Coming to your channel each Tuesday is like waiting to read the next chapter in my favorite book. I can't wait; I'm never disappointed; I'm filled with wonder, and I can't wait for the next one!
Haha. I agree!
Me too!!!😁😁😁
Sweet, Kristina! I just woke up-I slept in with a bit of a headache-yours was the first comment that I read, and I’ve already had a great day! Thank you so very much for those kind words!
Me too!
I feel the same! She's amazing!
I'm tired of everything being painted white as well. I still like some of it, but love having some natural brown mixed in with furniture and decor. It creates much more interest and character.
I’m 19 and I’ve never subscribed to a channel faster than this one. Your videos are so comforting, and I love how creatively you think❤️
Mallory, I am so flattered to have a young woman as a subscriber! Most of my viewers are middle-aged, so it’s nice to know that there are young people who appreciate vintage/thrifted decor, too!😊
Those mittens look cozy enough to wear. I subscribe to She Holds Dearly too. Two peas in a pod for our crafting and decorating enjoyment 😉.
Epsom Salt is another great way to give your holiday decor a wintry look. I spray my pine boughs, pine cones etc with spray adhesive and then sprinkle on the Epsom salt. It gives it a bit of an ice crystal/snow look and sparkles as well. I sometimes add a tiny bit of very fine glitter to the branches as well, for a bit more sparkle. Another Great video this week!
I love that frosted look without all the glitter.
Lllk
@@lorihouchin4732 no I'm on
Welp, like Pavlov's dog here I am. You never disappoint! So many fab ideas again, awesome lady! 👌 👍❤
Now this is high end, creative and unique. You won’t find this at every craft sale you go to! ❤
Thank you, Faye! 😊
I love the tinker toy tree! It’s absolutely adorable!!!
I thought my favorite was the woodland plaque until you added the cardinal in the lantern stand. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for sharing.
Those two pieces were my favorites. However I did not like the chicken picture painted over for the hot chocolate bar sign. I really was admiring that picture and then she painted over it. Yikes!
You said the exact thing I was going to say! lol.
@@TuckerSP2011 I really liked it too. Sometimes, crafting requires hard decisions.
Oh, and the popcorn bowl....⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think everything was my favorite!!!!❤️
Love, love, love your creative ideas. Repurposing items and making lovely creations are A+. I look forward to Tuesdays and thank you for sharing your ideas.
I’ve been crafting for over 30 years For the past several years I’ve watched many UA-cam DIY channels. Except for a friend of mine that has a channel, you and she are the only channels I now watch. Your creativity is amazing. I wish you had an Etsy shop! Many blessings. ❤️
Again you have done it again! Beautiful work and ideas. Love your channel!
Oh my goodness, I can never get enough of your designs.
Oh my goodness how cute is that Tinker Toy tree!!
I love the tinker toy ornaments
Everything you shared with us today was outstanding, I especially loved the Tinker Toy Tree!! Thanks for sharing your creations!
Thank you Sherry for bringing a smile 😃 to my day. I'm missing my mom and crafting with her! Hugs!
Okay. It’s official. You are using a magical wand to transform everything you touch into something wonderful!! I just adore it all. My favorite? The Tinker Toy tree. 🎄 Just precious!! But seriously, Sherry, you are so talented. If you ever come to NJ, we must go thrifting together!!!
Oh, Marina, that would be so much fun! I’m sure that NJ thrift stores have an array of things that I never see in Illinois! I should probably rent a U-Haul when I come!
I'm in NJ as well, & I would also love to join in on a Sherry led thrifting adventure here in NJ! What fun that would be!
@@CanterburyCottage yes ma’am! Anytime 😍
Delightful projects! Many of them could potentially stay up all winter, with their woodland cosy feel. Somehow it was the scrappy mittens that really caught my eye. Love it 😊 thanks!
Thank you, Stephanie! I think the mittens might have been my favorite, too-I love that they were made with fabric that I was getting ready to throw away.As always, thank you so much for leaving a comment. Hope you have a great week!
That deer plaque stole my heart, and I'm still on the fence about decorating with animals! It was so beautiful in white, and that frame was the perfect touch! I'm definitely going to look for something similar. I also loved what you did with the green popcorn bowl. I always get so much inspiration here! 😊
Same ! All if it 100%
The Tinker Toy tree brought back memories of the many hours I spent playing with my Tinker Toys in the early 60s!
Upcycling and repurposing are my jam and your videos only add to my toolkit. Thank you!!
Good Morning Sherry. 🤗
I had the opportunity to start work later today, so of coarse when I received my notification that your video was uploaded, I just had to stop and spend time with you right away. I couldn't think of a better way to start off my day. The deer plaque and the tinker toy tree, the red mittens and so much more were just so wonderful!! You're simply such a pleasure to watch and like all your subscribers, we just love you!! 💞
Have a fantastic week!!
