Wow, I literally hate how easy you make this look. Ive spent countless hours, broken controllers, numerous uninstall/ reinstatements and lose of my hair trying to get a build like this and u make it look like its a walk in the fucking park. Hats off to you good sir.

@@unsubme2157 bruh i have literally *done this* since seeing the video, just got Orphan, Laurence, and the endgame boss still unfinished. It's all in the blood gems, you can beat Ludwig with like 5 call beyonds if you stand at the top of the stairs and Maria gets stunlocked by the executioner's gloves, even the hardest bosses have elemental weaknesses to abuse if needed and blood bullets make ammunition a joke.
unsub me honestly, I just popped off on the whole game flamesprayer only once I got it. It was about as easy as the vid shows.
The best part about playing a 99 ARC build, is you're a terrifying pyromaniac for the first part of the game; then you get to be a Lovecraftian sorcerer and kill things with cosmic power!
It's really a cool concept, it seems that all elemental damage is determined by the user's knowledge to cosmic things (Arcane), and Fire happened to be the first element we "tamed" from the nature. Fire has been benefiting us as a tool for cleansing foods and wounds, offering light, forging weapons and being used as a weapon. And we then use Fire and Knowledge to fight other cosmic creatures, in other words, it's in fact Arcane vs Arcane!
And at the end of the game you finally become a true Great One.
As an added bonus you can use Kos parasite without the rune and actually punch things to death without dying of boredom
Or you get to be a cosmic pyromaniac. Either way, Miyazaki will be proud of you. And kudos for the guy playing in the video, he has given me a new reason to play Bloodborne again.

That isn't true, you can cheese the game pretty hard and make it braindead with any build. Parryable bosses are a joke with a skill build, you can unironically gun some bosses like amygdala to death with a bloodtinge build, some other bosses too, strenght builds stun humanoid bosses and break limbs of the other bosses so fast you can stunlock Paarl and watchdog to death. Not to mention for all of those melee builds, you can cheese all of the early game spending less resources than the arcane build just using a fire paper+ Blood Cocktail, and at the endgame with the right bloodgems, their damage can explode absurd numbers paired with beast blood pellet, don't feel bad just becaus you know how to abuse the broken stuff of your build and they don't know theirs. :)

It doesn't even stop there, using a Tonitrus, I was able to beat Rom before her first teleport without even doing dungeons or farming, it's just that good

Buick Debaron the Tonitrus you get from Yarhar Guul second time, before the One Reborn Boss fight. Once you get outside from inside the chapel, go left kill all the piggies and it’s on a Corpse next to a bagger.
What he did to Rom? What about what he did to Paarl!?
That damage output is insane. Even with weapons far upgraded beyond the point you'd normally fight Paarl it takes longer than that. I'm pretty sure +6 Hunter Axe, which is about the upgrade level you're expected to have by the time you can first reach Paarl, takes more than three hits to stagger. I didn't realise early arcane was secret easy mode.

Also for anyone wondering why his spells are so OP
it's because Hunter Tools don't have a soft cap. If you go all the way to 99 Arcane, their damage will continuously get better and better with each level up without losing the damage bonus efficiency.

my god this changes everything. Time for a re-install. And here I was stopping my build at 40 ARC because of weapon softcaps.
spehizle oh no, 40 is not nearly enough, and I regret making the same mistakes. I used to think that hunter tools like the Executioner Gauntlet or Call Beyond were wastes of bullets because they did crap damage.
But once you go over 50, that’s when the real fun begins. And yes, fire or lightning or better- the phantasm shell all scale with arcane, giving no attention to the concept of soft caps.
You go reinstall the game, and you ascend into a great cosmic hunter. May the good blood guide your way

