This is so fun to watch. A further tip for the dragon on the bridge. Stand in a safe spot and wait for it to jump down, then run to the bonfire as fast as you can.
This video reminded me of why dark souls 1 is my favorite souls game. It's not the bosses which many people out a lot of points on. But for me I really like Dark Souls 1 level design and how rewarding exploration is. There's so many strong items to find early on which you can build your entire character with all the way to end game. So what many of us, who's played this game countless of times do. Is to run around the game picking up items for the first hour or so. And while exploring is super rewarding it's also really dangerous due to ghosts, skelatons, not knowing shortcuts (at first), and of course gravity and some pain in the ass enemies. So it's a very well balanced risk/reward system imo.
Grats on the Black Knight Greatsword drop. They also have a small chance to drop the shield. But for the armor you'll have to wait until late into the game to obtain it.
Tbh I kinda hate this over optimization culture of the dark souls community and how they’ll direct new players. DS has some bullshit and looking up stuff can be needed like figuring out where to go after the bell gargoyles or how to actually improve the estus, but being told exactly which to get weapon and where exactly to farm to get overleveled as well as telling the player to kill Lautrec without even interacting with his questline for the smallest optimization is too much. It’s a first playtrough, let the player play the game. At least he hasn’t been told about the master key and the drake sword.
I'm so glad I didn't have internet access back when I played this for the first time so no guides or anything available for me. Had so so many rage quits but the feeling of success after finally beating an area I've been stuck in for hours or even days was something! Wish I could experience it all again..
If your souls are ever at stake and do you care about losing them I would recommend taking it slow on the way back to them, also there are NPC summons like solaire the guy who gave you the white sign. He actually could have helped you with the gargoyles. There are also NPC Invaders. You can only receive help from friendly NPC phantoms on bosses or be invaded by NPC phantoms if you reverse hollowing. They serve to kind of enrich the experience and also can net you some cool gear; even lautrec can be summoned as a friendly but also you invade him later for killing the fire keeper. What you received from the boss fight was a key to go to an area down the stairs from outside the boss door called the depths. It is technically an optional area but everyone stops there to at least grab one of the two embers that allow you to upgrade your weapons past + 5 on to + 10, and then the second ember in New Londo lets you upgrade to + 15. The depths boss is really cool though and has a great tail weapon that I am sure you as a strength enjoyer would love to have in your collection. The merchant that sells boss armor is also down there. (There are definitely no rats in the depths)
Thank you so much for the support and tips my guy! I genuinely mean it. The game is def a learning experience for me. I came from soul games that are way faster in pace but this game is def slower. But once I adjust to it, the game starts to feel amazing.
@10:33 If you quit and reload the game before leaving the area, the loot would have been spawned where he fell from so you could pick it up. You missed the Ring of Favor and Protection (FAP), one of the best rings in the game, and also the unique armor set. There's always next time.
Yap Black Knight Greatsword is broken, people also pointed out in my comments (and some complained) about it being broken and ruining my playthrough, although it carried me halfway through I went back to Zwaihander when I reached Anor Londo, and the Zwaihander is also one of the most broken weapons in the game, big reach, big stagger, amazing heavy attack and made the game so easy, a weapon you get at lvl 1.
4:52 see, all the black nights around here DON'T respawn, and the chance of them dropping the weapon is low, so you might have to wait until the final area of the game to get one, as they respawn there.
For free cam: Glaw Grip: Index on circle. Right thumb on R3. It bends the index on the wrong axis and might hurt. It did when I started playing Soulslike. Just running in sekiro. Doesn't anymore.
There is no bonfire in the ghost area. Level design is a little messed up in this game but it's my favorite of the series because you can easily end up in places you are way under level for and get some really great gear. But if you don't know where you're going it can be frustrating and causes a ton of backtracking throughout the whole game.
you could also throw poison rot over the fog gate to kill capra demon. Theres also a skip that allows you to jump straight down into the alleyway full of thieves from undead burg.
BKGS is ridiculously strong, but if you're concerned about that, the zweihander is just as ridiculously strong in its own way (if not moreso, in terms of practicality). The zweihander's heavy attack pancakes the majority of all normal enemies, it has forward movement and pretty good range so it's easy to take advantage of it by walking backwards and baiting enemies into walking into its range. For bigger enemies and bosses, you can stagger most of them with the heavy attack in at least a couple of attacks. So imo don't worry about weapons being strong, just pick which one looks cool and feels good for you to use.
