Hi debra. Awesome for u do do this! I should have shown you my slatted bed platform in my van. Can't wait to see it with the mattress and drawers! See you.
Way to go! Excited for you! Looking forward to how you stabilize stacked 2x4's before putting on drawer slides. Maybe a piece of flat metal strapping in plumbing dept with holes to screw into! I think that strapping is only $20.00
Home Depot has a great wood cutting machine it will cut very precisely, just have the measurements ready when you head into the store. I love Home Depot, also buy a battery powered drill , they are so much better than dragging a cord around. The van looks wonderful 🎉
Shims like putting in a window or cabinets for gaps in wood. Nice job😊 I looking to do my Pacifica no build next year. I have been purchasing things. Getting ideals from U TUBE. Thinks for sharing.
Nice job. To connect your your stacked legs, either put a metal strap between them or a piece of wood and screw into each one. I am afraid that if you don't, it might detach. You might also find tubs that fit beneath without the need for drawers. They will be portable for moving gear in and out. Just a thought! Good travels.
I used those heavy duty 4 ft wire shelves you see in kitchens. Breathable light and very strong. Use dog jumbo purple beds. You can stack them on each other when not in use. I use my mid seats as part of the bed. I'll one day video it. T&c sleeps 4 comfortable
Love your get up and give it a go attitude to tasks, and your hands on with the doing it, but you could have made it so much easier for yourself.. Don't know what you would call it over there but in Scotland their called dwangs or noggings, basically cut bits of wood to the correct size, which will be fitted at the top of the upright bed columns, to connect the columns together, to give the columns more strength and rigidity.. UA-cam won't let me add photo's to describe it better.. Keep smiling gorgeous..