So this just makes it more useful to go to such high miles.
I'd spend most of the time thinking "I could use this oil/bonemarrow ash/molotov, but what if I don't kill the boss, then I will have wasted them. I'll just not use them ever. You know, in case I need them for a later boss that I also won't use them on"
And that's how I cleared the game with a full inventory
Saving stuff for the last boss that I killed in my first try. I don't even remember if I used blood vials
But I'm a simple man. I see a monster, I cut it
Also, I didnt know that hunter tools were for use. Collected all of them, never used. My tools? Violence and wrath

BSB probably has the easiest parry of all bosses besides the keeper of the old Lords to where you can parry him to oblivion
@@aitorjimenez2705 On my next try, it was going GREAT until I stopped watching my health and was watching the beast's instead. Poison explosion got me. Then, I summoned some dude who pulled out a Whirligig Saw and ended the battle before I could even toss my first Pungent cocktail :(

Fantastic. Arcane is my favorite build in Bloodborne because it thematically fits all the horrifying nightmares we see. The idea of my character embracing all of it and using the power of the occult cosmic knowledge is just so satisfying.

@Deep Claymore Not really... they might not have literal stamina, but they do have limited attack patterns with pauses in between. They at least simulate stamina.

See, arcane isn't hard to do! It's only hard if you're one of those people who spec a lot into arcane and proceed to not use weapons that do arcane.
Using a magic weapon in the first two Darksouls actually does gimp you pretty hard as a mage. DS2 at least brought scaling, but even so at 50 int 30 faith my +10 fire longsword is absolute trash compared to my normal mace/rapier because slash is trash and so is split damage. But hey, they tried. It’s very picky about when your infused weapon actually benifits you. Bloodborne at least has all those other damage types combined into 1, arcane, and it works as intended without other unrelated mechanics ruining it.
I sort of had the opposite problem, I had great fire gems so my tools felt underpowered
@@amisfitpuivk As the other guy said, dark is way better than fire against most enemies in DS2, and also the proper way to wreck people with infused weapons is buffing them with the matching element. I also suspect that you used the blades ring, which is significantly less effective on split damage weapons. And why are you even comparing the longsword and mace? They're completely different weapons. Compare it to an uninfused longsword, you'll see that the damage would be about the same or better on the infused version.

Anyone who has ever played a high level D&D campaign laughed at those criticisms of the build... Wizards are incredibly squishy for most of the game, but at the highest levels, they can kill gods. Same will be true in any universe where magic is more than just a decoration.

they really are. o-o have a 99 arcane one myself and it took me a while to understand how the game works. i use a fire whirlygig, a lighting ludwigs blade, plus a arcane parasite of kos, and either the rosmarius or flamesprayer as the side arm. even on newgame plus its not terribly hard to smear bosses like they didn't even get a chance.

I've wanted to replay Bloodborne with an Arcane build, and this gives me even more motivation to do so!
I’ve done strength, bloodtinge and quality builds but when I did my first full Arcane build it really opened things up for being able to completely own bosses and indeed even at the easier starting levels. I really enjoyed the bloodtinge build too though.
This was an excellent introduction to arcane builds. I’m planning to get into Bloodborne again and this would be a fun strategy to use. Thanks.

Yeah, Cleric Beast is easy; you don't really need special tricks other than fire (molotovs or fire paper) and a good DPS weapon to beat him, that and dodging a bit to avoid some of his attacks. Cleric Beast is pretty much the Asylum Demon of Bloodborne. I agree with you though, Arcane builds can be ridiculously powerful. Glad you were inspired to get back into Bloodborne - it's a damn superb game.

First time playing any souls game, I got the fire gem from the watchdog, put it on the cleaver and I made it through Vicar without much of a challenge.
None of the souls games are that hard if you build your character right. Certain builds can make the games very difficult and if it's your first time playing then its just up to luck if you spec right.

Goddamn! 4-5 years ago I tried arcane and it was teeeeeeedious. I spend hours in the dungeons to get somewhat decent gems. This video shows that it was my fault for not trying out more things like the flamethrower. Great video.

That's the only fight that pissed me off in the entire game. I could not get close to that asshole without him spamming Auger of Abrietas at me one shot from it took away like a third of my health. Also the fight in the Unseen Village Chapel against 3 Hunters.

