy to me that we all call Usyk a small Heavyweight. I know it's the era but, he's bigger than Holyfield! The fact that he did all this in this era is absurdly amazing.
It blows my mind people actually think Dubois has a chance against Usyk in a rematch. The win against AJ makes him look pretty good, but there are too many holes in his defense and he would absolutely crumble under Usyk's unrelenting pressure.
As a casual, i thought his move to heavyweight showed the division was weak rather than him necessarily being strong. But hes definitely shown he has skills to take on almost anyone. One small question is whether non-british hw boxers would represent harder challenges for him
He beat all the champions at their house, name another boxer like him? A person who breaks boundaries and goes beyond the boundaries of physical capabilities.
Should we talk about why the IBF is stripping Champions? I mean, I’m not an accountant but it feels like they take a loss when they take away the belt from USYK and Canelo
IBF has always protected their belt and demanded their champions to fight mandatories. Unlike the WBC which just lets you keep the belt and then shows up with a new one from a cereal box for someone else.

Yes. I know he's never gonna be treated quite like the greats of old, but his resume and accomplishments are absolutely up there as one of the greatest boxing resumes of all time: -2012 Olympic Gold Medal as a Heavweight -Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion in 2018 (One of 3 in Boxing History & First since 2006) -Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in 2024 (First aince 2000 & First ever in the Four Belt Era) -At Cruiserweight: Beat Gassiev and Bellew -At Heavyweight: Joshua (2x), Dubois and Fury (2x) -23-0 without ducking, hand picking opponents and rematching his top opponents Also keeping in mind all his heavyweight win he's doing it while being 3-5 inches shorter, being 20-60lbs lighter than all of his opponents and being the lesser known name (so much higher risk of getting robbed). The only knock against his resume is that he won't be able to accumulate the volume of fights of other legends because he started his pro career late, but I personally think him being willing to always taking on and beating the best guys without losing is way more impressive than the volume of wins some of these other guys have beating up cans and handpicking opponents (Mayweather).
I remember the days when they said fury, wilder, Joshua be too big and too much for him. He almost stopped them. Undefeated 2x unified gold medalist champion. Top 3 best of all time imo.
I would have to say absolutely one of the greatest fighters. he come from cruiser. Weight division all the way up to heavyweight division has beat everybody and has never lost a fight as a pro So he has to be one of the greatest boxers in right now he's the best heavyweight that we've ever seen In this decade
Undisputed in 2 Weight class and doesn't fight cans during his reign on the top, if he beats Parker or dubois and become undisputed again that's a guaranteed spot in the GOAT list
what more does he need to be labeled the GOAT? olympic and european gold medalist, undisputed at cruiserweight, undisputed at heavyweight, and undefeated. i don’t wanna hear the “boxing has regressed” excuse, theres still been multiple class boxers and usyk has ran through the heavyweight and cruiserweight division. hes the goat in my opinion.
Amateur world champion too. Somehow it's mostly omitted but in the amateur boxing world it's as high of an achievement as the olympics gold medal itself. Needless to say that the world champion is always the main favorite for the Olympic gold 🥇
Yes in fact he’s the GOAT. Show me someone with his overall record amateur and pro, and someone who did it as the b side, on the road, as the smaller older guy, in the 4 belt era of ducking and politics while remaining undefeated.

