How to Kill Ludwig at Low Levels Tutorial

- Hey guys, so this is a quick commentary\tutorial on two of my low-level fights with Ludwig. The first is at BL6, and the second is at BL7 and is NG+. These are also with no buffs, so it's just tips for his movesets. Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, I'll answer as many as I can in the comments. -DJ

@@Nero_9000 second phase is fairly easy enough to do without the parry. We try to make things as difficult as they can be and then find decent ways to get around it. We don’t really use consumables or parries or at least try our best not to use them. Gives the challenges more challenge. But we do appreciate the insight and anything commented that helps others is always welcome on this channel. Thank you very much! -B3

@@Nero_9000 do you know if you’ve gotten all of the madman’s knowledge from the earlier levels? There are Two in the first level(in the sewers by the rats when you first meet the werewolf guys, one by the crows up the big ladder where you go for the music box) 8 in the cathedral ward, etc… what’s your level and weapon stats? Are you trying to play with anyone? -B3
I struggled with this for a while the first time. After watching a video to learn how to dodge him, slapped on some fire paper and a beast pellet, I absolutely melted him. I did something similar when I had a hard time with Logarius.
It's amazing how just taking a break and strategizing can help you win over brute forcing it.
Congrats on being able to beat him! We love hearing about someone being able to to beat a hard boss. Taking a break really does help. Finding yourself getting stuck in your own head can really put a damper on things. But super happy to hear you did it. -B3

Hello! I am on my way to beating this character on NG. Wanted to ask about your weapon what + level was it? My saw cleaver is at the moment at +6.
P.S. Your video helped a lot. By practicing from not doing much, now I am able to reach the second phase more often. Still need to work on the 2nd phase though. But thanks nonetheless.
It was a +10 with some good gems added to it. You should level it up maybe look up some dungeons to farm for some decent blood gems.

On my first play through of this game I sadly wasn’t very good and didn’t like losing over 30+ times. So I did the AI freeze glitch so I only had to kill his second phase which was much easier for me. But on my NG+ I had to actually get good and easily beat Ludwigs 1st phase, his second phase was the hard part this time for some reason. Only took me 3 tries after watching this video

You're great, to me the second phase of Ludwig is way harder than stuff like Inner Father and Gael still, the quick two hit combos are so intimidating.
What level was your Saif during the first fight?

They seem so erratic n everytime he does that flying headbutt I'm always next to the wall 😭
If you have to choose between chasing him or staying away from the walls, let him get away and wait for a new chance. Getting Ludwig on the walls is like a death sentence. -B3

The 2 phase kill me every time
His first phase is not really that hard for me, but his second phase is almost impossible. I've gotten him down to like 2 more hits and for some reason his attacks one shot me. Your guide was super helpful but I just can't even come close to beating his second phase
Update: I finally did it
Good work! For me the second phase is not as bad ON PAPER, but ended up being tough because I wasn't reliably getting to it every time. If he started with the sword and then switched to his phase one form at half health that phase would feel completely insane.
@@ArchibaldClumpy true, on a differnet save of mine on NG+3 i find his first phase to be even harder than his second because of how much damage he does and how agressive he is in his first phase
Yeah, it feels like chaos until you get the attack patterns. In the first phase he has combos consisting of different types of attacks which feel random until you see how predictable they are.
With the second phase you mostly just need reliable attempts where you get to it and get some practice on it.

So you aren’t getting any sequence breaks on him when you fight him?

Not Kos not even close Ludwig is by far the hardest boss in the game. For me the fight is way too hard to be any fun I can’t die 100 times without raging out.
It just takes some time and practice. Trust us when we say we’ve spent some time on all of these bosses. The talent is there my friend. Just have to keep trying even if it seems like you are hitting a brick wall. -B3
@@droppedflaggaming3043 yeah Ludwig is less of a struggle these days I’d say several of the cursed dungeon bosses are worse like the Loran Dark beast.
@@jf2849 we do have a video for the Loran Darkbeast. But yes, a lot of the cursed dungeon bosses are difficult. But I am happy to hear things have gotten easier. -B3
@@droppedflaggaming3043 I’ll see if I can find your video I can’t seem to time the I frame roll when he does his AOE blast I’m trying to stay under him but he moves around so much and I’m constantly getting screwed by the camera instead of targeting limbs im just swinging and hoping I hit something.

Cheaper ways? How about that broken ass cheap af bull rush charge that hits me when im not even on the same planet. Insta death full health.
Had some hard time figuring that one out myself. Normal levels rolling will make you take more damage if you miss the timing. Low levels. Stay close and try to recognize the signs of the charge. Hope this helps. -B3
Doesn't work. His first form has farrrr more abilities then this. This guide is so fake. Even his last form has far more abilitys then this and does 7-11 hit combos not 3

You have to remember the longer you are in the fight the more moves you will see. Point being you might be spending a little too much time avoiding him than you are trying to take his health down. There’s a reason there isn’t any shields that are useful in bloodborne and that’s because like all souls games it’s meant to be played aggressively and not passively. Shields are for that brief moment of saving grace. Not supposed to be used to hide behind. Hope this helps. -B3