Arcane is my favorite way to play the game now tbh. 99 Arcane + Kos Parasite = A seriously great time. It allows you to feel really powerful and it's awesome. This video was what inspired me to even make an Arcane build. Which in doing so, gave me a new, refreshed love for the game. This game truly is one of the best games ever made. Thank you for this video.

Im a scrub, I love this game but I don't know builds or anything. I just upped my arcane to 12 and flamesprayer to +3 and holy shit I just sprayed Vicar Amelia like she was a weed. I never tried to do arcane and I am still in shock. How was it that easy?
Imagine how funny would it be to fight the Curse-Rotted Greatwood from DS3 with the Fire Sprayer, the tree turns the Hunter thinking he's just another Ashen One with a sword, then the Hunter just casually sprays his balls to death with a flamethrower.
The fire surge spell is basically a flamethrower but I guess it's not as effective as the flamesprayer.
Fire surge is more to be an asshole in pvp

i tried it with 99 arcane and i dont know what im doing wrong but it just doesnt stick with me
It’s probably because the kos parasite is a weapon and not a tool, so it likely does have a soft cap unlike arcane tools
Kos parasite doesn't benefit from fire/bolt gems very much. Best you can get is flat arcane or arcane% gems, since it already has an S scaling. Also flat arcane gems makes the transformed L2 do the stupid damage you see in PvP compilations.
@@middox239 You need to have the milkweed rune equipped for it to get it's full moveset, and even then it's very underwhelming without the right gems.

I played this game for 3 times and didn‘t even bother to give arcane a chance. Looks like I‘m replaying this, it looks so much fun
sometimes i come back to this video to remind me why i love arcane so much and why i dread all other builds, mostly because the items i want are either super ultra late game like chikage, bloodletter or church pick, i know the tryhards will say "just get the lost version its in the chalice glyph xyzstfu" but i dont have online play for playstation nor do i ever plan to, i got the ps4 for like 6-7 games that are exclusive

I just started playing Bloodborne and I am seriously struggling but I am enjoying the struggle. Watching your video opened my eyes into the possibilities of this game. Would love to give something like this a try once I master the mechanics from my first playthrough.

OMG this is insane! Playing this way literally makes Bloodborne an entirely different game, which is splendid! I actually planned to play my NG+ playthrough with an Arcane / Skill build because for my current NG playthrough I've invested mostly into Skill. And this video alone made me subscribe! :D
This makes me want to replay the entire game with an arcane build.

In other words: Everything works well.
Even if we only consider the early fire gem, due to how AR is calculated, it wouldn't make a significant difference
(And if you really want a higher AR, the key is not high native Arcane scaling, but high base damage, as shown in the chart)
Personally, I would pick a serration weapon for Fire Weapon, as serration gives 20% bonus to Beasts, which makes it a Beast Killer
But in fact, a lot of people beat the game without using serration weapons, so it's up to you.
Oh wait, if it's about early fire weapon, they you might want a weapon with a Waning slot, there's no Triangular Fire in early game (Cathedral Ward). If you really want one with a Triangular slot, it's okay, there's an All ATK up 9.1% gem at the poison cave in the forest, not so early but not so late neither

I just wanted to say thank you for making this video, as it completely inspired me to make my first arcane build.
I've beaten Bloodborne twice: once just messing around with stats and not really knowing what to level up, then another time doing a STR/END build. In both times I kept getting my butt kicked, because I'm not so good at the game apparently and I don't like to be too close to enemies. I always thought an ARC build would be cool, but I was afraid that my lack of game skills and low stats except ARC would make the game impossible for me. But after watching this video, I started a new game focusing on ARC and I'm already so happy with it. Right now I'm in the Cathedral Ward area with 17 VIT and 21 ARC and I'm having a blast with this fire sprayer. Can't wait until I'm able to do Call Beyond!
