Brother I am so glad it’s not just me. I have a 2019 Camry XSE. I bought it brand new and I am catching up with you at 226k. I am not a Uber or Lyft driver, however I do travel a lot and basically drive it wherever I go. She is my daily driver and I drive an hour and 7 minutes to work everyday one way. I have gotten 44 miles a gallon on the hwy in normal mode and as high as 51 mpg on the hwy in eco mode. I won’t trade it. Toyota continues to ask me. Just like you I replace tires more than anything. I’ve only replaced one hub bearing on the driver front. I did my brakes at 208k. My original set at that. I didn’t need rotors just pads. I’ve done oil changes, trans flushes, coolant flushes, 2 tune ups, and two serpentine belts……. THAT’S ALL I miss and rode thru a light flood which killed my battery. I replaced the battery but no rebuild on the engine/trans, I still have my original radiator, water pump, thermostat, and alternator. I RECOMMEND THIS CAR FULLY
My 2006 Toyota solara has 212k and it’s still running strong, I just stay on top of regular maintenance. I will get a new Camry once the prices come down cause it’s ridiculous at the moment
Nice video man, I just hit 60,000 on my 2020 SE, glad to see you have relatively minimal problems with the high mileage. Would love to see more videos about the car!
Bought a certified 2017 SE with 66k miles this past summer. Thing rides like it's off the showroom floor. Here I thought my Camry had a lot of miles for the year but this is great to see how well yours is doing! Once you buy a Camry, you just don't want to drive anything else really.
My mom had a Camry she serviced that thing rigorously. Once it hit 190k it started burning oil. On the other hand my dads corolla hit 241 with zero problems whatsoever
Truth! I traded in a Charger R/T for my Camry, and I’m still shocked at how much more I love the Camry. I’m probably never driving anything else from here on out.
I own a 2005 LE that I bought in 2017 with 50k for $6900. I now have 191k on it. And besides wear and tear items ie tires, alternator, battery and throttle body cleaned and struts; the car has been bulletproof. I plan to keep it as a backup car. And I will purchase an SUV or later model Camry or Avalon next year.
Nice video. I bought the 2019 Camry XSE in 2019. Great car, bought with 6 miles and just turned 29000. I love it. I also own 2 more vehicles so my Camry is only driven every 3rd month.
Wife bought a theft recovery 2019 SE very similar to yours w low(45k) miles. We've been very impressed with the car. Similar mpg to yours especially on highway.
I have a 2021 Camry SE, it's still mostly the same car you have. It has around 56,000 miles on it. It's a champ. I have yet to see anything I dislike about it.
Hi Steve! I’m rideshare driver too and I have exactly the same car as yours. I got 228k on my car and still running good. The only issues that I had it was my bearings, brake pads, rotors and suspension. I had to replace the sway bar link and bushings which cost almost 1k (labor and parts)
Yea I feel like I might have to change brake and rotors soon because they are making a noise. Now I’m at 245k miles gonna change oil soon, would be interesting to see what the dealership will say this time 😅🫣
@@stevenfedorov Maybe I missed it in your video but at what mileage are you changing your oil and what brand and weight of oil are you using? I have a 2018 xse purshased new with a little over 32,000 miles that I really want to make it last a loooooooog time
@@bradterry9207 I change my oil at dealership, they don’t ask me what oil to use but the only oil that works with the car is 0w-16 full synthetic. It’s written under the hood as well “0w-16 oil only”. i bought a used 2010 camry se 2.5. started uber at 30k miles for 3 years and at 134k miles, spark plugs, 2 sets brakes and tires and i went through 2 oil change every 3 months i have an all season for summer and winter tires for the snow and its a great car all year round . i had a tire pop on me at 2am and had to call AAA to let them put on a spare ha , having AAA is a must have when you doing ride share . pretty much the car pay for itself the first year of uber i couldnt see myself buying a new car and using it for uber
Thank you so much for this important video! I also have a 2019 Camry SE bought new in November 2018 but about 200,000 fewer miles than yours so it's good to know you and some of those commenting below are getting 200,000+ miles on the 8th generation Camry without major problems. I also am impressed that your seats and interior are holding up so well in a rideshare situation. Having low mileage I still have the original tires and battery, the only original part replaced (other than oil, filters, wipers) is the fuel pump that was replaced in the factory recall last year. It's good to hear the bearings, struts, alternator, rotors, pads, etc. tend to last a long time. Though my mileage is lower I have driven this car 4 years and it's been trouble free. My biggest complaint is how the transmission shifts at lower speed but you get used to it. Mine is not a hybrid and I assume the ones mentioned in the comments below aren't either. I wonder how well the hybrids are holding up after 200,000 miles. Anybody got a lot of miles on a hybrid 2018+ Camry? Just curious, I didn't want to gamble on a hybrid, a lot more to go wrong.
