Legends say that when Jordan was 11 yo, he was visited by a big guy who told him "you are a wizard Jordan"
Jordan is a awesome keyboardist. I was introduce to Dream Theater by my bass teacher because of John Myung’s playing. When I heard the keyboard player I was blown away! I was like who in God’s green earth is this guy? Jordan Rudess. NOW I hear sample tank the way supposed to be played. The best guy for the job!👍🏾❤️
That choir sound is absolutely incredible 🔥🔥🔥🎧Jordan is such a class act..
Thank you to Jordan for contributing so much to developement of new music tools!
It didn’t sound like that when I bought it.
This is how you demo a freaking instrument!!
Anything with Mr. Rudess is AMAZING! What a player
Wow! Just wow! Great sounds and great playing!
Wonderful job Jordan! Thank you for sharing this!
This is totally Awesome! Thank you for the product!
His improv approach at 22:00 is at a whole 'nother level. WOW.
his "improve" is more talented than alot of musicians whole careers lmaoooo
That Rhodes is perfect! Many have tried but I think IK nailed it!!!
Except that would be a Wurlitzer;-)).Anyway there are much better ones.Waves for ex 49 $ .Perfect wurli.
I sincerely hope that SampleTank4 includes Jordan's presets! You can tell that Jordan really loves doing this. He did it for SampleTank 3, and he's doing it for SampleTank 4. Like I said with the previous one, you should feel honored and know that you're doing something right when Jordan wants to endorse your product! Also, as always, Jordan you're smashing it out of the park. Also, I love your Necronomicon T-Shirt! Still a wimpy crowd though... hahahha
If you are after the vintage vibe, sampletank is the way to go,perfect for prog.
Jordan is completely amazing.
First touch: just a small breath of Wakeman. Jordan, I'm spending too much time listening to this...but cannot tear away!
And just like Wakeman, all head, no heart and soul. 🙄
Dang !!! What a talent ! 👏👏👏 this guys really inspires me to practice piano all day long, 24/7 365/12
Truly amazing!!
I've got ST3 i'll be buying this for sure...
I am a huge fan of Jordan's playing
JR is a musical BEAST!
Outstanding musician.
Cant wait to start playing around with it (has startet and it´s awesome...!
It's like interviewing greatness itself.
What brand of fish oil capsules are his choice to get such fluid high velocity travel?
Include his brain mapped as A.I. in a future update, as a new type of VST instrument of improvisational accompaniment.
What a ridiculously talented musician 🌹
Music Virtuoso and the best Tester for Sampltank.
I really believe Dream Theater should record a cover of this demo.
this guy is an absolute genius!!
JIM JONES Mmmmm not gay, more like musical, virtuosic genius.
JIM JONES wtf was that about? Lol
@JIM JONES lol
As someone has mentioned, what you want is not Sample Tank 4, but Jordan Rudess playing it. Does it support MPE? After a demo at Chuck Levins, I ended up with a Roli Seaboard 49 that was played by Jordan. So MPE would be good. :)
Just improvising wow! damn monster.
13:42. Guitar w/ background strings. So inspiring! in spite of the lack of slides...
So do the orchestral instruments obsolete the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 or do they compliment each other? Or perhaps it uses the same samples from MPII?
Have both (well preorder) but it'd be great to know ahead of time.
Incredible!
Amazing!!
Cant wait for this version to hit IOS.
Thinking back to SampleTank 2 I really loved the DX piano sound and was wondering if SampleTank 4 carried the same voice. It reminded me of the very popular Yamaha DX 7 in the 80s
I'm breaking out my "I used to play piano book" and practicing! LOL
Greatness!
IK - when are you going to release Jordan Rudess patches for Sampletank?
Every time I listen Jordan playing I shut my korg off. He's the master.
Gabriel Bock you should do the opposite, turn it on and let the man inspire you. Turn it around. Maybe one day you’ll become just as great.
I had an invitation to NAMM. Should have gone. Wanted to check out the Sample Tank 4 library in person.
10:15 is beautiful!
Nice job IK multimedia! It’s so awesome that we’ve enjoyed nearly over a decade this type of good quality sampling. I’m now mostly interested in audio efx that can shape sound and create plenty of new options and ways to use sounds that we already have in our arsenal.👍🏾
Why do you go to NAMM? To hear people like Jordan! Oooo and to find out about amazing new capabilities like ST4
Regarding the samples, I've also noticed that you've kept in the distorted sounds on pianos low end, and the fingers moving on the guitar samples, but they only happen depending on velocity. It makes the sounds organic and real sounding. I don't know the algorithm of when the "faults" happen, but it happens perfectly when I play.
This is important, because it adds a human factor to your recordings.
IK Multimedia: Can you explain more about the algorithms used to bring in these organic "faults" into the playing of classic instruments?
I was on the Front Row!!!!
18:46 Jordan’s “know this sound test “ 😁 .
Hello
I am interested in this software I have a kronos 2 but how to use it with this keyboard as you do it
thank you for your reply
Wow Jorden....❤️
Where can I find the list of the sound bank used in this demo?
i love the image of jordan's t shirt 😄
It takes years of practice and talent to play like that, not a korg Kronos or a sample tank. You can buy the hardware and software but you can't buy the talent.
Not with that attitude you wont!
Cortana ADA&POE Because you’re not Jordan Rudess. Anything is possible if you work hard it’s not about practice it’s about work ethic how much do you practice and how hard do you work. Some people are prodigies others aren’t and they still get the job done within a year or 2. Get to know your own sound. And stop that attitude. I won’t reach Jordan Rudess and Jordan will definitely not reach my talent. Why is that? Both of us have different styles of play...which means be yourself and play!!!!!
Cortana ADA&POE That’s one of the reasons why you won’t make it in life it’s that simple you don’t have the determination and positive thinking . Yes, with hard work and good work ethic you will become better. Hard work beats talent. You can’t be LeBron James and LeBron James can’t be you. Dude you can’t talk and say people have an edge in life if you’ve haven’t tried your best, you haven’t, you don’t even know your own potential that’s how sad you are. You are limiting yourself to be basic. You just don’t work hard enough. Once you work hard you’ve got to keep working harder, and once you keep working harder you’ve got to keep working even harder! Trust me you’ve got an edge before a lot of people you have water and food and some don’t....but yet they’ve worked for it and they’re now millionaires billionaires and you’re still here in the same position. Don’t say that and step your game up you may have an edge over someone in music but don’t forget that 12 year old is right behind you. If you don’t step your game up...don’t be sad when he plays better than you. It just shows who has better work ethic and determination
Cortana ADA&POE Once again I don’t want to be Jordan Rudess or Cory Henry I want to be me and I want to motivate others to be them. I want to be the greatest version of myself and I also want you to be the greatest version of yourself. But it looks like you can’t, you’re lazy, and you just don’t work hard enough. Idiot
Cortana ADA&POE All I can say is that you’re a disgrace and I can see that you’re a lazy bum. Yes you could be equally as talented. Keyboard is for everyone lol....you’ve got to play till nobody could really compare...you can’t really tell who’s a better player between Cory Henry and Jordan Rudess because they both have different styles but their both on the same platform. That’s what I’m trying to say! You dumb fuck. 😂😂😂
What is the upgrade plan from Sample Tank 2 and will the ST 2 packs (I have 30) work in ST 4?
Hi, you should be qualified for the upgrade price at www.ikmultimedia.com/st4/ You will need to import your ST 2 packs into SampleTank 3 first and they will work in SampleTank 4 (you can import them even into the free version)
Fantástico!
The wizard Rudess
200gb Omg😱😱😱 hope I can get a chance to afford #SampleTank4 Great News IK “Salute For Ever
I studied classical guitar for many years, that sounds so like a classical guitar
That pipe organ and choir WOW
You should do a residency in Las Vegas just playing solo
22:00 DANG!
Vision+Attension+Focus+Will+Energy = Accomplishment (Manifestation)🤯👍🏻
Thanks Jordan for being an inspiration 🙏
👋🇩🇪
This guy is the Steve Via of piano players. Amazing
21 to 23 thats some panzer Draagon sounds there
This man is able to do anything with his fingers
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Elgoomtaf LOL
That’s what she said.
Interesting how JR controls the software from the Kronos setlist. That must have taken a great deal of programming.
SampleTank 4 has robust MIDI capabilities so it isn't as difficult as one might think.
22:22 that change sounded very much like Dave Wise's Donkey Kong soundtrack
genius
you can tell he's a genius and a great artist because the beard.
19:20 the Test
I want to play like this😔
wow
i wish my fingers could move that fast
Jordan Rudess...making keyboards cool since 1999.
Keyboards were cool long before Jordan came along.
@@spicecrop Yea...ooooookay...lol
About his mad skills...Jordan entered Julliard around the age of 9. So there's that. Also someone said he never ages. That is true. He is an Immortal. The beard is a dead giveaway. One day he'll just disappear and everyone will be like "where's Jordan Rudess?"
Interesting watching his finger/hand technique. His wrists are often below the keyboard!
He literally knows every note, chords in his soul so he can improvise music. Practice will get you to some extent but to play like this you gotta be gifted.
Name timbres please ?
I bet all those juicy patches sampled between Modena & Bologna were inspired by loads of Tagliatelle al Ragù ..mmhh Tasty !
Just let us borrow 3 of your fingers sir... My lord...Thanks 🙏🏾
I am still doubting is that tempo right for Rudess. =9
He made a whole album in this demo
Yeah so I made a timestamp with my own titles..

