@@darkshadowx9543 likely true. Marvel and DC both have a long history of it. Marvel increasingly found ways to write out mutants in favor of Inhumans when Fox had Xmen. More recently Kingpin is out of the comics while he’s “dead” in the MCU. He’ll be back in both around the same time

Before the new 52 Black Adam was a major player in the DC universe, he started WWIII and waged a war against the heroes of earth by himself. Plus it makes sense for him to be a major figure in Dark Crisis because it is a story about legacy, and Adam has an ambivalent relation to legacy because his Black Marvel family was horribly murdered back in 52, he even references it in Dark Crisis #1. If the character push is because of the movie coming out then I welcome it, it is a return to form.

"new leader" isn't the right term, I think they will make him the "iron man" of the DCEU as in the main face..which would be horrible. They are going to make him fight Superman, beat him and they become friends and Black Adam is a good guy cause the Rock wants to continue being the face of DCEU for many films to come etc..

Anyone else kind of annoyed at how DC comics keeps *Firestorm* so WEAK? Dude should technically be Top Tier Threat. He can destroy Superman, Martian Manhunter, and even Green Lanterns! The fact that he is so underwritten and underused is a (metaphorical) crime.

and I think the end goal for Dark Crisis is to help set up a new all stars team for the new young heroes that isn’t just another Justice League branded name, as most of us know it’s only a matter of time until Batman and the rest of the JL return eventually. so it makes sense to me for them to showcase that no one can replace them but instead they need to create something better from their ashes (in a sense).
Would make a great idea for the Justice League to deal with cosmic level threats that target earth, whilst the Titans train the next generation of superheroes, the Lanterns protect the universe and then this new potential superhero group could focus on the Earth level threats that happen day by day. Just an idea, but we’ll see what happens soon enough by the end of this series.

Again...I'm all for Black Adam becoming more of a hero! I've always thought the idea of giving an adolescent kid powers to rival Superman was ridiculous. Its hard to take him seriously and I don't like the whole Marvel family with too many people having those powers. Black Adam is the more serious shazam hero and I'm all for that plus the Black and gold is a intimidating and cool look. So yes lets redeem Black Adam and make him a hero please!

God I love Black Adam. I feel in love with him when I saw superman/shazam vs black adam. It's only about 30 minutes long I HIGHLY recommend it. But that being said, the rock will absolutely ruin his character.

This is going get interesting. Deathstroke is leading his secret society attack heroes across the world with help from Pariah and the great Darkness, Jon Kent and the Heroes are getting help from the JSA, and The Legion of Doom is back.

Variant Comics, you and I sometimes have different understandings of the DCEU. Granted that my word ain’t shit as to where you have connections and just know shit. Wouldn’t you say that you have more experience than I do? Which by the way is why when you speak on things they come to pass as to where it seems like I’m just talking out if the side of my neck? Am I correct Warstu? That is what experience does. Now apply it to the DCEU. Just like when we disagreed on who the blue light was from in Justice League. You called it in saying the redirection of Superman. As to where I thought it was the electricity of Static Shock. Who by the way has saved the entire Justice League from Braniac. And stood toe to toe with Sinestro. Two heavy hitters right? Would you say that there have been mistakes made in the DCEU already? I would. Why? Because of the entirety of the DCEU not being taken into account. You ought to know by now that I believe in playing everything out in real time. Kind of like Grand Theft Auto. All of the storylines are playing out all at the same time. Sometimes the storylines cross paths and you might see battles from other heroes taking place while the main story at hand is playing out. You can’t tell me that Superman can’t see the Batman logo in the sky. Or Superman and Shazam flying passed eachother on their way to do battle. Or a boulder Superman rejected landing miles or even cities away just missing Flash running through the streets. A bang baby running through the streets dodging stuff while being chased by Static Shock. But the main storyline is Batman battling Mr. Freeze. Out of the corner of his eye Static Shock sees Mr. Freeze about to get the drop on Batman and shoots some electricity his way to right cross Mr. Freeze. You just know the electricity is traveling straight up the stream of water turned to ice emanating from Mr. Freezes. Or Flash mass punching the Penguin. Or Wonder Woman in battle crying out in pain because she just got hurt while Superman is catching a car his enemy just threw at him. You think that he not gonna catch and release that car to help Wonder Woman? Or Vice versus? I got off the point to make a point. Sure they have territories cities if not states apart, but there are so many heroes out there filling in the void. I understand that you want to keep the audience trained on just one story so they won’t be confused. Back to the mistakes made. The Flash is a very unique character. It has been shown that he traverses the timeline very often. There’s no way that Black Adam could appear and not acknowledge him. Same with Aquaman being as old as he is. Black Adam and Aquaman clashed in the past, broke bread, visited each others domains. Not in present day but also in the past. Hawkman and Hawkgirl also know who Black Adam is. These people are practically on first name basis. Just like it was shown that Dr. Date knew Black Adam on first name basis. Knew him enough to be comfortable enough around him. This is that experience that I was talking about. Black Adam seeing The Flash would have him asking why did he travel to the future just to challenge him. But then the realization would make him bring out that he traveled to the past to study him. Which is how Billy Batson and Kel El got certain information on Black Adam to turn the tide of the storyline. Knowing what happened to Black Adam in the past that caused him to turn and figuring out the misunderstanding between Black Adam and the original Shazam. Which by the way would reveal a dark side of the original Shazam nobody knew existed. Black Adam could’ve been in battle and had the upper hand, but the original Shazam didn’t want him to kill therefore locking him away. However by locking him away and ceasing the murder of that villain allowed that villain to cause more atrocities in the world which took on the form of a cataclysmic event that shouldn’t have happened. Not Shazam, but the female Shazam that said she would love him anyways to touch Black Adam in a way that changes him so he can sit on that empty throne of his. That’s a relationship just waiting to blossom. Possibly a little jealousy too because when he sees Wonder Woman they will have acknowledgement too. Possibly as lovers in the past. Or just hood friends. No doubt they battled. What I’m getting at is in bringing all of these older characters around that have been in existence for thousands of years then there has to be some form of acknowledgement between them. Especially when you have to bring in Vandal Savage and Valthoom. And where things could go awry in changing Black Adam from killing could have catastrophic consequences is because someone he should’ve killed but didn’t brought around someone else’s creation which gave The Joker the poison he used to trick Superman into killing Lois Lane. Which drove him mad and he in turn killed The Joker. He learned the lesson that Black Adam taught him. As did a couple of others. But also that same being Black Adam didn’t kill could end up hurting if not killing the female Shazam and he once again goes on the warpath with Shazam not being able to stop him. Yes… Vandal Savage has been busy since he is the villain behind every major cataclysmic event in history right on into present day. He was turning them against eachother and building his own crew of villains that once was heroes. Same as Valthoom out in the universe. When Martian Manhunters are included into the DCEU there will also be an acknowledgement too because of past visits. Along with Green Lantern to an extent. It would be more like so you’re the new Green Lantern? And so they finally let you out? Because of having to give clout to certain characters nobody truly understands just how powerful the Lantern Corps really are. Especially The Guardians of the Universe and Valthoom. We’re talking beyond omega level beings here. Which none of The Justice League or Shazams could really defeat. They could fight, but not win. Unless you’re just handing out clout. And don’t bring a team of Lanterns around. You really got a problem on your hands. Now how’s that for experience over book knowledge?

