    Its like dude said, if we sell our old cruisers and someone kills someone driving one of them, is it the fault of the sheriffs office? No dont be ridiculous, if he didnt get shot with that gun hedve been shot with another gun

    So saving a few thousand $$$$$ is more important than getting guns off the street? If he sold 650 guns, then he got about $35 each for them. And that's not remotely comparable to selling a used service vehicle. That's just PATHETIC reasoning, Sheriff. Kudos to the departments that aren't reselling their weapons.

      $35 for a firearm? Yeah right. Try $300-500 each and times that by 650. That’s a lot of money that the departments can use. Those guns are lawfully sold to a variety of buyers. From civilian gun dealers to foreign governments, military and other LE agencies. And whoever purchases those guns is responsible for their safe keeping. Like the sheriff said, it’s not his fault a criminal got a hold of that weapon.

      @@Vet0714 Sheriff said specifically that they made $25k for 650 firearms. Do the math.
