Based on my past experience during my construction of house , Tamilians demand higher salary and they are not finishing the job on time as per the committed timelines . This create a huge disappointment to hire Tamil labour and become a advantage for North Indians have been hired for labour job.
This happened in Srilanka first The whole island belongs to Tamils(NAGAS) then Vaddakans from Vanga(West Bengal) came and married Pandyan women and became the majority ethnic group known as the sinhalese.

When places like pumpuhar in TN was bieng submerged by water many tamil speaking fishermen nagas migrated to Ceylon becoming the thimilar/karaiyar caste of Sri-lankan tamils. Due to close proximity to TN they still retained heavy south indian culture. The Northern part and Eastern part of Srilanka is inhabited by Sri-lankan tamils native tamils of the island. They sinhalese are vaddakans who married indian tamil(pandyan) women. Later cholas invaded Jaffna and vellalars became dominant. In 18th century indian tamil dalits migrated to the island to work in tea plantations. They are the only recent arrivals to Sri-lanka but they are still Tamils so they are opressed by sinhalese also. A sad fact is that when malayaga tamils went to killinochi they were discriminated by Vellalar Tamils as well. Its a shame.

Now the issue is if someone is in the US, and is heckled there, we shout out at racism but what we are doing here in our own country is despicable. This kind of xenophobia and 'saving Tamil Nadu from Vangalams ' is something I can't stomach. I have no problem learning Tamil. In fact I already do. I used to think bad about people from other state living in tamilnadu. I will think why didn't they learn tamil. But when I came to Bangalore i learnt it's very hard to learn a new language. If you don't know kanada it will be very very difficult.

Tamilians have stepped ahead in their vision . Most are making their children graduates and want to see their children as office goers only and not as daily labours . This has paved way for many outsiders here in Tamilnadu.Uneducated tamils are very much reduced . Also Tamilians are not cheap labours .
Same with telugu people.
DO u think that u can survive without these poor labours . They make ur buildings ,roads ,fix pipelines , fix electric poles ,etc. They are everywhere ,do u think u can live . Just because they are less educated and aren't rich then there is no respect for them ?

This happened to me as well ! A year back on a Sunday morning i was having b'fast at a roadside Kaiyenthi Bhavan @ Porur, Chennai area. Behind to the roadside wall i saw some 10 to 12 North Indian young boys getting dressed well like Bollywood stars, I believe they are planning to go out to movie or somewhere due to holiday ! They all was staying in a small very old house and going to Daily Cooli Wages in Warehouse (as they said to me).
The Point is, the condition of house they stayed looks almost about to Collapse anytime ! I don't know how it keep survived in rains !! It looks like was not used for a generation !!! There were many cracks on walls, misshaped roof top, rusted iron made bed, compacted room size, only two or three electric pulps i could see, there were many demolished building parts all around the place and the toilet.. ooff can't image, too small with no lights..!
Then i called one of them and asked why are you staying in such worst condition place and asked do they need any help for a better place ! He said "their company given this accommodation as temporary only and they will move to the new building (actually that too tiny only) once the construction is over !" Since he said so, stopped asking questions !
Vadakans coming to TN is dangerous to the both side... TN will become a "Cheap Labour Godown" and Vadakans will not get the time to raise their voice against the Cooli Raise in their hometown !!

What I don’t understand is why Tamil people talk to these North Indians in Hindi? Tamil people should talk in Tamil with North Indians. Tamil people have no shame. If you go to any country, you have to talk in that country’s local languages. Only in Tamil Nadu, Tamil people talk in Hindi with these North Indians.
