The Japanese brewed Asahi Super Dry is my go to, lovely beer.

Asahi is quite dry after 2 or 3 drinks it's difficult to consume more.

Awesome video once again! I have tried most of these being a Japanese beer guy and you definitely had a very similar experience as I did when trying all of these. I truly feel like Asahi is good and unique. Definitely a good beer. Sapporo is ALWAYS a solid close second as well but much more bite to it I would say. As for Kirin... It is a shame because branding wise... I think they have the coolest posters and logo but I totally agree with you that there was just SOMETHING off with that one particular flavor in their flagship beer. Difficult to fully explain but it was not good when compared to Asahi and Sapporo.

I’d be very curious to know how they compare to the ones brewed domestically. The Japanese beers from those 3 brands you see in Europe and North America are brewed locally, and probably taste a bit different than what you’d get in their home country.

i don't know why but i always describe japanese beers as like "drinking a flower" ...
ASAHI is my favorite out of all the japanese branded beers
but just their draft beer is my favorite and goto beer in every bar...

Never thought of that phrase, but definitely see what you mean - that softness especially for Asahi.

Sapporo is the only one i've ever seen in a store (NH) and i gotta say i really enjoyed it

It's a good beer, if Asahi is available, that might be worth a try as well.

I am in NH also.. You can get Sapporo, Kirin and Hitachino Nest beer at the Beer Store in Nashua (and a few other places in NH) but unfortunately Asahi does NOT distribute to NH. With that said... I am a lover of Japanese beer and I recently drove to a store in Massachusetts that sells Asahi Super Dry... And MY GOODNESS... It was totally worth the drive! It genuinely is a unique beer with a fantastic taste and I would HIGHLY recommend making the drive down to Massachusetts to buy some. If you can't do that... The high quality Japanese restaurant in Keene (Kurama Omakase) does serve Asahi Super Dry with meals. Or you could just slam a beer with me and my buds one of these nights... LOL! Cheers!

One last thing... I do agree that Sapporo is definitely the GO TO Japanese beer if you cannot get Asahi... All I drank before I tried Asahi was Sapporo. I was not a fan of Kirin just like "On Tap" wasn't a fan. But once you go Asahi... You NEVER go back! haha. It's THAT good.

The video was a bit slow for me ... I've generally liked/loved Japanese beers ... damn Japanese ... [ like Germans taking over Czech Pilsners] ... They take a good idea and refine it up ! I'm American and still have my favorites ... but Japanese whiskey ! Damn ! .... but still prefer my Kentucky Bourbon.