Jumping attack with black knight sword carried me through. It's busted and I don't care. Dark Souls has kicked my ass so much that sometimes you gotta flip the script. 10:31 Yo, that sucks, that item is goated. I'd quit out and see if the item reappears.
Holy shit. So I’m on my first playthrough DS3 right now and in the undead settlement I missed a few. I can just save and quit instead of Bonfiring it? Will the enemies respawn too? lol

Bro, I beat the game about ten times with the black knight's greatsword, and I oneshotted every boss in the normal game (depends mainly on your stats level)
Black Knights are rough in a straight up fight, but with backstabbing they're EZ. The big tip I'd give to conquer DS1 is simple being as I'm playing through it rn. Patience. If you rush by enemies you WILL get jumped. So the plan is simple, survive and kill everything around you. If you do that nothing can genk you lol. The slower pace of DS1 is what really hurts a lot of players who come to it after Elden Ring, DS3, or Bloodborne. This is why I always tell people if you wanna start the Souls series start with DS1 or Elden Ring. Plus the story in this game is not only good, but makes DS3's story peak. Love the videos tho bro I'm rooting for you!
Zweihänder or Zweihander (depends on your preference really) is pronounced "tsw-i-hander", it means "two-hander" or rather "two-handed" in English I believe. It is a real name for this weapon, originating in I believe 15th century.
I love your videos this far. For the boss you defeated (the one with two dogs) you can cheese it with a bow. But I guess you already realized that most difficult situations in dark souls are actually easy with the right strategy. Keep playing 😃😃
A really long time ago during a certaim unpatched version of the game if you were to have the dragon head stone and a large soul, you could consume if with a certain button combo where you would also use your breath weapon from your dragon head stone. This button combo would infinitely consume the soul you used even if you only had one of them, it would consume it for as long as you held the button combo down.
that was v1.05. They patched it in v1.06 which came out with PTDE (PC version). This glitch was only possible on ps3/xbox. V1.0 at launch of the game was seriously difficult, mobs were much more aggressive. mobs and bosses dropped literally 5x less souls, and there were less bonfires. A lot of people played on these earlier versions and quit the game since demon souls was much much easier.
2 gameplay tips: Learning to play unlocked is really good, especially if you know when to play unlocked and when to play locked on. Bosses stagers pretty easily so sometimes it's worth being greedy to go for a stager and then a free follow up attack. But it's also something you need to know your specific weapon vs each boss. Since different weapons staggers easier/harder + different attack speeds and some bosses stagers easier then others.
the new londo ruins is meant to be a later game area, i believe the ghosts drop transient curses, and also with the guy in gold armor if you go back to where he was you can pick up his stuff
u can farm ALL black knight weapons in the final area of the game, the kiln of the first flame. The Armor u just pick up there as well on the ledge. Also the for ANY loot an npc drops you just need to save and quit the game and the item will reset its location to where the npc was before you killed them, this is true for ALL the souls games btw even ds2 the ring of favor breaks if EVER removed in this game though so do not ever take it off if you equip it
BK Greatsword is broken, I guess, but you have to have a quality build to even wield it, and the R2s aren't that good IMO, especially the two-handed R2. I wouldn't feel bad about using it, as there are plenty of things that are more broken, like sorcery and pyromancy. :P

You probably don't want to be running past enemies. Most areas are tight, and if you aggro too many, you'll find yourself getting ganked like you did at the end.