@@digolaverdad7313 only casuals and deluded fanboys were calling fury a goat.
@GrubKiller436 most fighters that fight for a title have been fighting for over a decade. I'm talking being the champion for a decade.
Ali knocked out Liston in 1964 and best Shavers in 1977 and he was an Olympic champion too.
Larry Holmes defended his title +20 times. Joe Louis was a champion from 1937 to 1949 and defended his title 25 times.
The Klitschkos dominated for a decade.
You new fans that don't know the planet you live on putting goat crowns on everyone is laughable
Usyk Avenged Wladimir.
Usyk's professional resume is insane. In three fights at Heavyweight, he unified, undisputed in five fights. (Seven at Heavyweight in total)
Equally, his Cruiserweight run was seriously impressive.
That's seriously impressive.
From the perspective of what he has brought to the sport, I think he's well worthy of future note. No ducking, no ridiculous behaviour, no disrespecting bs. No talk, all walk.
I would love to see him fight Parker!
If Usyk retired TOMORROW he would still be in the top ten of all time
Hasn’t fought best of competition. Weakest era of hw (Not saying he wouldn’t do well in other generations).
@adxlotladiosx4190good point. It's insane how he did all this at heavyweight without even being knocked down. Unless you count the Dubois low blow
@adxlotladiosx4190 strongest era at Cruiserweight and he cleaned them out too.
@adxlotladiosx4190 Neither have those other guys. but someone has to be the best.
@adxlotladiosx4190the newer generation is so much better than older ones stop the bullshit 😂 guys like fury would literally be seen as a unicorn moving the same speed as ali while being the biggest guy any of them would have ever fought and usyk dealt with him with ease
As a Ukrainian with the name Oleksandr, I often say "I have the same name as Usyk", and when people ask me: “Who is this?” I take it as a very funny joke, but then it turns out that they really don't know who he is... it's very strange

@ he got lucky
@eren3390 please train me to be not that good, I want to be undisputed in 2 weight class.
He is an all time great he cleared out 2 divisions fighting the best of the best and they had a huge weight size and reach advantage he changed the whole division without getting dropped
Ali, Louis, Zelenoff, Usyk : the true Mount Rushmore of heavyweight boxing
Zelenoff dominates all weight categories at once
I would put Jake Paul instead of Louis.
He's a living legend already
I'm not watching the video, but the answer is yes. It's not even a question.
So 1 title defense makes you a goat over people that have +20 why?
@@digolaverdad7313 Usyk has 10 title defenses. 6 at Cruiser and 4 at Heavy.
Lmao 1 defense what you smokin?
@@digolaverdad7313rage bait
What this man has achieved in only 20+ fights is mind boggling
Unified and undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight. GOAT.
Finally a European at the top of the GOAT list for heavyweight.
Both Klychko are also there. 9 and 10 in top but there.
Old geezers on Facebook think Foreman would've ended him when they deep down know. Usyk would've given Ali nightmares
To be fair the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
Ali fanboys will jump at you, but Ali got finished by smaller bums blindly throwing haymakers lol, he's good but he's the most overrated champ ever
Foreman vs usyk would be beterbiev vs bivol and ali would win the trilogy
@@gigachad6885you’re a casual
Yes. Today all do weight cheating. Nobody fighting in their natural weight.
Василий ты явно морон:)
Cruiserweight limit is 200lb. No cruiserweights are getting to fight night at 230.
@@peterwolf4230 The Cruiserweights boil down to make the limit, and because they're larger, they rehydrate a lot. Putting 230LB aside for the sake of argument, they come in over 220LB which is as big as any great heavyweight of previous generations.
Yeah he is goated.
Absolutely. Ithi k it is impossible to beat Usyk. And this man comes from the lower weight category. Matchless.
For me Usyk is GOAT! True legend!
Has beaten the top guys of his weight classes cruiserweight and heavyweight and an Olympic gold medal he should retire top 5 fights of all time
But the top guys at hw are in the weakest era
Absolutely!
Haha tyson who lost to Douglas and a youtuber.Hes a fraud
Beautiful answer!
Yes he is
Hi from Turkey
Without doubt, technically one of the best ever.

