Love this guy! I used to be a piano player. Then moved to guitar in rock and metal bands. Moved over to drums and drum programming. And now because of this guy, I am buying a Kronos X88 and moving back to the keys again! Thanks Jordan! :)

I'm thinking about buying a Korg Kronos
Jordan sold me on the Kronos, but nobody mentions price.... Is that taboo, or ya just don't want anyone passing out? I saw the Keyboard Mag. Interview with his enormous rig(s), and I believe Rick had two KronosX's. The Grand Pipe Organ sound on it made me cry it was SO good !!! S Surprised Jordan didn't use it. But, as usual, he killed it with your sounds, and the custom sounds. IronieS is the first keyboard I've really gotten excited about in a very long time. I still like old school sounds, and just figure out a way.... Thanks Korg, for a killer rig for performance you don't have to have a degree to use. I think the word I'm stretching for us INTUITIVE...
Does the Kronos 2 have many Arpeggiators.

RICHart V. - Yes, buy the Kronos 2 when you can, you will love it for sure. I still have my Korg Triton Extreme, which I bought over 10 years ago. In comparison the Kronos is similar to the Triton Extreme, but just all the sounds are even more high quality in the Kronos 2, especially the orchestral sounds, and piano sounds very natural and real.

I didn't like it when I first saw it online. Then I got to do a stage tour at a Dream Theater show and saw it in person. It's actually quite nice looking in person.

I thank synths are suppose to be used for unnatural sounds such as leads and pads outer space sounds not guitars and orchestra sounds I get a kick whin someone says a synth has shity pianos and organs whin it was not made for it they way more capable than that.
LOL he plays the harp on keys better than a real harpist on a harp. His fingers are freaky!
I've always found the Orchestral sounds on any keyboard to be very flat and unnatural sounding.
You should keep in mind that he is not using the orchestral sounds solo but in the context of a progressive band with big drums, distorted guitars, bass and vocals. A lot of dynamics and nice textures are not the essential components for cutting through a mix. I guess that's why for a lot of keyboardists it's usable. If you want to have great orchestral sounds, using a pc with plugins and a keyboard as a controller is the best way to go.
But the platinum still lacks the aesthetics of Korg M3, which was more of visual impressing than platinum. The platinum with black faders and knobs doesn't look that pretty as a Korg M3 which had white faders and knobs...!
