Its always amazing how Tokyo, the biggest City on our Planet doesn't seem to be over crowded or chaotic. It is bustling, modern, traditional, exciting, clean and very safe. Its a civilized Mega Metropolis full of Life and Possibilities. Its one of those Cities which are legendary and rightfully an adored tourist Destination. Its a Window of a great and wonderful Nation to the World. I love everything that came out of Japan. One day i will visit this Wonderland and enjoy every second of it.

8:17 15:04It happened to me too, when I told people (non-Japanese) that I was going to Japan, some people told me things like "Japanese people are so cold, unfriendly and mean", some even said I would probably hate it after spending couple of days in Japan. Once I got there, what I experienced was totally the opposite of those horror stories those people have told me. I absolutely loved it and all the people I interacted with were all very nice and friendly.

Most of us don’t speak English and are ashamed of ourselves. That tends to make us becoming shy, and in turn may seem that we are cold. Those who visit Japan tend to think that they may struggle getting around because they don’t understand Japanese, but the truth is the complete opposite.

This is the same reason why I love Japan. I visited it earlier this year for our TV show. You must definitely see their cherry blossoms!

When you arrive at Tokyo Station, we recommend exiting from the Marunouchi exit. The view of Tokyo Station, which was built 100 years ago, and the skyscrapers surrounding it is amazing. There is also a free museum of the University of Tokyo at a commercial facility called KITTE in front of the station. You can also see the Imperial Palace in front of Tokyo Station.

If you don't like it too hot Middle of may is warm but the sea is still cold and early may is holidays and can be too busy). April for cherry blossoms. Avoid June as it rains everyday.

Food, beverages, even some souvenirs are really affordable. Estimate about $700, but all depends on how you like to do things while traveling.

It’s just waaaay too many people and I can see how it can get confusing if you don’t know the places or don’t read Japanese. In Shinjuku Station, I always need to psych myself up, take a deep breath and pause before wading into the sea of people all moving at a fast pace. I need to keep up that pace to not crash into people. Then, when I get to the exit, I pause and exhale hahaha.😂

Just got back from 2 weeks solo in Japan doing the 3 big cities, and am loving your videos. They really take me back to that amazing city and you keep dipping into the little nooks I braved. It's funny how you start out confused and bewildered but you gain your confidence and start to learn it all.
The big thing you didn't need to worry about was catching onwards trains you booked. They run every 3-5 minutes and mostly don't need reservations. Your ticket works just fine as you have JR Pass.

This is a thing I never could understand why people always either rusing or get frustrated when they get out out of the airport and figure out next step for local transportation. You are on VACATION, relax and take your time to look around and start step by step what you need to do before get in Tokyo. You don't need to stress yourself out to get things you needed. You will get it all done so relax and enjoy your vacation. How I did it, I find a group of tourist and follow them to do all the steps and it would be fun sometime to figured something and share with the group.

And I agree, but also have a paper map of Tokyo just in the case of not having an internet connection, and also (this is personal opinion), I recommend using a portable wifi instead of the SIM cards card because SIM cards are very limited in terms of internet connection, contrary to the wifi that has a better internet connection.
Another point is that those who come to Japan with a budget or want just a place to sleep and keep your luggage, I vividly recommend going to hostels, they are affordable and I always went to a hostel in Asakusa, where even some hotels an ryokans are also very affordable, Asakusa is a great neighborhood and I recommend it!

But let me tell you my very first experience in Japan... Stress. Because it was overwhelming, but NOT in a bad way at all, but a massive culture shock compared to my hometown in Australia.
The public transport was very intimidating at first, and there were people all over the busier stations, but after a couple of days, it was super easy and SO efficient. Loved it!
I love Japan, and you can bet I'll be going back there when I can, even with the changes to the JR Rail pass, Suica, etc.
