A good way to accomplish this is to listen to Steve Gadd until your ears bleed. Its important that your ears begin to bleed because that's how his commitment to groove and pocket will enter your bloodstream and merge with your dna. Once you absorb his musical soul and his molecular pocket proteins chemically bond with your own genetic proteins, you'll be able to find your way back to the pocket in any song. In fact you won't even have to find your way back because you will have never left in the first place.
Because of that same Sound this is the 79th time I am watching this video, I came to the comment section to see if I was the only one that heard that. You heard that too?? Good!!
I love this man alot he makes the drums look like another episode of an awesome anime series 😎😎😎. Thanks Zach I really love how you express yourself and how you sneak in some Wonderful information into every leason
Zack coming into the scene looking fresh with a soft-spoken sexy tone in his voice. Hope the new house/area is treating you guys well. The place/room is coming together really nice
Me and my friends found a way to avoid this in school concerts. We didn’t actually do any songs, we just jammed for like 30 mins and changed up the genre every now and then. Show planners despised us for getting lost in the sauce😂
I too get lost in the sauce, and marinate in it LOL I try my best to save those moments for the Improve jams when my band warms up for practice, but every now and then when I'm really feelin it, tha sauce seeps into the song. Zesty accents and fills haha. Keep it up, I'm diggin the beats, specially with the sax! Much love from a fellow skin slapper in Texas,USA ✌️🥰
my old teacher used to say " I like desert but not after every meal" chops are nice when you know when to add them but add to much and song becomes a drum solo .
Yeah I was playing at this wedding gig and as an encore we played "Jump" and we really butchered the guitar solo part. Okay, we did okay and since it went better than expected, my thoughts lagged in that success and I eventually lost my count in the keyboard solo. But once we got to the bridge/chorus, I started doing just this. Playing the 8-beat and our singer just went on with it and started to hype people up and all the other players just joined in. It fit perfectly. It was glorious.
I remember playing songs live for the hundredth time outta nowhere think “oh shit is this the 1st or second verse?” or “wait did we decide for sure to shorten this part to 2 bars?” and the worst “Hi I’m supposed to start this next song and I can’t remember how it goes…. at all”
“If a man does not have sauce, then he is lost. But the same man can get lost in the sauce.” - Mr Mane
it's a fine line
So a man can lose the sauce, and get lost in the sauce.
Yo shit low key this kinda deep though
I respect you
Or lost in chopsss
When my band director tells me to just play pocket
Me: gets too excited
The other drummer in my class: Good
😊😊8😊ㅑ

Homie are you ok?
@@BookdashUA-cam I have completed the Gadd Blood Ritual. So yes, I am more than ok. My soul is surrounded by the pocket.
@@moonlitegram Ah ok I gotchu
I'm going o try it. Can't hurt right?
As a professional wedding drummer the best tip a pro university and orchestra trained musician violinist told me was to stop playing all together lol
🤣😂
Damn that "smack" sound with the snare and cymbal sounds 👌 woooo
Because of that same Sound this is the 79th time I am watching this video, I came to the comment section to see if I was the only one that heard that. You heard that too?? Good!!
pretty sure you mean the clap stack
Thanks Zach needed this today tbh
The king of perfectly cut screams 😂
Man says no, hits the next beat perfectly after. That's some confidence right there.
😂that's where I got lost in the sauce... didn't listen to the rest of it lol😅
So true this is coming from a death core drummer btw
That production quality level up though
duuuude yes. sometimes I forget how to play all together! playing that straight beat is a life saver
We need a snare sound tutorial, NOW
That’s work until you zone out for a time signature change 😂😂
Bro’s hair is majestic
The most accurate words ever, unfortunately as a beginner you tend to just want to hit everything instead of pocket
This new setup lookin NIICEE
Your snare sounds amazing.
Superior drummer 2.0 has the same sound
That pause when he yelled "no" was perfect 🤌👌
I love this man alot he makes the drums look like another episode of an awesome anime series 😎😎😎. Thanks Zach I really love how you express yourself and how you sneak in some Wonderful information into every leason
bro that stack and rim shot combo sounds soo clean though, and his groove face :D
Nice video I might question your barber though
"lost in the sauce" 🤣 love that!
Duuude!!! You dint got lost at all!!! You were right with your emotions
Zack coming into the scene looking fresh with a soft-spoken sexy tone in his voice.

lost in the sauce is going into the book of wisdom.
Your pocket is insane 😮 that snare is cracking for sure
Bro is goddamn majestic
I can't stop playing this short.
Love what you do with that snare and hit-hat. What fill is that??
Please give us a link to download the full song
If i get lost I'll usually wait for a fill to come up or just add one in myself to get back in the groove
I Love this 😂😂😂 the immediate “just play pocket “ transition
nah bro appreciated it way too much at the end💀
drippy cut, drippy groove
Absolutely love this
Lmao, love your humor man 😂❤

So nice sounding 👌 😍 👏 ☺️ 😊
Bruh that Clap Stack though... **chefs kiss**
You play so well dude
The fact that the “NO!!🤬” was in time… and then they continued exactly on the beat…
I too get lost in the sauce, and marinate in it LOL I try my best to save those moments for the Improve jams when my band warms up for practice, but every now and then when I'm really feelin it, tha sauce seeps into the song. “I don’t know”
Continues soloing
Every Gospel Chops song ever overkilled. 😝
When in doubt, roll.
Always serve the song
my old teacher used to say " I like desert but not after every meal" chops are nice when you know when to add them but add to much and song becomes a drum solo .
Man's got the fresh cut
"JUST PLAY POCKET" LOL 😂
This silence in between can be the sauce ✨
In other words, don't get carried away.
Good thing for me is I don't have any formal training in drums! I just play pocket all the time so I never get lost.

Dude his kit sounds amazing never forget when he was only at like 80k subs

You and your brother should listen to Shrezzers, they’re a groovy metal band with a beast of a sax player
They’re pretty saxxy ngl 💦🎷
Onde posso ouvir? Qual o nome do grupo ? Você tem álbum?
I remember playing songs live for the hundredth time outta nowhere think “oh shit is this the 1st or second verse?” or “wait did we decide for sure to shorten this part to 2 bars?” and the worst “Hi I’m supposed to start this next song and I can’t remember how it goes…. at all”
Or, you give them a commanding glare, and tell them “I am the captain now.”
Time and place!
The problem is when there are some forced stops where everybody has to stop ahah
haha yall are hilarious
I subscribed bc of the funny face He did at the end
Can’t let a mundane thing like music get in the way of chops!
Well dame i have to go old school 😂😂😂
The ending tho
That cut at the end lol. You guys are about to get aggressive on top of that set?
I'll play the pocket but like add a LITTLE spice to it😂😂
I like the haircut Zach ♥️
I really like you Mr Grooves
You should make a video about restraint. I'd assume restraint is hard for you on the drums.
golden rule: less is more
You just got thanked by your brother
How do you make a crash cymbal sound like that
I loose the form of playing drums sometimes 😅
