Hey! sorry that i write a comment fouryears later, but do you think that the build was worth it? because im looking forward in making one too.Do you think that i should stay in 48v for starter or go higher?
Yes they are hydraulic e-bike brakes that I when I bought the kit they did come with them. They do come with the motor cut out sensor feature, however as I know that this would br ineffective for the purposes of doing wheelies I never plugged the sensor wires into the motor and left them disconnected
I have a custom built E-Bike at home aswel that needs to be assembled. The power is close to yours, it’s a 1000W, 48V powerhouse so I am told. Mine is also in red in a expensive coat of canned paint, (I gave it the good stuff) but she needs a battery pack which I am lacking the pocket money for. It’s a very light and simple bike but when she is done she won’t have any brakes 😂 so I also need to get that in order aswel.
You just ride the brakes or what ? On my aventon level I have a rear brake sensor so motor shuts off when I hit brakes thankfully aventon made it so they unplug right there I go through pads big time once a week
So could I do this with a 20inch 1500watt kit for BMX bike 🚲 and 48v 20ah battery lol 😂sounds crazy but I'm wondering how fast it would go and also if they make back racks for BMX bikes like they do mountain bikes
I just fitted a Violamart 48v 1500w rear hub kit to my 26inch Giant Mountain bike. It has Hayes Hydraulis brakes, but when I try wheeling it 9 times out of 10 I flip it and that is with covering the bake brake. I have not connected the blue reduction wire which limits it to 750w. I find there is a bit of a lag in the throttle and then the power comes on way too quick. You say yours is programmed for efficiency have you limited yours to 750w or are those. wheelies at the full 1500w Nice work on the wheelies, impressive.
Hi, sounds good yeah mine is 1500w I’m using the full power the motor gives me in which being the full 1500w. YES DEFINITELY there is lag with majority of e-bike controllers and at least 25% of the begging throttle doesn’t respond what I recommend is going at a slow or moderate speed first with peddling and then lift the bike up and use a bit more throttle. Do not keep closing and opening the throttle as the controller doesn’t respond well to this and it’s not a motorbike so keep the throttle at one point this should help as this is how I wheelie. Subscribe and stay tuned as I’m going to be making an E-bike wheelie tutorial real soon. Thank you.