Lindy
Another great video! I just picked up a couple of spring form pans at the thrift & needed some ideas on what to add in them for a cute Christmas scene, now I have a couple ideas 😁 Thanks so much!
Also, I have volunteered at my local Council on Aging thrift shop every Monday for the last 6 or 7 years now and I can not tell you how many hand made afghans AND handmade quilts we have at any given time! Between that and handmade doilies, I can't believe what people put value on and what they just toss away!
I have a handmade quilt hanging on my wall right now that a 90+ yr old woman was selling at her yard sale about 10 years ago, she was selling it because her family wasn't interested in it. This woman in her 90s said she made it when she was young with the help of her grandmother. I can't imagine a family member turned down inheriting it! I got a wall shelf with a quilt hanging bar and it's makes a beautiful wall hanging. I also have a good amount of beautiful handmade quilts and afghans on my bed, my sons bed and even my couch, lol! I'd cherich them if my family members had made them, not toss em in a donation bin and drop them off at the nearest thrift shop. But people are strange these days 😉😂
That just makes me mad that no one in that woman’s family wanted her quilt! Even if you don’t like the pattern or colors, use it as an extra blanket! I am so glad it went to someone who loves it! When my mother died, she had one quilt that her grandmother had made, and it was the only thing that both my brother and I wanted. It was always in use during our childhood. I let him have it because it was one of the few things that he really wanted. I took all the Pyrex!🤯
That is so sad. My husband and I have a lot of things “too good to use”. I have recently started using them.
My 99 year old grandmother passed away two years ago. She left a huge stack of handmade quilts. Seems that in her fifties she'd make at least one each winter, when she could sit with a hoop on her lap and drape it around her to keep warm. I look behind me and there's one on my bed now. There's always one on my bed. Sometimes I run my hand along the stitches and think about how I miss her presence. My family is from rural Appalachia and there wasn't much that got handed-down from that generation because these people grew up in abject poverty. My grandfather would talk of getting fruit and candy for Christmas. I cherish the ties to their past...especially as it seems to move farther away even faster than ever. Let's all do out part to try and bring each other together. Our nation is in such a sad and shameful place. I'd like to think it's growing pains. There's always been such a strong undercurrent of hate in our history and I hope it'll all give way to a kinder culture. I look forward to the holidays and hope each of you stay safe and share the light in you with those you see every day. :-)
Oh My, how I LOVE your creative mind😊 You NEVER disappoint with your creations, your mind serves ALL of us🤗 Thank You Very Much For ALL That You Do🤗
I’m heading to the top shelves in the garage to retrieve the old black marble clock (doesn’t work) and wooden spools ( big) to start decorating for Christmas!! Love your channel !!
Everything you do turns out so beautiful. I have afghans my Mom made throughout the years in every size from baby to full bed size( in red and white), even the first one she made me when I got married 46 yrs. ago. They are treasured, and my daughters feel the same way about their grandmas afghans. Thanks for sharing. ❤
The dresser looks like a great find and I am glad you let it remain stained wood. 🌻
Hello 👋 how are you doing today???
A pleasant watch, as always. Have a lovely week, all of you.
Sherry these remakes are very lovely, things I would never think of doing. The deer remake is my favorite what a great find!! Thank you for filling my heart with so much beautiful, can't wait until next week.
You are a fantastic woman that knows how to decorate I’m loving every single piece that you made thank you so much for watching and blessings upon you during the holidays
As always, gorgeous!!
Thanks Sheri always love seeing your finds and repurposing!
I used one of your ideas by removing the electric parts from a hanging light to make a lantern. I'm happy with it. Put a pickle jar that I macromade jute twine on it inside the lantern.
I'm tired of painting everything white and loving stained wood too!
You are so creative. I enjoy watching you repurpose items and give them a total new look. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us. A big hug.
You have such a old soul and it touches my heart to watch your creations. You are so calming.
I love the tree skirt, mittens and popcorn bowl scenery.
Oh my goodness Sherry where do I begin!!! They all are my favorite. I have to say the wood round crate with the little house inside is my very favorite. Your so awesome!!!
I enjoyed the video and all the vintage finds and what you created. I liked them all! Thanks, Sheri for sharing
As always another inspiring video. I loved the tinker blocks tree idea and you definitely got your money's worth out of the red throw making the tree skirt and the mittens.
I just couldn't imagine anyone giving away that gorgeous afghan. The colors are beautiful.
I loved each and everything. Thanks again for sharing.
As always, you truly are amazing!! You are the McGiver of crafting.
You are absolutely right about Sarah @ She Holds Dearly. Those of us in her Behind the Scenes design group are truly blessed with her talent and beautiful soul! Your make over of the deer plaque is fabulous! Thank for sharing.
