I had this back in the day. I decided to go to a local park so I could sit on a bench and play with plenty of sun. But, it was already around 6pm when I started.
After killing a vampire boss, I had to race against the sun to get the coffin to the Piledriver in time, before the sun went down. I only just made it in time. Whole situation felt very immersive.
Love the gameplay, artistic style, and sound design of Boktai. What a hidden gem.
Today is a great boktai day.

@@groomsdaniel I’ve been playing off and on and recording footage when I do. I just haven’t gotten around to writing a script and editing footage haha. I’ve been meaning to though.

I feel it is the other way around. I was really excited for this game back in 2004, but was really disappointed by the gameplay. What really annoyed me was the constant need for sunlight, making you sit in awkward angles (with an SP) and unable to play at night. I expected more exploration and much bigger zones. I really tried to like this game, but I just couldn’t get into it.
@@HarryNoharaan original GBA makes boktai much more fun; the angles are less awkward since it was designed for that system. the SP wasn't out yet.
I got this game in the 4th grade and was terrible with it because I didn’t understand so I foolishly traded it in for a different game. Since the MegaMan battle network legacy collection released I’ve desperately wanted to play the game again because of the crossovers between the two games in MMBN 4-6. Sadly the physical game is very expensive and something I could afford so the only way to play a rom is with the solar sensor patch. Once I found said patched rom I’ve had a blast playing it again.
@@dustinkennedy143 We’ve all been there haha. I remember trading away a lot of stuff when I was a kid because I had no idea what I was doing haha. The patched rom really isn’t too hard to find, I played mine on the original hardware but you should be able to just google it and find it. If not let me know and I’ll see what I can find in my files!
