I really like how you made the red panther unique and didn’t make it an ape hunter or go for the more accurate theory of a terrestrial ungulate specialist, and instead made it a jaguar analog that actively hunts both mammal and archosaur alike in Kaimere’s wetlands.
Marvelous episode! The red panther has, since the first time I found this saga, my favorite big cat of Kaimere, such a powerful mammalian carnivore capable of taking down dinosaurs, it's truly a great achievement for all mammals on this wild world. This has also inspired me to add a jaguar analog into my own King Kong related project, which would be a descendant of nimravids and, while more solitary than the red panther, this animal will also hunt dinosaurs, as well as large fish and other armored prey such as crocodilians, turtles and even giant crustaceans.

Something that I’ve been wondering as of late. You have said before that you’ve been considering on if any spinosaurs may remain on islands or in secluded populations and such. Maybe there could have been some that stayed in caves and such for their water and evolved there? For stegosaurs I’m only still thinking for the jurassic islands. As a idea. Additionally with some of the older stuff that wasn’t touched on for a while like ankylosaurs, therizinosaurs and such. Additionally are there any protoceratopsids or otters in kaimere? That wasn’t answered yet.
Nice video but I do wonder what is the technological level of Kaimere's most advanced civilization ?, I always assume it was Victorian or medieval level with some advance technology like drones from Earth.
Something I try to emphasize is that while they have a lot of advanced technology, kaimerans generally lack the robust workforce to make such tech available on an industrial scale. They do have factions with robust industry, but for the most part, the this industrial focus is on agriculture. Kaimerans age very slowly, are often more careful as a consequence of anticipating a 5-7 century life, and also their magic is very demanding on their metabolism, so they need around twice as much food as a human of the same size. All that means getting a substantial work force that is willing to endure the sort of shall we say efficient conditions needed for industry on our level is hard to come by. They have a lot of very advanced tech (some have microscopes, understand microbiology close to our level, etc) but a lot of the infrastructure just isn't there. For example, Bolondakoi has steam powered carriages, but very few places in Kaimere have roads for them, so even if you can afford the obscene price of a steam car made entirely by hand, you're likely better off just riding a horse since it doesn't need the same careful roads.

Please make a video in which you explain to us animals domesticated by humans on this planet, and if there are also domesticated animals from Earth such as chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, sheep, etc.??
I guess man eating big cats is a thing because they're relatively recent and evolved mainly on Earth, so their evolutionary behaviour is more "tuned in" towards hunting primeapes/people? Red panthers being far less prone to man eating (outside of almost unheard of certain circumstances, like if they were starved and mistreated in human captivity perhaps) because they're big cats that have deeper evolutionary roots in Kaimere alongside therapod dinos (who are also less prone to predating primeapes and people).
Indeed! While red panthers have been among people for 1.5 million years, they tend to favor habitat where people avoid in Kaimere. However, they are acclimated to people in the Seridic wetlands. It may be that region has more man-eaters, but as the Serid dislike the Great Library and Empire, not a ton of studies have been done there on human-animal relations
@@TalesofKaimere It must happen, but it's vanishingly rare (if they're literally starving or misidentify), and even the more familiar big cat predators don't really kill and consume humans often in absolute terms on Earth or on Kaimere (even if there is more of a spike of big cat attacks on Kaimere due to pressure/partitioning forced by Archosaurian super predators and most Kaimere peoples living at a more exposed hunter gathering to Iron Age level).
I heard if crossed with a white panther the resulting cat is unusually crafty and often accompanied by jazz

Additionally with some of the older stuff that wasn’t touched on for a while like ankylosaurs, therizinosaurs and such. Additionally are there any protoceratopsids or otters in kaimere? That wasn’t answered yet.
good show

How old do red panthers live for?
Considering they don’t hit maturity until around 7-8 years for males and 5 years for females.
Can you do a dedicated video on homnin evolution in Kimere, that would be interesting.
Could you do a balled of big al again but with a red panther or corpse serpent
This year's subject is a zentaur but I do plan on a red panther having a xenofiction story in one of the later anthologies!
@@TalesofKaimere neat
@@TalesofKaimere we're getting another ballad? Oh yes. Oh very yes. Given the range of zentaurs it would be a great way to show off the known world. Seeing the praires through an uktans eyes was fascinating.
Hey, i was wondering if you have any plans for a TTRPG built around kaimere.
Plans? Yes, I've got early work on a system but it's still quite early concept.
@TalesofKaimere I design ttrpgs as a hobby, and the more I watch your videos the more ideas I get for one, if you would be open to the idea of collaboration, I'd love to help.
@@krioswordsmith1017 That sounds rad! I've got a list of potential consultants for it. Please email me at theillustratedmenagerie@gmail.com and I'll add you to the list! Again likely won't get to this for a couple years but I am hoping to have a solid group when the time comes
Please make a video in which you explain to us animals domesticated by humans on this planet, and if there are also domesticated animals from Earth such as chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, sheep, etc.??
I wonder if these guys can roar
They cannot, at least not by the strict definition of a roar analogous to the famous roar of most Panthera
Please make a kangaroo in kaimere video
2:04 what unfortunate therepod is that to be killed by a red panther?
It's a weochetu'ka, a theropod in Pakardia
@@TalesofKaimereare they a part of the Red Panther's diet or it's just a rival species that the Red Panther managed to put down?
Super early, let’s goooo
What is the meta reason for why Southeast Asia was chosen to get a harvest
There is no meta reason
Are there any species of small cats in Kaimere?
Yes and with more species than big cats I just haven’t drawn them
How much for a video on the Felinae (Small Cats of kaimere
What was the largest sabertooth animal on kaimere
How do the red panthers interact with the pachycrouta
Generally Pachycrocuta favor more open terrain, though they sometimes hunt or scavenge in the lakes. Red panthers tend to flee hyenas.
Awesome
