Fantástica pintura de la lechuza ,plena de expresión , morfología ,color y luz , me encanta como plasma en su obra la mirada típica del ave la soltura de sus plumas ,es genial ,un cordial saludo maestra 👏👏🎨🥇👑

Very nice, I like the pose it’s very dynamic and suggests movement. Used to watch Barn owls quartering some water meadows near me. They would start flying at dusk , they really are silent and can fly really slowly. I find the markings on their backs quite challenging.

😀Thanks Alastair, this was indeed a fun one. Since this was only a 9 x 12, I basically wanted to fill the whole substrate with owl. The pose of an owl in flight fit that bill. I now have to find another owl pose that will fit the next in the series. I also find the markings on the back challenging, but very fun and rewarding to paint.

Doing the birds are so much easier. It is doing additive details when I add foliage. English Ivy. I have about 100, and clematis, fence and wire. Thinking of doing less foliage, to sell 8x10's so I can afford to switch to Masonite board, and have cut down to size. Problem before all my art supplies were stolen, I did paintings of peoples pets. Problem often times the did not have the money to pay when finished, promised to pay when they got their pay check, but then never did. TO hire a lawyer was too costly. But it was pay for my college courses and transportation. I thought of doing post card size and selling, but that has become costly. and not many places around near me. Any idea's

I’m sorry someone stole your supplies and that you had such a time collecting from commissioners. I ALWAYs take at least half the money up front. I don’t even start a pieces unless I have been paid. I do a little of commission works this time of the year. In the future, always ask for a deposit up front. I take half down.
Keeping a simple background is helpful on smaller pieces. I love painting on Masonite as it allows for the most detail in my opinion. Happy painting
