Alfie as Jock is amazing!! His lines are the some of the best lol! “In world where there are no rules, no order, no organized plan. Certain men are identified by war itself as its natural executors. And those natural executors take matters into their own hands.” “I’m bringing together men of a particular calibre, and you are amongst them. What a fantastic way to breath life into a rarely mentioned bit of the Desert War/The North African campaign of WWII! Researching and writing about Jock Lewes as a novelist, opened my eyes to a whole new level of ‘what it means to be a hero!’ Lewes’ life story and more poignantly his last few hours make one realize that valor is about your choices to the very last moment. What is true courage? For me, I look to Jock Lewes. I look to my own grandfather who risked everything to save people. Alfie Alan is probably the best actor that has come out of Britain in recent times. Like seriously! I know there are bigger but do they really act better??? I don’t think they do. Alfie as Theon was an epic portrayal
First Class Series, I was seriously worried they wouldn't have the budget to do a good job. Superb very well done. looks like they got given the cash to do it justice.

French actress, Sofia Boutella born in Algeria. You might have seen her in Star Trek with Chris Pine and in the first Kingsman. She also plays in french productions. Former Madonna's dancer (great dancer by the way); Wiki out....
First thing on the BBC I have watched in like forever, really enjoyed it. Was the pilot who flew the Dominie from Bermuda? Because if so it didn't happen according to the Carribbean Air Crew website. Also the aircraft was in a post- war colour scheme and markings. The Dakotas were wearing mid to late war markings. Note to the director, aircraft engines and canopies don't like sandstorms they generally have covers over them for that reason. Good effort on the German aircraft colour schemes and markings all things considered, I will even let you off for using Buchons 😁
I bought the full version of the SAS Originals War Diary and gave it to my eldest granddaughter Rebecca who is chuffed. I also took her to Menin Gate on my Harley as a treat.
I think the kid who played young tolkien also in this series right? Tom glen something. He also currently playing Aegon II Targaryen in HBO's house of the dragons.
1:55 ah I feel for ya! My wife can whip up one of those heat shields for the front windscreen and then fold it up like it was nothing. Me? I couldn't put it back together if my life depended on it.
Did the first three episodes last night, love it! Grandad on my mums side was a desert rat, Grandad on my dads side was a merchant seaman who did the Dunkirk thing...
I don’t think the SAS back in 2nd World War worried about hairstyles, so probably a bit more rough and ready look , would add more ethnicity to the actors . But a great series over all , as lots of people will have a connection by family members who fought at Torbruk campaign 1941.
Was looking forward to Masters of the Air, but this excellent series has set a high bar. Kudos to BBC-EPIX for not sanitizing the real life LGBTQ+ characters.

There was some really obvious overdubbing of lines in the series. First episode and second. Peoples mouths move but the lines coming out of them are 100% different.
Seen all of it. Best thing the BBC have done since Pride and Prejudice. This rocks. I normally hate the BBC. I don't even have a TV licence because I am a Christian and don't like their attitude to the church.
Can the bbc just stick to the story please. No need to add extra characters in aka spy lady. Nothing against the actress, she plays the part well, but this story does not need dramatising, the truth is already surreal and wacky without agendas being thrown into the plot.
I wanted to like this series, but didn’t. The anachronistic music, Vietnam-era style, and some of the silly dialogue is very distracting from everything else and makes it all seem like a parody more than a real, historical action series. Which is too bad as the set pieces are incredible, and show the potential this show had. But it’s like getting pineapple and banana on your pizza, it just doesn’t fit and spoils the rest.
"Exclusively an English concept ".Are you really serious? Stirling was Scottish and Mayne was from N Ireland and played for the Irish rugby team? The founder and the 2in command! I’m stunned over Alfie Allen. He is nothing like Theon Greyjoy. This series looks interesting.
I like him much more in this role, I find it suits him better
