I liked it the first time, and I like this one even more. I listened to the first recording again -- this one sounds much more fluent and legato. Practice is a wonderful thing! Well done Eric.
Eric: Very very well played! So beautiful! Appreciates the dynamics and that you are taking your time. These parts creates a very relaxed and enjoyable feeling. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of this gem! Take care! //Tobias
Thanks, Todd. I love the whole opus as well, and have recorded a few others pieces from it. My favorite recording of the opus is by Christian El Khouri - is that the CD you have?
Nicely phrased, Eric! A clear and concise interpretation. The lighting in your video seemed better than usual too, but maybe it was the decorations. The only thing I would have suggested is purely cinematic: to have had a vase of a dozen roses in the background, or to have worn a rose on a blazer lapel. 🌹
Thanks, Andrew. I play a Hernandez Model 1A. I got it used as a trade for my electric back around 1990, but I have no idea how old it actually is. It's the only classical guitar I have ever owned. I have looked it up and it's worth about $600. For strings, I use D'Addario J45 medium tension. They are inexpensive, easy to find, and extremely consistent. I have experimented with many more expensive strings, but I keep coming back to the D'Addarios.
@@ericphillips7057 Well, guess you don't need a $4000 guitar to sound good 🤣 I'm also a fan of D'addario. I really like Augustine Regals and La Bella's stuff but I think D'addario is a notch above them.

Thank you, Steven. I feel much more confident about it now.

Yes! I love getting to the place of freedom when playing.

Thanks, Josh! You have a much better flare for those sorts of things than I do.
Nicely done! Just curious, what kinda of guitar and strings are you playing on Eric?