He is.
You would think that western, especially American media would love to give press to a Ukrainian boxing champion that’s one of the best ever and 100% the best in his era
goat of this generation easily with 0 debate. of all time u could make the argument, if he beats the winner of dubious parker then hes definitely in the conversation, i would say even if he doesnt hes top 5 at least all time

yeah he is, he did something that hasn't been done since Holyfield and frankly in quite a stunning fashion he is and deserves to be remembered as a great even a great of all time
Usyk is an ATG.
If he defeats Dubois, and continues to reign undefeated, he will be in talks to be the GOAT.
Come on bro these guys are good but not that good compared to the 70’s-90’s hw
It's still crazy to me that we all call Usyk a small Heavyweight. I know it's the era but, he's bigger than Holyfield! The fact that he did all this in this era is absurdly amazing.
2x undisputed champion in 2 weight classes would be some feat.
He's a Nightmare to Fight. He's so quick to move inside and Land 3-4 bodyshots Just Like that and that alone outscores his opponents
It blows my mind people actually think Dubois has a chance against Usyk in a rematch. The win against AJ makes him look pretty good, but there are too many holes in his defense and he would absolutely crumble under Usyk's unrelenting pressure.
Usyk is a Legend! ❤
Yes he is one of the greatest
let them try to overcome the mountain like a Usyk, then we'll talk
YES!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I would rank him among the best; he defeated all the top boxers currently.
As a casual, i thought his move to heavyweight showed the division was weak rather than him necessarily being strong. But hes definitely shown he has skills to take on almost anyone. One small question is whether non-british hw boxers would represent harder challenges for him
He's definitely in the top 50
He beat all the champions at their house, name another boxer like him? A person who breaks boundaries and goes beyond the boundaries of physical capabilities.
Should we talk about why the IBF is stripping Champions? I mean, I’m not an accountant but it feels like they take a loss when they take away the belt from USYK and Canelo
IBF has always protected their belt and demanded their champions to fight mandatories.
Unlike the WBC which just lets you keep the belt and then shows up with a new one from a cereal box for someone else.
just wanna say this channel has grown so much and it's nice have been their to experience the growth, I've been here since you've had 7k subs now it feels like it jumped by 11k in just a few months
Yes. I know he's never gonna be treated quite like the greats of old, but his resume and accomplishments are absolutely up there as one of the greatest boxing resumes of all time:
-2012 Olympic Gold Medal as a Heavweight
-Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion in 2018 (One of 3 in Boxing History & First since 2006)
-Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in 2024 (First aince 2000 & First ever in the Four Belt Era)
-At Cruiserweight: Beat Gassiev and Bellew
-At Heavyweight: Joshua (2x), Dubois and Fury (2x)
-23-0 without ducking, hand picking opponents and rematching his top opponents
Also keeping in mind all his heavyweight win he's doing it while being 3-5 inches shorter, being 20-60lbs lighter than all of his opponents and being the lesser known name (so much higher risk of getting robbed).
He put lots of money on my table betting on him so he is the goat for this generation he is in the top 5 all fucking time without a doubt ❤😊🐐

The problem now is that boxers so rarely fight thats its really hard with boxers before.
what more does he need to be labeled the GOAT? olympic and european gold medalist, undisputed at cruiserweight, undisputed at heavyweight, and undefeated. i don’t wanna hear the “boxing has regressed” excuse, theres still been multiple class boxers and usyk has ran through the heavyweight and cruiserweight division. hes the goat in my opinion.

2 weight undisputed champion in less than 30 fights, Olympic gold medalist. Short answer yes.
Amateur world champion too. Somehow it's mostly omitted but in the amateur boxing world it's as high of an achievement as the olympics gold medal itself. Needless to say that the world champion is always the main favorite for the Olympic gold 🥇
Hes top 10 guaranteed, imo top 5
There is no debate..hes in the top 5.
Yes in fact he’s the GOAT. Show me someone with his overall record amateur and pro, and someone who did it as the b side, on the road, as the smaller older guy, in the 4 belt era of ducking and politics while remaining undefeated.

It’s all simple - name me another undisputed champion in 24 years
I finally think that he was born the same day as Muhammad Ali because Usyk just wanted to see the world that day and box 😂😂😂
