To answer your question no the teleport room was not in the original. You had to walk all the way back to all those locations just to find General White and realize he’s not there.
Well there were shortcut pipes, but not to all the locations covered in the remake room, there wasn’t a shortcut to them from the surface so you had to fight Bowser’s sewer army, and you had to go to the surface to go to glitzville since it didn’t have a pipe, so it wasn’t the worst but still a chore
@@Tanner-Barlow Only in the remake though. In the original game Hammer Throw did benefit from normal hammer upgrades (but didn't pierce defense). It was an odd decision to change it for this game...
When Casey went "You avert your eyes back to the part of the Internet that's pure and innocent," I just sort of held my breath waiting for the follow-up. They did not disappoint. This video brought to you by: this mystic egg. I said it last time, but I really feel like people blow the whole General White chase out of proportion. It doesn't take that excessively long even with the more limited warping in the original, at least when you're not stopping to talk and search every room for treasures. Plus it's fun revisiting all the old places in preparation for the coming big event of finally reaching the X-Naut base.
Time for quite the long journey! (Bless this remake for streamlining it) Please do those extra episodes of Shadow Generations and Astro Bot in the near future! Also, after God of War, you guys should play other Playstation IPs like the recent Ratchet & Clank games, Infamous Second Son and First Light, or even other major releases like Metaphor ReFantazio. More Sonic games would also be very welcomed.
Day 206 of reminding everyone Ian drank Casey’s Nesquik. Guys it’s okay if you spend a handful of episodes just doing nothing. The banter is what your fans are here for. I feel like that’s partially why The Sims worked so well for your channel, not only is it so personable but also there’s no real main story. You can just be goofy.
...Quake Hammer does do more damage with the Power Plus badge. Power Plus *P* doesn't affect it, because of the "P" in it, means that it affects *partners* only.
Yeahhhhh I'm ready for the podcast Also, I'm glad that adorable little whacka fella is still doin fine. I sure would sob and weep and shit myself to death and cry if anything ever happened to them;
yo, i just realized upon goldbob saying it... gonzales... is like SPEEDY gonzales... like, they have the same name, great gonzales and speedy gonzales. whoa...
8:25 I had like 3k coins here and went to spend them all before giving them to him because I didnt want to lose it all... to bad I didnt know I would get them back if I gave it to him
Yeah, this is easily the worst part of the game. And it was even WORSE in the OG. Really, this is technically kind of a 'Last Chance to Visit Everywhere and Clear Sidequests Before The Endgame' sorta thing, but it's still suuuuuuper annoying.
I thought for sure Ian remembered this because of how he acted about General White before but the way he talked during this episode makes me question that. Since you were near him I want to remind you to whacka that Whacka. (I will be annoying as I have to be until Ian does it.) I think that is the one instance where hammer throw is useful. It's still weird that in a game where you can make such broken strategies they made a badge that has maybe 2 extremely niche situations in which it's useful. (Even then it's still not great at it either.) At least badges like Spike Shield or Ice Power basically invalidate their niche enemies.

2:25 You've got it backwards: the Quake Hammer ability *is affected by Power Plus/etc.* but is *not affected by your upgraded Hammer(s).*
This is also how Hammer Throw works too.

This channel is a podcast in disguise and that's why I love it.

I'm very glad this game added the pipe room. It's an acceptable band-aid, like the pipe at Creepy Steeple.
Are you planning to play Super Paper Mario?
As a Cheez-It eater, can confirm. Additionally, if your hair is the same colors as the
Cheez-Its your power is doubled

3:30 could not have been timed better on purpose
there's a lot of enemies that laugh at you if youre hit with a stage hazard actually
So that a no on astro bot champion road? Too bad, they even got a chrismast update with a fun map.
It's certainly not a no! But as that's a follow up episode it's taken slightly lower priority than ongoing series. It'll happen!
I guess we’re talking about furry porn now😅

Huh, that's odd; we skipped from epsisode 46 to episode 48, with absolutely nothing in-between...
