I know what you mean. I was her age when she died . We’re 10 months apart in age . She’s born in January 1979 I’m November 1979 so this I’ll littterally never get over
Even with all of the controversies between her Uncle Barry with Blackground 2.0 and her family’s estate, her music NEEDED to be released. Aaliyah was UNDER and signed with Blackground when she was alive and she still was their artist after she passed. She literally DIED for her music and her music was her everything. Her music DESERVED to be released to set Aaliyah finally free and to finally Rest In Peace. She can now go back and finally rest knowing her art is available all over the world for all her fans. Whoever it’s benefiting or getting the money is something I’m not as concerned about rather than Aaliyah’s legacy and music being available as a result of the dedication to it she literally gave her life for. Love you always, Aaliyah. You’ll never be forgotten ❤️
Definitely agree we needed her music, everybody should know Aaliyahs music and name,we miss you Baby Girl and she deserves all the recognition, don't think Aaliyah would agree with her family being at war over her legacy though
This visual is so pretty. Also 1 year ago on tomorrow I left a man who hit me and he now tries to get me to take me back. I won't be taking him back cause I REFUSE to go through that again. I will be listening to this song over and over to make sure I don't go back. Thanks for the song baby girl . I owe you for this one . Rest In Peace. Love you forever.
The piano and her voice 😩💝 Never settle for less people. Refuse anything other than what's right and true! No matter how much you love, it's gotta be healthy and peaceful! Stay happy, healthy and harmonious forever and aim for the stars 💫 💖
The pain in her voice is so real . She know exactly how to execute a song. Man!!!!!, Why they did that to her like that. She had so much more to give. 😢
You know what’s crazy when this happens to most people that were SA victims they come out psychologically damaged but she didn’t let that stop her from being great she was a real queen.
Y’all my daughter is 7 and she said this is her favorite song because it sounds like a princess…Aaliyah gaining new fans and I love it she deserves it thanks uncle Barry for releasing her music and creating these visuals cause Diane and Rashad was on trash 🕊
Just watching these visualizers while listening to Aaliyah vocals make me feel closer to her. It’s hard to explain it, but it’s a feeling. She was truly One In A Million💎.
They really don't make songs like this anymore. I bet so many women or men left toxic relationships just because of how well this story was told. Giving inspiration and courage. I refuse!! 💪🏽🙌🏽✨❤️
This is now my favorite song, I was not born when Aaliyah passed away but I recently discovered a lot more of her music(my mom loved Aaliyah and still plays her music)
If Blackground ever got the funding...I would love some anime music videos for the Aaliyah album. I imagine this video like the visual...Aaliyah as a princess in a castle, horse galloping in a storm upto the castle, somewhere in Europe, rainy grey atmosphere... Aaliyah looking like Rapunzel or some tudor queen xox
Wow! This takes me bacc in time. I remember wen I first received this CD as a birthday gift wen I turned 12, and how I played it every day front to bacc.... bacc to front. Learned every word and sang along matching her harmonies. It's almost crazy that I still remember every lyric. This was always one of my favorite traccs on the album. The theatrical approach. The piano, the rain, the horse galloping and the climax. It was really a thriller. It tooc u thru those motions. These visuals are a great touch too, wen at one point all we had was the music. Thank u all for bringing Aaliyah bacc to life /.\🕊️
This is beautiful.. this to me is a 19-century like vision. It’s sad that she couldn’t do a music video of this dramatically sad, but amazing song. It would set place there’s a rainstorm with Aaliyah as a princess crying in this mansion because her man left her and there we see Static on the orchestra and Timbaland on the piano, and it would be Aaliyah recapping to us about the memories she and her man had, and it would end with Aaliyah, along with Static and Timba walking out of the mansion and Static burning the mansion, signaling that Aaliyah’s now a free woman
THE WAY THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IMAGINED FOR I REFUSE!!! The MV would’ve started with a carriage leaving at night in the rain then we find Aaliyah in an abandoned mansion with a Greek god-like beige dress with a corset crying that her mans left her, then the rest of the MV would’ve been her reminiscing the times she was with her mans & deciding to let go of him and the memories she had with him, burns down the mansion and leaves walking in a big field with a white dress meaning that she is finally a free woman
I my idea is similar. it would be set in a massive castle in a freak storm, no electricity all candle light. and she's a royal princess. her demeanour would be very princess diana-like. gorgeous and gracefully but timid and fragile until finds her strength to escape the turmoil of a loveless marriage. tearing off her elaborate evening gown and escaping into the storm on a white horse in the end. Static would've been in the video as the pianist or the piano keys would be seen moving but no one is at the piano. (as if its a ghost thats playing)
@@kylekingofdaworld ooh a mix of both of our ideas seems AMAZING but no matter what she would’ve done the MV would’ve been top notch! Also forgot to mention my idea of her MV would’ve been set in a 19th century Victorian era-like
Haha! Same. Except my vision was extremely gothic, vampiric almost. And with a dope Fatima choreographed waltz dance break like how she did for Dr. Dre’s Been There Done That video.
Call me crazy but somehow the end of this song always gives me sun comes out, rain clouds disappear, birds are singing and all is well. Aaliyah is one of one. A legend, and forever favourite.
Huh they deleted the previous upload🤷🏽♀️ But I like this visualizer too. This song is dope with the piano the electric guitar the horse galloping at the beginning and it’s climatic peak! They snapped on this one!
Yes I should’ve corrected that, we all were commenting on hoping they put a visualizer up as it was just the album cover art as butterflyeffect456 pointed out but I wasn’t expecting a new upload since a few of us had already commented on it along with the rest of the album last night/this morning.
I just seen that new anime promo🤩🤩🤩🤩 it was everything! The emotions, the ending! I agree I hope because they didn’t include “Messed up” on this /.\lbum, since they’re putting it on ultimate Aaliyah, they’ll continue with these stellar visuals/promos etc etc
OMG this is beautiful! Beautifully sung, beautifully composed and just completely lovely. The visualization is beautiful too very royal, very princess-like as Aaliyah was and still is. I could only imagine what this would've sounded like live or if a video was actually made for it. Keep resting peacefully Princess Aaliyah 🕊🕊🕊💖💖
What’s really messed up is how a 16 year old girl could express and experience this much pain when it comes to being in love. She never got to experience a true love before she died, because R. Kelly spent so much time abusing her and keeping the wool over her eyes.
picturing the music video in my head. a dark 18th century aristocratic theme to go with the operatic vibes of the song. a scene with her running down a long hall in a long dress in slow motion at the “no no no” part but cutting back to closeups of her face singing parts too
" it was your way it or it was no way ay ay ayeeee and couldnt live that way, nooooo nooo ah a ooooh" ❤❤❤❤.Definitely hit if you done been thru some bs in a relationship.
I could see an amazing video for this song. The setting is in the 17th century, there’s a war happening that her love interest is involved in and Aaliyah tried to tell him to stay but he refuses and leaves. Aaliyah sings her heart out in their home which is a castle. The film cuts from the war to Aaliyah singing. Towards the end of the video, Aaliyah runs out of the castle to find her lover while it’s pouring rain. Her love becomes injured from a bullet and Aaliyah finds him and hold him while he’s dying on the floor.