Everything is amazing. My favorite the Tinker toy tree.
You come up with the most amazing idea. I have watched most of your video and absolutely I get inspired all the time. Love u.
The most talented, and the most beautiful lady ever. I really really love you and appreciate each and every single DIY that you make. Thank you so much for sharing all these good things with us. You inspire us a lot. Nobody can ever even come close to your unique style.
Thank you so very much! I checked out your channel and watched your happiness quotes video-very inspiring! My favorite quote was “ The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.” Have you ever read a play called “Our Town”? It has been made into a couple of movies, too. It is about a young woman who dies giving birth to her first child. Once dead, she discovers she can go back relive days from her life. Others who are dead tell her not to do it, but she goes back to her 16th birthday anyway. It is a painful experience for her because she realizes that when she was alive she never noticed or appreciated the beautiful details of daily life. Thanks for that reminder today!
@@CanterburyCottage So nice of you. I have some random videos. Did not take much interest in UA-cam, but now I think I must start doing something about it. You really inspire me so much. No, I haven't read that play/book. But since you told me I will certainly do it now. Finding it on Amazon. Thank you. Sending you lots of love and best wishes 🙂
I just had to add another comment. Sherrie, you are a beautiful lady with a brilliantly creative mind! Thank you for sharing your beauty with us all!
Thank you, Ana! That is so very sweet of you! You made my day! 🥰
@@CanterburyCottage you are so very welcome!
Thank you for another great tutorial. You're right about She Holds Dearly.... exquisite for sure.
🎄⛄🧤those velvet mittens were adorable🎁🎄🧤
Kristina how well said and well spoken! I have watched her for a three months and was in wonder from the first moment! Thank you Sherry for sharing your talent with the world! We all love spirit!
Your everything I love about old rustic and upcycling. I dont have alot of new thinks in my house and if do they like old. My favorite decorating color is rust.
You are amazing! TFS. Love everything you created.
Love the mittens. Your staging is so inspirational. Your imagination must keep you awake at night. I eagerly await your every video.
My husband has his old Tinker Toys! What a fun way to repurpose them! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity! 💗
I think they are somewhat valuable, so if he has a full set, you may not want to mess with them. (I’m guessing your husband would probably agree with that.) However, if they are in a closet somewhere, you might as well use them in a way that you can enjoy them.
Sherry you always amaze me ! I watch your videos asap ! I could go on for days with good comments .. But no need cause everyone below has helped ! Much love blessing your way thank you !
the frame with the white decor/reindeer you painted is absolutely gorgeous. What a difference the white paint made.. I just got so inspired by this winter scene. It is so so beautiful. Also love all the other projects. Thank you, Sheri, I get so excited when I see one of your videos coming up.
Thank you so much! That reindeer piece was a good find! It sold in my booth within a few minutes! 😊
Dear Sheri, you always amaze me. I am not a diyer, but sometimes I try. ALL Of these makeovers today are so very beautiful. Bless your talent, love from Malta
Another wonderful video full of ideas! Thanks.
Wow. That popcorn bowl is amazing!
I shouldn't have watched this until I finish the things I need to do this morning, lol. Now I want to play hooky and do some crafts! Thanks for the inspiration!
Wonderful projects. Very creative use of the Tinker Toys. My favorites are the deer plaque, the candle stand, and the popcorn bowl. The mitten are pretty darn cute too.
Only watched the first project and I LOVE the tinker toy tree!! Now back to the video
Thank you sweetie! I’m coming to see you one day and we are going to that antique mall!!!
This is my favorite kind of video. We might not find the same items that you have, but it helps to train our eyes to see what can be done with what we find.
Hiiii!! Good Morning. You are so peaceful! Thank you for all your creations..Love Tuesdays. You the best!! I love the deer frame!!!
You are such an Inspiration and so Amazing! Tuesday mornings are my favorite day of the week thanks to you Sherry! 😘 I want that deer plaque! haha Now I'm on the hunt to find something similar to make! 🥰
You are so sweet, Gina! That deer plaque sold the day I took it to my booth! It really is amazing how much a little paint can completely change the appearance of thrift store finds!
You have got to be the most creative lady on the planet! Every project I thought “Oh I want that,”. EVERY SINGLE ONE! Thank you so much for making my day. I do have to say my tummy got a little sick when you painted over the chicken picture! And one more thought. I am a sewer, a messy sewer. Yesterday my husband asked me how many miles of thread I thought was left on the floor in one day around the world. I told him most sewers are neater than I am. Then today I could see your floor as you were busy making you projects and is was kinda messy! I LOVE that we can be creative and make messes on the floor!
