Kantech is an awesome product. When I sold them they were still using DOS (EntraPass) , then WinPass for windows. Nothing was network able. It was all rs 485 (with a converter) They have always been behind every other manufacturer as far as I can remember. We still install them (around 2 percent of our access control) . 1,2,4 door controllers POE capable yet? Bet not.
With controller connectivity loss, where would I begin to troubleshoot? Static IP is responsive and only one controller out of four is not responsive. Your assistance is appreciated.
Can a external universal garage door opener ( defiant universal opener product MK-1TH) be used to open and close a gate on the kt400? Any help would be usefull
+Sluggie KT-400 can comes with 4 onboard relay ready to be used (dry contact)you could set 1 of those relay to follow lock output // this will do the job.or you can use an external relay connected at the lock-output of the KT-400 and the other part going to your Gate system.In any case this can be done.