Yes I agree I’m kinda skeptical on hybrids because I feel like the engine switching from electric to gas may be a problem. I’d rather have either all electric or just gas powered car
Also I heard that the hard shifting at lower speeds is just from Toyota having a memory shift so the car adjusts to how you drive. After the shifts adjust to your driving and you accelerate differently, the car tends to jerk. Only way to fix it is with a special scanner to reset the shifting
@@stevenfedorov Yes, and the battery starts deteriorating from day one, plus all those other extra parts. I don't hear much about high mileage 8th gen hybrid Camrys so wonder if the battery can go 200,000 miles. With a hybrid you save lots of money on gas in city driving but if you have a major hybrid system problem then repairs could wipe that out plus you have to decide if it's wise to fix it or just junk it. I didn't want to go down that path so got the regular gas model.
@@stevenfedorov True, normally the shifting isn't a problem, it's when the computer gets confused whether to select 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear after you slow down then accelerate abruptly. I've heard the 2022 model has shifting programmed better , so wonder if shifting could be reset better in the 2018-21 Camrys. Og well there's always the paddle shifters!
I’m not a driver and I have a 2002 Camry with 196,000 miles. I’ve replaced the catalytic converter and other than routine maintenance that’s all. It runs great and no leaks, dents, or rust.
My 2020 XSE came with a bad left rear shock and ate up 2 tires before I figured it out. Replaced with new KYB's and good to go. Hit 81K on her yesterday. Love that car.
I have a 2008 Toyota Camry at 91,000 miles and am happy to know that it can probably go another 100,000 like nothing. But a Camry is what I really want.
My '18 Camry XLE(3.5L V-6) is easily the best car I've ever owned. Only 63,000 miles so far, but the Camry goes to Florida and Arizona every year. 35-36 mpg on trips, unless I set the cruise at 85 mph, then it dips to 31-32 mpg.
Beware of Water Pump and Oil Leaks with the 1st iteration 8th Gen. Camry. Also, the Panoramic Roof. When driving to-from FL and AZ. always be on the lookout for snipers shooting at vehicles on the highway and hidden cops trying to meet their monthly speeding ticket traffic quotas. Going through Texas is always risky. Don't speed thru Midland TX but you can only at High Noon.
I have purchased Toyota Camry/Aurion combustion engined vehicles for thirty years. The last three have been new V6 models. The 2021 SL model Camry is by far the best yet. The quality, reliability and performance of these vehicles has been outstanding, particularly over long distances in the Australian climate. The 1998 CSX Camry is now owned by my daughter, with 256,000 km on the clock. I have owned other new brands in the past and will remain with Toyota. Given the opportunity I will happily trade up to a new hydrogen model, as I’m confident with Toyotas technical prowess to develop this technology.
I just lost my 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6. 😞 some girl ran a red light and t boned me. I had that car for 3 yrs and loved every minute of it. It was extremely fast and reliable.
Thanks buddy. I had driven a 2020 camry SE as a loaner car, worried that the transmission would be a problem. Constantly shifting around, even at highway speeds, worried I would kill it. Must faster car than my 09 camry, even though I have a 5 speed manual. I would be interested in knowing your maintenance schedule/routine. My 09 just turned over 200K also, but is starting to get rusty underneath so will need a new/used car next year.
Majority of my maintenance is oil changes every 5k miles. Started doing transmission fluid change every 30k miles Coolant needs to be changed every 50k miles Alternator every 300k miles 😂 I know now Wheel bearings preferably before 300k miles ( you will hear them grinding)
I have a 2020 camry got it 7 months ago and already put 20k miles on it. I do my oil changes every 5k. I plan on doing the trans and all other services when they are due.