Thank you, GloriaF! Yes, threads and fuzz from that blanket went everywhere. Oh, well, nothing the vacuum couldn’t fix!😜
Always enjoy your creative ideas! Sarah is amazing too.
Just love the Christmas stand with the Snow Bird. Cardinal looks awesome too ! Great job !!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today???
Kristina Cleveland could not have said it better! Your transformations we’re just beautiful thank you for the inspiration God bless
I love everything!!!! But the lantern stand is brilliant!!!! I love how you transformed it!
Again Sherry amazing!! Everything beautifully done! Love the lantern! ❤️❤️❤️🥰
Every week you amaze me! Can't wait to try some of your ideas!
Good morning, Sherry! What a treasure trove of unique Christmas diys! Your imagination never ceases to amaze. They all turned out beautifully, as always. Can't wait to see you next week! Thank you for inspiring. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
WOW. I did enjoy. Your DIYs are so much more my style. Love thrifting.🎅🎄⛄❄️
Thank you, Sherry, for all the lovely inspiration! The deer plaque was my favorite. I’ve also followed Sarah for several years and appreciate her design aesthetic with thrifted items too.
Thank you for watching and leaving me a comment! I see that you have a channel, too! Going to check you out today!
@@CanterburyCottage thank you! Nothing fancy, I simply enjoy crafting.
So many great ideas but I love the deer. I would have passed over it before. That turned out just beautiful. The card holder is beautiful and functional!!
I love the Tinkertoy tree also. You are so clever and inventive! And when you didnt paint the dresser white, that was me squealing with delight. It was perfect just like it was. I hope you have a wonderful week and cant wait to see what you have made for next week. You never disappoint.
☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️
Congratulations! Your creativity is endless! I really enjoy (and learn) from each video you share... Thanks a lot!
It's always a great morning to wake up to some new ideas and more inspiration from you thank you Sherry
No matter how busy you are, you always find time to find beautiful decors . It makes you more beautiful. Thank you for sharing great videos that inspire us!
Thank you! That is so very sweet of you to say! I watched one of your videos on the knot box. That would make a cute container for a small Christmas tree!
Everything was beautiful.
Loved loved loved the painted deer picture!!
I am amazed with how you transform everything into something beautiful.
I love Tuesdays with Sherry!
I love, love everything you made! So beautiful!❤️ You always have great ideas.
Once again! Love what you came up with! Favorite was the cocoa bar!
Argh I love the deer plaque!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Sherry- you can make such adorable items out of the strangest things! The beaded garland out of a car seat cover really surprised me! I never would have thought about that. I so enjoy your channel! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Debbie! I can tell you are new to my channel because I made several things from that beaded car seat in a previous video (and showed myself cutting them off). Those seat covers contain so many beads-I may die before I use them all!😜
I have to agree, I love the natural wood over painting everything white. Some white is ok, but I think that vintage wood furniture looks much nicer not painted. Love the tree skirts!💖
The tinker toy tree is genius! So nostalgic ♥️
Sherry, I 'am amazed. You are truly the master of all you do. This took me back in time with the feeling I had when I was a child at Christmas. I have my son watching your channel now. Oh yeah! I bought the tool that you use when you are cutting sticks and what not. I hope I can do it justice. Well , time to count the days till Tuesday again:) God Bless, take care. Rebekah.
Good morning, Rebekah! My son came over yesterday for coffee 🥰, and asked what that “horse thing” was. He can’t imagine that children ever enjoyed playing with such a thing!😊 I reminded him that he used to love pushing the Fisher Price popcorn popper toy around!
@@CanterburyCottage Great memories.
Thanks for so many great ideas! I’m amazed at what I have when I look at the potential in things!
I look forward to your channel every Tuesday. You have such wonderful ideas. That tinker toy tree is just adorable. I love the vintage look because it reminds me of my childhood and my grandma. Thank you for sharing your talent.🎄
Love the Tinkertoy tree!!!
OmGosh your lantern with a bird is gorgeous! Yes adding paint to something that's brown an old looking absolutely transforms it!
I look so forward to Tues. morning, I love all of your projects. I am learning so much from you. Thanks again and keep those DIY's coming.
Loved all of those ideas and the Tinker Toys brought me back to childhood 😊 What a great way to use the container & bits of toys. You & Sarah are both inspiring and so sweet. Keep up the good work 👍🏻🇨🇦😃
I loved the Tinker Toy tree. I think have 3 small sets of them in my stash somewhere. I may just dig those out in a few days. Great ideas! Keep 'em comin'!
I so enjoyed this morning’s offerings ❤️❤️❤️. And I loved the red plaid suitcase ? Travel case ?? You featured as a riser for your red and green books. loved that ❤️❤️❤️. So much. I enjoy Sarah’s thrifting videos too. She reminds me of a grown up Punky Brewster 😍
Hello 👋 how are you doing today???
