I love watching Art book collection videos, seems we have similar tastes as we have pretty much the same books. (theres about 4-5 I havent got but second hand prices are crazy between £100 -£600 for the iron Giant one)
I finally got chance to sit down and watch this, I'm obsessed with art book hauls so thanks for indulging me hahaha

This is the best art book collection!
Great collection! I love James Gurney's book as a reference, even if I don't utilize it as much as I should. For art books, I would also recommend The Art of Wolfwalkers. It is an absolutely beautiful book with the perfect combination of pictures and text. Art of Beauty and the Beast is also amazing.

Art books are the stuff of dreams. Oceans, deserts, angels, forests, still life, plants and people -- the images stay with you long after you have finished the book.
Sci Fi art books are even better.
These are my 2 favorite art books on Amazon:
- Aviation Art by Lou Drendel
- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
All of these books look SO GOOD! I have The Art of Up and The Art of Moana and I love them so much, they're such a fantastic resource for artists 😍

I have the Design and Animation books for the Disney archive series and they were so great for me through high school ish time love looking at the art of those especially design. Animation one really helped me with learning anatomy for animation style design through studies and stuff. They are the only art books I have but they are fascinating to go through

I'm jealous of some of your books, the design volume from the Disney four-parter in particular. I think my favorite The Art of [...] book is probably Rango, even after all these years. I might have to get that guide book on rates and prices.

I'm really glad I clicked on this video!! I love the way you discuss your thoughts and ideas about the books you have. The art of Frozen & Monster's University are in my personal collection, as well as Moana, The Incredibles 2, Coco, Toy Story 4 and Ray and the Last Dragon. Several of the books you mentioned I used the public library to check out myself. I'm surprized that no MCU books made your list. I have 11 of their books: Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame and the 2 Spider-Man films. I love reading them too!! I don't want to pay out the money for a book that doesn't educate me to the process. I've got a couple of books from films that were not well received, but their art books were actually really good: Green Lantern and the live action Ghost in the Shell. I've learned a lot about setting a price for my own artwork through watching your videos. Keep up the great work that you're doing!

HI, I a retired nurse who is returning to my first love art. I enjoy all your videos. If you are looking for things to talk about: How about how to draw different characters, people, animal, scenery, etc? From start to finish. Other UA-cam videos talk about their families or towns they live in. I hope this helps.

I am so new at illustrating that i didn't even know such books exist, i am such a newbieeee😂 i think I'm gonna buy the art of tangled😍 also Anoosha I've a q, how long do you think should one practice and learn until ready to illustrate a book? I started an online illustrating course 4 months ago and i am so impatient, i wanna illustrate my book asap🥲
Potentially you could start as early as you want! However you might find that it’s less about how much you practice but more about what your art looks like and if it is marketable, that might be a barrier along the way. Depending on how you are publishing your book; if you’re doing traditional pub you might need to win over an agent or the publisher, and if you’re self pub then your art needs to resonate with an audience so you can sell copies.
There isn’t a required time you need to practice, and I’ve seen successful artists with various skill levels, but it all depends on if you’re able to appeal to your specific audience and if not, then you just gotta work at it a lil more. Hope that makes sense!