Oh yeah I did, 3 times to this day but that wasn’t enough. Transmission fluid needs to be changed between 30k-60k. If you don’t change in those intervals, there’s a chance the transmission can go out! My first change was at 155k miles and what a good mechanic would’ve said “not worth changing it at that interval”…dealership recommended it at that time 🤦♂️
We also have a 2019 Camry SE but ours has a sunroof. We're driving under 4k per year. 228k miles would take 57 years. Hope it lasts that long. Thanks for a great video.

About 3 months ago. I test drove a 2019 Toyota Camry LE White in Color. The dealership let me take it home for the weekend. I fell so in love with that Camry. It drove and ran great👍. It had 80,000k miles on it. Awesome Car. But I decided not to buy right now and keep my 2015 Toyota Corolla LE with about to roll a 138,000k miles.

I used to change mine every 10k miles because my dad kept saying that but there’s a mechanic (the car care nut) he would tell you to change it every 5k. So now I start changing my own oil every 5k miles so I wouldn’t have to change my engine one day. That would be an extremely expensive repair bill! 😬
This is awsome! Thank you 🙏🏽. I’m also a ride share driver. I have a 2013 SE. I’m coming up on 200k. Hopefully within the next year or so I would like to get a newer model. This has been super helpful. Thanks again! Be safe and good luck on a million 😊
Congradulations on 200,000 miles. That Toyota gas engine is the finest engine ever made. Highly likely its good for another 300,000 miles. 1. When did you change engine oil. Every 5,000 miles or at some other mileage point. 2. Who did the oil change, a) You the owner, b) a Toyota Dealer an c) Indy Garage 4.) was Toyota oil and Toyota oil filter always used for the oil change. 3. Have you performed a cylinder compression test on each cylinder in the last few months.
1) first I started changing oil every 10k miles now I start doing it myself every 5k miles 2) First the dealership did my oil changes, then a shop Menieke, now I do my oil changes 3) No I haven’t done a cylinder compression test, not sure why I would need to honestly
I just bought a 2020 toyota camry se...34,000 miles for $28,000 included taxes and fees. I like the car...but I'm still trying to figure out if I made the right decision.
In the long run, I think it’s worth it. If I had to choose to buy a NEW car for $27k or a USED car for $28k I would buy the used one. In 1 year that new car will be worth $26k or less, while the used car will hold its value more. If God allows, the next car I will buy cash. If I don’t have the money, I’m not buying it.
Thanks for the information! I am a 2015 Toyota corolla owner myself and I have 78K miles but for a car that's turning 8 years old this year it rides like new. I hoping to get it to 200K miles. Now that we have a video about your car we should get a break down on how lich money you've made with it
I would recommend transmission service. Drain and fill every 20k, and also brake fluid flush every 50k, also engine coolant flush with water pump and trimming belt due to that many miles just as preventive maintenance
Great video Steven. Glad you are happy with your Camry. I have the exact same 2020 Camry but mine is LE and I've only driven it to 15K miles on it so far. Overall a very reliable car but sadly I am noticing some minor quality issues that never happened on my 2007 SE. 1) Interior rattles and buzzes during summer and cold winter (plastic door panels, dash, front AC vents). 2) Uneven hood and trunk panels, unacceptable for a brand new car, causing the edges on these panels to chip their color when they touch ice 3) The ECU is loud during winter. It slightly buzzes when I hold my brakes (Toyota said it is normal). 4) Just like in your video, the rear center seatbelt beeps whenever there are passengers in the left/right zone, I have to always tuck it. Overall I am a bit disappointed with the car, a lot of quality cuts in this generation. The new Lexus ES250 will be my next choice for sure.
Yes I noticed the seatbelt beep right away it’s a pain with my riders. I have to always keep it buckled. One trick I noticed is when I pick up riders, I don’t park the car, I simply wait until they get in the car while the car is in drive. It beeps less often. Also I start noticing some buzz noise coming from the driver front wheel side. It sounds like how you explained it. Anyway thanks for the comment, really helps 👍
I agree. Toyota has not improved the quality of their vehicles but each year has made them inferior instead of superior. The bottom line is about MONEY $$$, quality and safety are next to last. My next choice could be a Mazda. Lexus is part of Toyota, I would not bother. LE = Lame Excuses.
