This visualiser made me tear up. It's like she just went out or went to shower, still alive, living or , we're slipped through time and looking at her bedroom, can see her in any second.
I read Loose Rap was Aaliyah’s first choice for the first single but the label wanted a Timbaland produced song as the first single. I think this is a stronger song than we need a resolution. I think that they should’ve released the singles as followed: 1: Loose Rap (Spring 2001). More Than A Woman (Summer 2001/ July Album release), I Care 4 U (Late Fall 2001), Rock The Boat (Spring 2002) 5. I Can Be (Summer 2002/ Concert Video)
Aaliyah allegedly wanted this to be the first single instead of WNAR but people felt it would be better to lead with a Timbaland track since coming off Try again
@@tykelwilliams6053 actually when Loose Rap was planned to be the lead single, WNAR was not even finished. Virgin Records wanted Timbaland instead as they thought the album didn’t have radio hits. I like WNAR much more but I think Loose Rap would’ve done better on the radio back then.
This is such a single. It would have been a hit for sure. The vibe and tempo would have been very fitting, for putting launch momentum behind the album... 💥
Its the Early 2000s nostalgia for me! Bringing back so many memories with the Nokia phone with Snake; simpler times! 🥲 Also, 90s babies get that physical CD copy! It’s time to get back into collecting classics beyond streaming.
I’m getting the vinyls (OG & Special Editions) and all the box sets. Mr. Hankerson could easily snatch all of this back faster than he gave it to us at any point. He won’t catch me slippin this time. 💅🏾

Loose Rap will forever be my favorite song on the album. I’ve always loved this song. It’s so smooth, real, and authentic. Aaliyah was letting them haters know. She was like, “I see y’all. Y’all ain’t stopping nothing over here. Get yourselves together.”
OMG I used to blast and sing this fucking album every damn day on my grandmas karaoke machine when I was a kid! Bout time the younger generation got to know our Baby Girl! AALIYAH IS HERE🖤🖤🖤🖤
23 years later this song has finally grown on me enough to to listen to it in its full length. And my goodness the producers did a magnificent job created this beat from start to finish. And Aaliyah’s soft low singing voice singing is just the icing on the cake.
I loved this song since I first heard on Aaliyah self titled album, still love it all these years later and now I'm an adult I absolutely get Aaliyahs words in this song now,R.I.P Aaliyah and Static,2 legends back together again 😢

I do think his touch is nice because he’s apart of the industry. This is something that someone within the industry would’ve put their touch on to make it cute and creative in this manner but he needs to cut the check. At this point is anyone benefiting aside from Barry because last I checked Missy and Tim said they weren’t?
We've waited how many years for this and he finally does it just to promote his label and the new girl who he advertises as an Aaliyah wannabe, meanwhile Aaliyah's family has been trying at it for years and now they get zero credit or profit for this. Same with what he did to Jojo. I'm sorry but Barry is a greedy excuse of a man
This was one of my favorite songs from self titled. Underrated jam. Static put his foot in this album. And the visualizer is so cute. Gimme all the early ‘00s throwback feels.
This is my first time listening to this song, and like her other songs, I love it! Happy 44th Birthday to you, Aaliyah! I love you always and forever, Baby Girl. ❤️🥳🎉🕊️🕊️ 01/16/2023
