I'm having trouble installing the Mario Kart Wii Variety pack... I did everything like in the video, could you please help? I can get the mods in the menu, like the Blue Shell mode, but it doesen't do anything in the game. The variety pack also came with its own XML file in a folder called riivolution based on region, don't know where to put that.
I'll probably have to install this on my Wii to work out what's going wrong for you but it sounds like you've haven't installed the region XML correctly. I'll try and get back to you with a working install as from that we can probably work out what's gone wrong.
@@hackercop I managed to fix it... it appears that I was putting the variety pack folder inside the mkw folder, but I should have put it in the root folder. I think I already tried something like that, but now it works. But thanks for being willing to help!
I want to add the variety pack download that includes mission mode for Mario kart wii but it doesn’t appear as an option in revolution even though the pack is extracted and in my mkw folder. Can someone please help?

Do you follow these same steps if you have more than one mod for the same game? Or do split the mod files in 2 separate folders? Because I’m using 2 and one worked and the other one didn’t.
Hi! I’m not familiar with this sort of thing at all, but would it be possible to make a usb GameCube controller patch for mkwii in riivolution? There are some mods I’d like to use with the GameCube controller, but can’t with the vwii. Thanks in advance

The only things related to this I could find were mods that were designed solely with gcn usb compatibility in mind- meaning you can’t use them with mods (except for a project m one I saw). Do you think I could just rip something from nintendont that allows that compatibility and get riivolution to run it with the other mods? Again, I know next to nothing about this stuff, so sorry if these are weird questions
@@DayE114 tbh I don't know, I've never attempted to use a GCN controller with this. What exactly are you trying to do as mkwii does support GCN controller?
@@hackercop I’m using a Wii U now since my other Wii broke. Because of this you can’t use a gcn controller without some modifications. Ctgp is the only thing I know of on the vwii that has the GameCube usb compatibility installed inside it, so I was wondering how to implement that same patch in riivolution so I could play different mods with GameCube
@@DayE114 I don't know I don't have a Wii U, if there is no software solution then it's probably easier just to buy a real wii, you can get them "console only" for just £10 thats what I did.
Make sure that you copy the riivolution app folder, not the one on the root, you want to copy the riivolution app folder straight to the apps folder on the sd card
Hi, i'm wondering, i got Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special for the Wii off Ebay from Japan, i was able to launch it and play it via Homebrew + Gecko OS, I'm also going to download Riivolution onto Homebrew, i came across English Translations that some guy made for the game, I'm wondering how i should put the English Patch for the game onto my SD Card, the file is WBFS, do i do something similar to what you say to do in the description?
WBFS is a file format for ISO images of Wii games so it sounds like the guy has already patched the game with his English translation. This means that you will not be able to run this mod using riivolution because the game is already patched. Using Wiimms ISO Tools you could extract the WBFS and place that in the patch folder but the easiest way to run this mod is to use homebrew that can load the WBFS ISO image. I downloaded two character mod replacements for Luigi and Donkey Kong but they don't work can anyone help me? The mods are the Chuck E Cheese mod for Luigi and Brooser for DK they are both on gamebanana
The game is not starting ( it is crashing) because of your codes so sounds like your codes are the wrong region, that will causes crashes. You are from Spain so you need to use RMCP01 codes (Europe region).
Unfortunately not, I believe its because the way riivolution patches files/memory offsets is too low level for dolphin to emulate. You can still patch the game manually though and thus run riivolution mods with dolphin www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator/comments/j0svkl/riivolution_on_dolphin/ or you could build an ISO that you can run on dolphin from a riivolution mod wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/ISO_Patcher

Same here I’m sure I can help. But I don’t know MKA either. However, if you mean you want to get Mario Kart Wii (MKW) to work on your wii because you don’t have a working disk, I can give you specific instructions on how to do so.
If you downloaded the Wiimmfi files then you could use Wiimmfi with this patch template. However if you just want to play online on Wiimmfi it would be much easier to download a custom track distribution that has Wiimmfi support e.g. CTGP: www.chadsoft.co.uk/
Are you using the patch template I used in the video? make sure your putting the riivolution folder in the root of your SD card as well. I've never had this problem but if it persists you could try removing/renaming ctgp folder so that riivolution cannot access it.
I did all the steps correctly, but when I launch into it, it sends me back to the Wii menu (vWii)

No this is for riivolution only but if USB loader supports riivolution patch templates you could give it a try.