I have researched this topic at length with modern Toyota 4 cylinder engines and there are polls on forums that clearly correlate 10K oil changes with oil consumption. This is reiterated by an engine tear down of a Toyota on the Car Care Nut Chanel where he shows the oil control rings locked up on the pistons for a car with 180k miles and massive oil consumption. As a result, I change my oil at 5k miles, full synthetic and filter even though the oil is still so clean, almost like new at the distance. My Prius has 135k miles and the oil level doesn’t drop AT ALL between changes. If you want 200k+ miles without needing to add oil, it’s a must.
@@mylesgray3470 lol, I watched the same video that’s why I asked no clue why someone would go to 10 K miles without an oil change even for a Toyota but what shocked me is that you are getting 40mpg on the highway with car prices skyrocket right now as much as I want to hybrid I might just get the regular SE.

Dang he got over 200,000k on his Camry? And I thought I was bad...lol I bought my 2018 in 2019 she had 34,000 Miles on her. Now I have 112,040 on her. Unfortunately I haven't had the best of luck with mine. Alot of weird issues, also had a hit and run back in 2020. Found out my car was in a previous accident before I became owners. Which now makes sense even before my accident there was things going on. I'm ready to trade her in. My 2nd Camry and both have been unreliable. But the new styling is Sharp and I get plenty of compliments and looks.
Regarding climate control you can set 75 and push AUTO button and forget about AC button, it will maintain that temp by itself. It will turn AC on/off if needed by itself.
I haven’t used that button in a while because when I do set it to auto and 75 degrees, sometimes I feel like I’m not getting enough air. But yeah you are right, it does keep the temperature stable
I’m looking to become apart of the Toyota family. I want a Camry or a Avalon. I currently have a ‘14 Nissan Altima. Bought it cash on Jan 1st, 2021. They are known for having HORRIBLE cvt transmissions. My Altima hasn’t gave any problems yet but I don’t wanna wait and find out. So I’m looking to get a Toyota in Jan 2023 after my 2 year mark with the Altima! Leaning towards the either a 2019 or 2020 Camry. They seem to be cheaper than the Avalon’s.
The Avalon drives more like a Lexus (with a punchy V6 but buttery smooth suspension on the XLE and Limited trim level) than the Camry. But the Camry is also a good choice (very economical with the 4 cylinder engine.)
@@DonRashad if you’re on a budget then the LE (for soft ride) or SE (Sporty ride) would be your choice. However, if you spend a little more you’ll be happy with the XLE (Soft ride) or XSE (Sporty Ride) with the Leather seats and premium sound system (JBL) and Navigation. Either way, you’ll be satisfied if the Camry was maintained well.
Dude I have one and it only has 44,000 miles on it and it’s a 2019. Do you deliver food too? I thought about doing that in my ‘19 Camry Le and I don’t want to create a large maintenance bill, plus I brake gently and try to look ahead wherever steering (smith system). Also, do you pick up people that don’t need to go far? If you deliver food, do you take the shitty pickups too? Or are you really picky? I just want to find a way to make extra money.
No, I don’t deliver food and honestly I don’t want to because I keep having to cancel my rides because restaurants are either closed or renovating and coffee spills in my car …not fun I just take people now. I’ll put it this way, I accept all ride request. Cheap ones and long ones because I keep my rating higher that way. Yes some rides pay little but overall, with bonuses, it’s not too bad. I like being able to take long rides with Lyft compared to short food deliveries. My best recommendation is stick with one ride share company and keep your ratings high. You will make more money that way

Hey Steve what oil change interval have you been doing? The factory recommends every 10k but I plan on sticking to every 5k. Any other fluids like trans, brake, or coolant?
I change oil every 10k, just did an oil change yesterday. I got an oil sticker that said “check oil level more frequently “ I guess I should keep an eye on the oil from now on lol but so far I’ve already did all fluids flushes once. I’m not exactly sure what interval the coolant needs to be replaced tho.