2:59 - Freedom In The Air
6:36 - Stealing The Night Pt.1
7:35 Stealing The Night Pt.2
9:18 Configuration Denied
10:15 Gateway To Portugal
13:43 Living My Last Breath
16:01 Late Delivery

25:41 Journey To The 7th Realm Pt.2

28:52 Surpassing The Master
@@DanioPaskal Thanks for the timestamps and nice titles! You're good at this!
I've seen The Wizard!
22:00 could be a stage from Donkey Kong...
At 6.59 I ordered a Martini . . . . .
Thats double dragon music @ 1:34 🤣
How the hell is he connected to Sample Tank? There is no usb connection when you look at his keyboard. Is he going in through Midi cables?
Only Midi Out - so Erik is switching the Sounds ;)
He's also able to change sounds right from his controller too.
he's a wizard
Is he playing SampleTank from his Kronos keyboard? I thought it only worked off an Ipad?
This is SampleTank for Mac/PC which (like SampleTank iOS) can be triggered by any MIDI controller.
wheres my bucket....ill show these whipper snappers
9:10 - Terribly similar to the latter end of his keyboard solo in Live in Budokan.
Well, my keyboard never do that.. Sad.
How is he controlling SampleTank through the Kronos? I know it can do external MIDI, but this looked like something more..
Why would he need anything more than MIDI out? MIDI includes note no., velocity, aftertouch, mod. wheel, pitch bend, sustain pedal, volume/expression pedal and prog. change. That covers everything.
If you want to see how synth presentation should look like check JEXUS
!!! :)
please bundle a brain and fingers of jordan :D
This will have some value if Jordan would use it on next Dream Theater album.. (I guess he will not ;)
Even the beard is electrified..sample tanked...so to say
Jordan dont need a arpegiator in any keyboard, software.
13:40 - Thank Me Later
I want to be the best keyboardist at 40 bpm............
This is Not, I repeat your Fathers SAMPLETANK!!!!
