Why do I feel like the people who design Pokémon, and those who write their lore, and those who make the world around them have 0 communication between each other

If Alakazam and Kadabra's spoons are like Mewtwo's(yes Mewtwo has a spoon in the manga, it's nearly as big as it is) then the spoons are pure psychic energy made into a physical form, how? no clue

Considering that energy being converted into matter is literally what happens when a Pokémon leaves it’s Poké Ball, I don’t think this is too far fetched for the world of Pokémon.

I think floragato’s yo-yo does actually make sense but I’m too lazy to explain why.
Something about meowscarada having a vine attached to its flower trick but the vine looks invisible because of a magic trick. I’ve heard it from somewhere but that’s basically what I can remember from it.

Yeah Meowscarada is using some trick of the light to hide the length of its tail iirc

U r missing Spiritomb, like how many odd keystones exist in the wild? And how come everytime they cast a spell to collect all the 108 spirits per odd key to transform them into a new spiritomb?
Also Hitmonchan, where does it gets its punching gloves? Let's pretend that the dress is justified just as throh and sawk with theirs as well, but THE PUNCHING GLOVES? does these have a similar effect like the protective pads?

@@youtubestudiosucks978 That's something I don't really like about this franchise, but yeah, only baby pokemon's evolution and growing up are one and the same. With any other specie these are two seperate processes
And that's a sourse of another weird conclusion. Most of baby pokemon evolve via friendship. So they can't evolve without having a loving trainer. Does it mean that without human most pokemon species with baby evolution stage would go extinct? Does it mean they are domesticated as much as possible?

@@sowiecka7966 they can form friendship in the wild with the other first stage or second stage pokemon. You can be friends with your parents and play sports.
Friendship in pokemon is more loyalty while love in pokemon is more being clingy and affectionate.

Ah! I can at least explain Yamask. Its whole thing is based off the practice of Funeral or Death Masks. Basically A common practice from around the middle ages into the 1800's, a typically plaster or wax mask would be created of the recently deceased and usually would be worn over the actual face of the deceased during the viewing/funeral practice and usually buried with their mask (though sometimes kept by the family as a memento), but basically its implied Yamask were human in a "bygone age" that were buried with their mask. So they got the mask when they died and were buried with it.
In a more realistic sense, each Yamask would likely have a unique face mask, unless it was practice in their culture that in death the face's details were simplified? Maybe it was a class or bloodline thing, maybe identifying features were carved in. Maybe it being all the same is representative of us all returning to the earth which we came? I think its just easier for them to make one sprite for such a technically small part of the design. Though it would be neat to see like a Spinda has its spots. Maybe its all too morbid. ;P
ANYHOW Cofagrigus might be the easier representative of the Death Mask practice since its got the whole Egyptian Sarcophagus going on. But look above the Pokemon's face! There's the mask. And when we think of important Pharaoh's and such in Egyptian culture, they often have such death masks actually done right into the casket itself. Similar kind of themeing.
Galarian Yamask has a bit of a different tale. The stone slabs were likely based off a Norwegian spirit in folktale that told about a "Deildegast", (litterally a boarderstone ghost) a runestone which the spirit is forced to carry as punishment for having moved moved said stone in their life.
So this one's a little complicated but from what I understand- When someone would divide up territory between their neighbors lands with the use of boundary stones, someone who would purposefully move the stones to wrongfully enlarge their own territory was said to not receive peace in the afterlife. After dying, the the spirit becomes a deildegast- a ghost who is forced to haunt the area near the stones until they are able to lift said stones back into their correct place. The feat though is impossible, as the stone will always slip, causing the spirit to emit a sorrowful cry before trying again endlessly to no avail! FUN!
But that also explains why it becomes RUNErigus.
The painted rune on Runerigus has its own possible ties back to a lot of folklore as well, which are all interesting to read about- a lot of which though tie back to similar warnings and punishments for misdeeds. Its said to never touch the shadowy body, or you'll relive the horrors of said warnings and sorrows carved into the stone.
