Man after doing this I had to do the same due to #4 still throwing the same codes. New cam, lifters, heads sent to the machine shop, etc 6k down. I get the car back tomorrow.
So I got a misfire on cylinder 3 but AutoZone said I need to replace the lifter I think I’ll get a tuneup first so did your check engine light come on when you had a misfire?
After I did my tune up, every misfire went away expect for #4. My situation ended up being worst case scenario where the entire top half of the motor got rebuilt. Multiple bad lifters, cam was damaged, bad compression, etc. 6k plus later 🤦🏿♂️
Lot of people don't understand take care of your vehicle it will take care of you
