Amazing video! I'm terrified of Command Line, but you really made this easy to follow, I'm wondering, I'm trying to use a mod for Wii Muisc called Rii Major, but the mod contains a lot of folders and files that aren't found in the original iso of wii music, how would I go about adding these in? I've tried only replacing files that the iso already had, I can get the game to boot, but then it crashes, any help?
That sounds a lot harder, if you can't find all the files then they've probably made some of there own binary for riivo, I've never used Rii Major, I think your best bet is to see if Rii Major has an ISO patcher as that would do this for you or if not try asking on a Rii Major forum/wiki. Thats what I would do or just run it on a Wii with Riivolution
@@5k33k I think just search the web and try and find a patcher sometimes the mod creators make one e.g. Wiimms mario kart fun. Try having a look at dolphilusion. I think your best bet though is to ask on the forums.
it says it cant open that file when I type that into command prompt I typed wit extract Mario Kart Wii NTSC-U.iso newfolder is there something wrong with my game iso or what?
your file has spaces in it, make the file not have spaces by replacing them with underscores ex: Mario_Kart_Wii_NTSC-U.iso. Also you have to add --dest between the file and the folder, full command: wit extract Mario_Kart_Wii_NTSC-U.iso --dest newfolder
This is completely unrelated to the tutorial at hand here but I have a question: If you’ve ever played JHFR you’ll have noticed that all the game menu buttons and title screen buttons and vehicle stat bars etc... are purple rather than yellow. Do you know how I can achieve this on ctgp/what files control this colour that I’d need to copy into my ‘my stuff’ folder?
I installed WIM on my PC and run the command. It returned an error saying the WIM command does not have an action or batch file associated with it. Help?
First of all the program is called wit (Wiimms ISO Tools) Not WIM so don't type WIM into you're command prompt! Try typing wit -h into your command line, If you still get that error it is because windows cannot find the program so try restarting your computer (important) as wit edits the system environment variables so cmd etc can find it. Restarting will initialise this. If that still dosen't work try uninstalling / reinstalling. If it still dosen't work let me know btw I'm assuming you're using windows if not pls tell me
@@NFSPROSTRT I think it must just be a bug in wit for the windows version etc. I installed it on my linux build and it worked out of the box but with windows there's a 50/50 chance you need to restart lol.
you need to put the filename of your extracted game (e.g. mine was RMCP01.iso) after wit extract not the name of the game. This is shown at 0:49 in the video.

Never stop accelerating (which I made!) uses gecko codes which won't work with this method because the way I ran the codes for the mod was riivolution only. but dolphin can run gecko codes anyway so if you look up how to run cheat codes on dolphin I can give you the codes I used for infinite accelaration mod and if you patch the iso as well then it should work
