Great video, I’m pleased to hear you are a happy customer! Hideout leather really educated me about how motorcycle clothing should fit you. You will actually be very lucky to get a suit that is a good fit straight off the shelf and the problem is there aren’t many people in bike shops who will give you honest and best advice. I look forward to seeing you whizzing around in your gear during the season! 😊👊
Hey, welcome to the channel! I think its almost impossible to find gear that fits you perfectly. If you can afford it, made to measure gear or alterations to gear really improves your motorcycling experience
Over the decades, Hideout have earned themselves a good reputation in this neck o' the woods. When I bought my armored jeans there, they adjusted them while I waited. Your results look great.
I have a pair of armoured jeans that are way too big around the waist. I've sewn elastic in for now but might see if they can do a proper alteration to them
Given my slight case of PTSD with water, it's great to see you fly through that pool of water😂 my heart went up a a beat, I do recall those experiences which actually make me smile now!
I bought a couple of jackets from Hideout when their shop was in Mill Road, Cambridge in the early 80’s. Your video has inspired me to take a ride over to Saffron Walden to look at the current shop. Although a lot to lay out you’ve effectively got made to measure trousers for a lot less than a new pair. Smart move and they look great.
Theres 2 major companies that do this here, BKS made-to-measure and Hideout leather. Very expensive, but it's the best of the best in bike kit. They both supply the police forces here
Glad all sorted. I have a pair of RST Sabre leather trousers/jeans. I used to be a 36' waist....mine are a 28" waist but still a bit big on me. Not sure if I would spend high amount unless having a high end one piece race suit tailored to fit. Thanks for content & sharing
@@ayserides Yes agreed. If buying off the peg best to try a few different products that meet spec & style requirements. I am not exactly stick man or a racing jockey...I am proportionate for my height & frame. A well known "initial named" store was not best for me...a bit of a mixed bag of quality & choice.
As always a great video but does sound pricey for the alterations. I had my leathers altered when I lost some weight and like yours they were done to small I would advise don’t settle and if your not happy go back and say they have altered them to small. I found mine so restrictive that they became unwearable and I ended up buying something else. Good luck hope they work for you
Nice video. I enjoyed the ride. Took the same route there last weekend to pick up my leather jacket. I can now zip it up with the chest protector which is good. Makes me look a bit broader in the shoulders so I'll be rocking some 80s shoulder pad looks come spring 😝
As a short guy rider I always struggle to find trousers in my size. So this video was super helpful- thanks!
Turned out well. Good advert for hideout aswell. I hope they see this 👍
I'm really happy with them!
Thanks for all your vids and great info. I completed my CBT this week and am getting a CB125F in a few weeks.
Congrats! That's a great choice for a first bike :)

I dont know why I didn't slow down more 😂I think I thought it was a shallow puddle oops
It was very impressive from where I was. Biggest wave the area has ever seen.
I did get the jet ski mod on my bike from the factory. Knew it would come in handy

Exactly, they're pretty much perfect now. Thanks for watching!
That's a job well done! Those look fab. :o
Indeed!
Wow that looks awesome! They look definitely good on you!...excellent work, well worth the money!
I think so too. Not cheap, but it's not a cheap job either :)
I love how the UK still has trades like that as common businesses. We're sadly lacking those here in the US.

The sizing on this stuff does seem a bit strange doesn't it

Mine thankfully have broken in a bit now so they're much more comfy
@@ayserides fantastic news🥳 happy riding and thanks again for the content.
BTW, you failed to capture my photogenic side...
I thought that was all the sides :p
@@ayserides or none! 😂
Sounds pricy but they look better thumbs up
They certainly do!