Black Adam would have made more sense with the authority.
Let him stay in his own universe. We don't need a sequel picking up right up after the second, just to have Black Adam lead the Justice League. Don't overdo your bounds. He may have helped bring the Snyderverse back, but that doesn't mean that the whole company really needs him to lead and be a huge part of ruining Snyder's Justice League vision. It should mainly be a Superman and Batman main Justice League, and not have Black Adam automatically insert himself like it's nothing. I want the true Justice League vision with all the extras that Snyder planned for it, just like the books.

@variantcomics I got two words for you: Vandal Savage. Through all that is you must come back to that one man. Vandal Savage. Why? Because he is the reason why there is a super hero in the first place. It is because he has had his hand in every single major battle ever fought since his birth. A as bd each major battle created the right circumstances for a hero to be needed to save everyone. Not Darkseid or Steppenwolf. Even with all that has been done to make Black Adam there was Vandal Savage masterminding all the evil that created the battles. And then all that happened to turn Black Adam evil or create Moon Knight or Hawkman and Hawkgirl there was Vandal Savage behind it all. And that is even if Black Adam really was evil. I still say that he was grossly misunderstood. Nobody is totally good just like nobody is totally evil either. All Superheroes have a dark side to them. That is why Superman has red krypyonite. That is why there are Black Lanterns. Batman and his contingency plans. The Joker literally saving Batman’s life on multiple occasions because nobody kills Batman but him. And of course… you don’t touch Harley. This is how I know the true main DCEU. You have to come back to see that man. In doing so you understand everything that has been happening. Therefore I can literally see a Black Adam tv show being made showing his origins and the meeting of the original Shazam that gave him his powers. It was all orchestrated by Vandal Savage creating the situations and circumstances surrounding Black Adam’s creation. Moon Knight creation. And in that tv show you get to see Vandal Savages origins since he is older than Shazam and Black Adam. By Vandal Savage existing is why a Green Lantern was eventually created from a Terran in the first place. It was because of a battle in space that blew apart an asteroid fusing it with certain powers that was transferred into Vandal Savage. The Green Lanterns, being a group existing over 3 billion years, could’ve been fighting Volthoom when it happened. Vandal Savage watched the fight alongside his crew of cromagnum men and saw the meteorite fall to earth. His search brought him all that he has today. Now that is main DCEU. The main DCEU is about The Guradians of the Universe and the Lantern Corps they created once evil arose. Not Superman. This is how you can tie it all together in the main DCEU should it ever be written. Remember that the Guardians of the Universe are as old as life itself. It has to start with them. How those genius writers gonna pen such a universe is beyond me. I just know what has to happen and who’s standpoint the story must be told from. And it sure ain’t no Kryptonian. However it should be in Superman’s knowledge crystals who they are.

I'm open to opinion or insight, but a major reason I got sick of newer DC comics is that it seemed to become less about making stories and expanding the lore and just showcasing whatever product they are selling or being over reactionary. Like in 2006 in Action comics all of sudden Superman's costume looks exactly like Brandon Routh's in Superman returns and the fortress of solitude just magically turned into the crsytaline structure of the Donner films. Or when Wonder woman's costume all of sudden was identical to her 2017 movie costume. Or anytime I bought of teh Origanl animated films the special features were basically commercials on why I should think DC comics is cool. It's like dude..I already bought the product, you do not need to sell to me. It's turned me off in a big way.
