🇰🇬 Greetings from Kyrgyzstan where I decided to check out the famous lake Issyk-Kul. However I found more than I expected whilst searching an abandoned building in the town of Balykchy...Oh and warning: I say the word Soviet quite a lot too!
Been holding poo in on bus all day, find a nice quiet abandoned building to release yourself after all this time. In walks a bald english man and puts you on the Internet. Life is hard.

My bladder was acting up. luckily there was no one for miles. i crept inside the most rundown, dark, remote building i could find. in the far end of the half abandoned city. i had not seen a soul for an eternity, and felt safe in my loneliness. when my body at last let the rumble begin and the flood came crashing down.. a tall bald englishman took a long step right up beside me and then jumped high into the air gasping something unintelligible. he swayed back and forth while proclaiming how he expected no one to be in the building, and after a while he left just as sudden as he had came into my world. and from this i want you to know to know that englishmen are kind of like the spanish inquisition... nobody expects them, and they appear suddenly out of thin air making kind of a ruckus before they just vanish into nothingness.

One he seduced them into believing that the USSR was going to make the future great. Communism is new and unknown to most people. So people fell for it.
And Two he used brute force wherever necessary. What do you think? The Russians would have given up so much territory just because the Tsar ceased to exist? I don't think so. The republics had to join otherwise face a bloody war.

I’m a twin and my mom thought it’d be a good idea to dress us in matching outfits for school picture day in 5th grade. We on the other hand didn’t find it to be a good idea so we prepared I packed a different shirt in my backpack and changed into it immediately after getting dropped off at school lol. Pictures got taken and we weren’t wearing the same outfit and then right after I got out of class I went into bathroom and put the matching shirt back on and we hopped in our moms van and she said “ aww I bet your pictures look great! Can’t wait to see them, they get sent out to parents in a couple weeks right?” We both looked at each other and were thinking “ oh shit! she’s going to be pissed” she was pissed at first when she saw the picture two weeks later, but then said “You know.... I live in Israel, my parents came from Ukraine, so the soviet roots are indeed not explored yet.
I was in a rough phase in my life financly, my GOAL in life is to recover from it and travel with friends at the Soviet Union (ex).
We all heard stories from our parents, because of the bald dude we came to understanding our parents, the struggle and the culture! I used to be ashamed of the soviet part, you my bald dude helped me so much with unsolving my demons and true desires.