@Steve’s Fundamentals every 10k ? Damn your lucky your car has lasted that long then. A toyota master tech did a video on he's youtube channel about a camry with low miles(for a toyota) way less then 150k or so miles needing an engine replacement Due to the owners doing oil changes every 10k. They Said the same thing oh the dealer said so the manual said the oil bottle said so.. its a modern engine lol anyways the video is on The Car Care Nut, tittle is the important of doing oil changes, something like that if you wanna check it out (: he already did a transmission, rear def, transfer fluid change on my 22 camry that was a while ago and it only has now 25k miles lol. I change my own oil every 2k miles NOT because it needs it but because I love doing it. I Use pennzoil ultra or amsoil premium only. To each their own. Nice video bro 👌 peace out. ✌️
If I were you I’d buy a used one. You save money on purchase price as well as on depreciation. Car prices drop a lot as soon as you drive it off the lot
How did your insurance company handle it when you got in the accident? Even though you weren't at fault most companies don't want to cover you if you drive for Lyft or Uber from what I've seen.
I have a 2018 SE J Vin code, made in Japan, not 4 code made in US. Just hit 92K miles. Literally have not had a single issue. Keep up with maintenance and fluids and they will last forever.
I agree, I internally cry everytime its time to replace my tires every year and a half😭. Im currently fixing my fender due to a hit and run. $100 for a new fender is CHEAP, but some how a new headlight is $900 but its fine because the light stayed in place and only cracked the shell on the side and not the whole light.

2) Uneven hood and trunk panels, unacceptable for a brand new car, causing the edges on these panels to chip their color when they touch ice
3) The ECU is loud during winter.
@@stevenfedorov always put in drive when doors are open.
The ECU is loud? How do you know it's the ECU?
I agree. Toyota has not improved the quality of their vehicles but each year has made them inferior instead of superior. The bottom line is about MONEY $$$, quality and safety are next to last. My next choice could be a Mazda. Lexus is part of Toyota, I would not bother. LE = Lame Excuses.
Any issues with oil consumption? I hear that is very common with this model. Also on how many miles did you do the oil change? 10k?

Yes I use full synthetic 0w-16 and no the oil doesn’t burn
Thank you for sharing your experiences with your Camry. We have a 2023 Camry LE that we love very much. It’s a great car also I appreciate you sharing the Bible verse at the end.
Thanks for sharing!
You already have 200,000 miles on a 2019. There are cross country truck drivers who haven’t logged 200,000 miles since 2019.
Hey man just came across your video what hitch did you use?
Uhaul, they installed it for me
Hey Steve what oil change interval have you been doing? The factory recommends every 10k but I plan on sticking to every 5k. Any other fluids like trans, brake, or coolant?
We change every 5k in ours and will change transmission fluid soon. Only 45k on it.
I’m looking at one for 19K$ with 109k miles. Do you think it would be a good idea for me to buy this or no?
I brought mine 2023 model SE for 30k which is a brand new one. Don't waste your money behind an old one with lot of miles on it
If I were you I’d buy a used one. You save money on purchase price as well as on depreciation. Car prices drop a lot as soon as you drive it off the lot
Even Mark Cuban, A BILLIONAIRE from shark tank, still drives a beater car
@@stevenfedorov thanks man! I appreciate your advice!
@@DMVLord glad I could help
With 228,241 miles the average price paid: $15,259 compared to the average 43,500 miles for a 3 year old Camry SE would be $24,490!
How did your insurance company handle it when you got in the accident? Even though you weren't at fault most companies don't want to cover you if you drive for Lyft or Uber from what I've seen.
I have a 2014 Toyota Avalon with 400k miles. I put a used engine and new hybrid battery.
Yea some parts on new Camry can be pricey but I didn’t know that a front bumper was only $100. That’s not bad at all
Light is cheaper on Facebook. I got my trunk with the lights for that price.
Woooooooow......220,000 miles on a 2019!!!!!!!
Yup lol
Did you replace the transmission fluid.?????
Yes once
does the le show tire pressure
not sure about the le model mine is a SE model
@@stevenfedorov does your model show the tire pressure
@@emaniwomack5447 yes it does
How is the road noise and seat comfort?
It’s pretty quiet inside seats are comfortable for me. I don’t have heated heats tho I wish I had those in winter but they are not too bad
So me buying a 2019 Camry XSE with 93k mikes shouldn’t be an issue?
Unless the previous owner red lined all the time and never did basic maintenance, it’s fine