This comment contains some tips for Crafting and some secrets that are easy to miss SPOILER WARNING First is crafting and different weapon upgrades. Upgrading weapons in Ds1 is similar to Ds3 there are Normal, Speacial, Boss and Elemental weapons. To upgrade normal weapons like Zweihander and Claymore needs normal Titanite, Speacial Weapons like the Black Knight Great Sword need Twinkling Titanite, Boss weapons need Demon Titanite and Elementel weapons need the Titanite in thier color (fire=red titanite). To upgrade your normal and elemental weapons you need Ambers (Key items) and give it to the Blacksmith who can use it. There are three different Blacksmiths and they all di different things. Normal weapons can be upgraded to +5 with small titanite shards. Then you will need the Large Ember wich is found in the next area where you have to go. Then you can Upgrade it to 10+ with Large Titanite Shards. Then you will need the Very Large Ember wich is found in the area with the ghosts. After you gave the Ember to the Blacksmith you can max out your weapon to +15 with Titanite Chunks and Titanite Slabs. For Elemental Weapons need Ambers to craft them the upgrade process is pretty much the same as normal but caps at +10. For Special and Boss Weapons you dont need any Ambers and can upgrade them directly after game start if you have the Material the max is +5. If you explore enough you wont have problems with the Materials. To max out a Normal Weapon you need 9 Small Titaninte Shards 9 Large Titanite Shards 7 Titanite Chunks and 1 Titanite Slab. Boss Weapons need 10 Demon Titanite. Special Weapons need 11 Twinkling Titanite. Elemental weapons are the only type im unsure because i only craft them for the Platinum Trophy and never again but i think its same as normal ones. One Tipp is upgrade the Black Knight Great Sword and Claymore because the Claymore is a bit faster and a good option if you ever have problems fighting bosses with the Black Knight Great Sword. Next is what you need to do. You know you need to ring both bells of awakening. At the Start of the game a little difficult to tell where you have to go but after the next area wich you can enter by going down the stairs before the Capra Demon Bossfight (btw there is a npc in the area with the dogs who some how locked himself in a house) its more obvious wherw you have to go. There are also three "secret" areas in ds1. One can be entered now if you use the elevator wich leads from the Firelink shrine to Undead Parish and go out of it before it arrives at the bottom of firelink shrine pick up the item on the roof and search for something you can iteract with and wait some time. If you arrived go every where you can because there are aome good items and the key to one of the other secret areas. Next area is in everybodys favourite area hidden behind two hidden walls in a giant tree. The last one is accessible in a city later in the game. The Bonfire in the Darkroot garden is not the only one behind a hidden wall. If you miss something important the comments will tell you. You are awesome!
bro misses the illusory wall in darkroot garden entirely but still manages to get to the bonfire. i had no idea that was even possible.

At the bonfire in the woods, try hitting the wall in front of it 🙂
yep, I played 3 - 2 -1, and the first game was the hardest
All the Black Knight weapons are good, but my favorites are the Halberd and Sword. The Greataxe and Greatsword are a bit slow for my taste.
Black Knight weapons all deal bonus damage to demons, which there are a few in this game
Tougher game to play AFTER Elden Ring and DS3 instead of BEFORE playing them, since you're used to slicker controls.
Embrace the dark side of the dark Knights weapons
Bro you need the grass crest shield in the bottom of dark root garden. It regenerate stamina.
I honestly can't stop laughing. You are brilliant!
Brother! Just have a little patience and clean well the areas... This game WILL punish you if you just run pass al the enemies in this congested areas!
Fr fr tho
wait until dark souls 2 there the real fun begins.
Ngl that's my level now and I am in blight town 💀💀💀💀
> Makes bad decisions
> Dies
> Rages
Lmao
First step of all, kill The guy with dragon tooth.
Second, kill the guy with golden armor.
This two guys have The Best rings in the game
Why i always call illusory walls invisible walls?
You got this dude. Keep it up!
remember before big boss fighhhts llikke the gargoyles uuse a humanityy at the bonfire and youll be ablle to see suummon signs outside the boss roomm fromm npcs like solaire....there was one for solaire right before entering the gargoyles
this is wholesome to watch
Bro I cannot believe you got the black knight greatsword to drop on your first attempt . My first playthrough didn’t get it until the very end of the game when you can farm black knights
reminds me of my first playthrough. lol. the struggle is real. he's playing like every first time player. lol. this is the classic "get gud" experiance!
You probably don't want to be running past enemies. Most areas are tight, and if you aggro too many, you'll find yourself getting ganked like you did at the end.
Thanks for the tip my guy but having to clear all the enemies in the same area just to get back to the boss is kinda a choir ngl
@@TrueSquareFace Having to get back 7k souls is a bigger chore
@@TrueSquareFace fair enough,
Black knight greatsword is the fucking goat.
Game got 100% easier when i got lucky and found it😂
If you stand on the arch he can’t reach you and you can repeatedly plunge attack. Makes it an easy boss.
the funny thing is the zweihander is way better than the black knight greatsword lol
i love ur vids
Thanks my guy!
Yeah the Zweihander..
Wait for the time when you want to wear 2 GOLD TRACERS and the Dark Wood Grain Ring, to think you can be cooler than Ciaran
13:28 Well now there’s no doubt in my mind he’s never played Dark Souls 2 😂
Fighting the Capra Demon in the bathroom! 💪
This will not be hardest souls game once you play 2nd
This comment contains some tips for Crafting and some secrets that are easy to miss SPOILER WARNING
First is crafting and different weapon upgrades.
Guys please tell me if something is not right
