I would like to say THANK YOU to the Statler Wives for sharing your husbands with us for so many enjoyable years. The music business is full of sacrifices and I for one, want to recognize your contribution.
These guys was a big part of my life. Growing up in the 80s. My mom and dad would watch their show on TV. And also the heehaw show. I'd sit right there and watch the shows with them. My parents was great. They raised me right.
He is always my #1. Loved that heart grabbing, beautiful, deep voice and his wonderful, impish sense of humor! The greatest thing about him, he was a Godly man, he loved The Lord. My sympathies and thanks to his family and friends, for sharing him with us. He's singing in Heaven, halleulujah!
They were a big part of my youth. I was a kid when Flowers on the Wall was released. I have never been able to get enough of their music. Really gonna miss Harold Reid.
I saw the Statler Brothers in concert, in Santa Barbara, back in 1977. THE BEST concert, I'd EVER SEEN. Harold, Don, Phil, and Lew. My heart is 💔, because a fabulous harmony, will be no more. I LOVE and miss you guys, you made growing up fun.
Harold was my favorite! I loved them all, but, Harold was tops (IMO)! I remember him being "Roadhog"! I don't think they ever sang a bad song! All their music was the kind you could listen to over and over again! Rest in Peace Harold! I got to actually "see" Phil! My son and I were heading back to the house from a doctor's appointment and The Statler Brothers bus passed us on I-75, heading south of Atlanta! Phil leaned out one of the front windows and waved! It just thrilled me to death to see my favorites! I still listen to their songs and will probably always will!
R I P Mr.Reid, the Statler Brothers stand at the top of country music, wow so many beautiful songs, it has been a true honor to hear your music and those beautiful voices over the past 60 years. God bless all of you your music Will live on forever🌹🌹🌹♥️♥️
How touching. I loved this video. I’d love to see their museum. They were my #1 favorite group then the #2 & #3 favorites were/are the Oak Ridge Boys & Alabama. I’m glad they never lost their country and gospel roots. Rest In Peace Harold Reid & Lew Dewitt
Sadly, the museum is no longer open. There was an exhibit at the Woodrow Wilson museum last year in Staunton, Va. I was able to capture some footage of it. You can find it under my popular videos. Thanks for watching!

What a lovely video,,, very touching! I loved watching them on television and listen to their CDs often. RIP, Harold, you were one awesome man , singer & entertainer ! Now you and Lew can sing together again!
I’m greatly saddened by the passing of Harold Reid. He was and always will be remembered as a man that loved his work and gave everything he had in each performance. I always had hopes of a reunion performance of sorts by the group even if only for a single performance. Unfortunately those hopes are as shattered as the hearts of his family on and off the stage. He will be missed, so long Road-Hog Moran! R.I.P.

I'm 39. Growing up, my grandparents loved the Statler Brothers. I inherited that same love for them. Very grateful 🙏 their music will always be close to heart.
The Statler Brothers take me back to my childhood and I'm a young boy growing up in a better sweeper time. I can almost follow the light of home back home.
Many thanks for this post. I spent a couple weeks in Staunton about 30 years ago. Will always have great memories of seeing the group in person a few times ! RIP, Harold and Lew !
God bless and keep you 🙏 Harold thanks for the wonderful memories and music 🙏💔😢 will NEVER forget you... Say hello to Lew and I hope you will shake my hand if I'm lucky enough to get to Heaven...

I'm sorry of the passing of Harold Reid. I like the statler brothers a d enjoyed their music. I have a christmas CD that Johnny Cash did years ago that included the Statler Brothers. It had a lot of dialogue between the artist concerning what was like for them while growing up in the south. Harold Reid talked about an uncle he had who came into the house filled with the spirit and knocked down the christmas tree! The recording is one of my favorite holiday recordings. Some of my friends thinks it hokey but i dont. Also, the Statlers sing another Christmas song that goes I'll never spend a Christmas when I dont think of you. I like that song very much. If by chance anyone of Harold's family or friends should read what I have written I hope it brings you comfort during this time of sadness
Back in the 80s I was visiting Staunton and some guy dropped me at Don's house. There was a small town newspaper in the driveway. I wanted the address label for my scrapbook. Instead of just taking it, I walked down the hill to the 711, bought a copy of the paper, walked back to the house and swapped copies. I got a souvenir and made things right at the same time!
