I think the part with Dr Doom is misunderstood. Doom gave a tacit agreement, the understanding comes from if he disagrees he's more important the world. Likely similar with his Captain America judgement, they were trying to figure a way to outsmart him and something inside the Cap made him fail him. Definitely a rhyme and reason
I thought it was face value. Even the Celestial admitted it was a simple test:
Admit Reed is smarter then you, you pass. You show that even the most hard-core villians can be humble.
Doom saying no, means he doesn't care what happens to the world. He'd rather let it burn then show a bit of humility 🤔

@@BrakSplash I think you misunderstood. It was a test yes, but not a text of how humble or uncaring Doom is. If someone where to ask Doom to admit that Reed was smarter than him, he’d laugh at them for saying something so stupid. He’d also kill them, but the Progenitor can get away with it for being so powerful. The test was to see if Doom will be true to himself, he was. Doom passes himself, and so does the Progenitor.

I'm pretty sure there is rhyme and reason to his judgment calls, yo. I think he's judging people based on how well they apply themselves to their nature, as well as how successful or productive or effective or what have you they are at the purpose they choose to try and serve. (Even if it's a harmful purpose that will hurt others or destroy stuff or the like)
At least it seems kind of like that's how it's (sorta obviously) supposed to be oriented, to me.
i think he judges people on how true they are to themselves, doom refuses to bow even in certain death and failure, which is in his nature thus the judge passes him
@@333dae that's pretty much exactly what I meant by how well they apply themselves to their nature. The word nature as I used it was supposed to communicate the context of somebody's like... "core truth".
And actually now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the second part of my idea also applies to what referencing with someone being true to themselves. Because people tend to have conditions they were born for and a path they choose to walk... I feel like someone would only being true to themself if they serve both duties well
Agreed. From what I’ve seen, Progenitor has been judging others by their character. For example if Doom casually admitted that Reed was smarter than him, then I’d say that man wasn’t Doom.

@@shaqodom2027 no, they can revive pretty much anyone, but reviving captain america, a non mutant, breaks the law/tradition.
He's a mutate just like Hulk, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Fantastic Four for example.

Mr Sinister made me laugh out loud a few times in this issue.
An interesting thought, Cap might be revieved as a mutant.
The "theres no rhyme or reason to the judgements" at least based on this comic alone seems to be incorrect. The celestial is seemingly judging people by if they would find themselves "worthy/good/accountable" whatever it was going for thats why Thor and Doom pass for what seems like innocuous reasons, but cap fails for what seems like it makes no sense.
Like.it said, by definition Thor must be worthy bec he can wield the hammer, but we know that if this was during the time where Thor could wield the hammer the celestial would deem him fail.
Doom makes sense as well, because doom has always been the utmost of "im the shit" kinda person so of course he would laugh at the play to admit reed is smarter. and any other version of doom would agree.
Captain america lives by his moral character. he wants to be a symbol of peace. but conversely he is a tool of war and destruction. its almost hypocritical. thats why he fails. bec its like he oretends to not own up to what he is actually like and it not a symbol of peace.
the civilian woman that fails, its cause she jnew the right thing to do. and when faced with the oppurtunity, she does not take it. and because she knows what she should have done, she is deemed fail. conversely, if she believed with all her being that not doing the thing was right, and then proceeded to not do it, she would have passed.
Cap’s last words to the celestial were amazing!

Knowing him, he probably already has a plan to kill it.
It's only one Celestial compared to all the previous cosmic threats in the comics such as the Horde, Aspirants, Annihilus and so on. If Doom had the balls to go against the Beyonders, who killed every cosmic being in the multiverse, he can and will go against this Celestial.

It's about conviction. It's about the principles
To be honest, I stopped liking the series once I passed issue #4 - I was expecting a massive Avengers vs X-Men vs Eternals, but with a common enemy, it was only natural for the three teams to put aside their differences and work together.
However, the end was magnificent. It's indeed a brilliant series that can very well be made into an animated movie.

How ironic, by trying to stop a war they create their worst nightmare thinking it will be their salvation. Iron Man, Sinister, and the other eternals really tried to fix things and created a literal real doomsday scenario. This is peak Marvel. Marvel Dark Ages had potential but it doesn't come close to Judgement Day.

@@theproginator5800 he destroyed Valhalla and resurrected himself in Thor. Plus he was technically never dead because The Void is still out there, who is Robert Reynolds as much as Sentry is.
They had to keep Sentry out of this one because he'd just resurrect himself right after the Celestial hit him.

Hey, I love your channel, but one thing bothers me.
is there a reason you don't put the "part" in the title? I find it very hard to start a series in the middle and then find the previous parts. For example, this is part 4 and I know there are 3 other videos but I have to listen to find out which one is the first.
Otherwise keep up the good work.
I think the best way to keep up with stories is to watch Comistorian, this channel is great for catching cool moments that would compel you to read the entire comic that the moment in the video is talking about.
My guess is the way they're going to beat the celestial is to Just survive his judgment using the revival ability. Once it's done it's job it would just die.

Loving these new issues. Loving the grand scale of it again it's great. They should have used the celestials for the next Avengers movies as they are the only threat bigger then endgame really. If you consider the MCU it would be a good step up and not much of a shift from guardians style visuals etc.
Kang stories are cool too I guess and I knew they were heading there with the multiverse weaved through it all but it's just not on the same level as thanos were a celestial is. Doesn't have to be the grand celestial like in this comic but one of em with enough threat to put do thanos in the MCU. I really do think that's been the downfall of it since. The stakes are not as bad. Also the woke army making their mark but mostly I think the threat peaked with thanos at least in the MCU.
