This VST sounds fantastic, I downloaded the demo to try it out myself. My main complaint would be that the front end does not resemble what the actual instrument panel looks like. Thus it is harder to play around with the settings to match either other similar VST’s or the real deal.
what's the point of trying to match it with other gear?.....are you a tester or a musician? i'm enjoying some of the 303 and galaxy sounds just fine...after a bit of tweaking arpeggiations and adding a bit of analog warmth and grit....i'm reminded why i've been an IK customer for almost 20 years. good job guys....
Seriously you can’t understand why people would want this to look like the actual hardware synths that its emulating ? To answer your other question, I am a musician and musicians usually like to test out something before they purchase it. My feedback is very valid and something Ik should take note off.
Just got the full version of Syntronik for iOS. A large part of what sold me is this excellent, informative video. Plus, I figured if Jordan Rudess approves and uses Syntronik, then it has to be one of the best and is fine for all my synth needs.
Thank you! You should check out Hammond B-3X for iPad too if you enjoy Jordan's favorite apps - he used it for a live Deep Purple gig (yes, on an iPad, technology is amazing nowadays): www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=jordanrudesshammondshow
Thanks a lot Jordan for the review. It's definitely a wonderful thing to have all these great synths in one place! I'm interested in purchasing the iOS version of this software, hoping it will be same as the computer software by means of the tone quality and options. I'm wondering other than typical synths, is there any of the keyboards / sound banks that can cover physical instruments like strings, piano, acoustic bass, etc. (wavetable synth)? I imagine it can't have things like a detailed sampled piano otherwise it wouldn't be able to fit conveniently in an average iPad, but even with smaller size samples like the piano tone of Roland JV-1080 that would be great to have in a tiny iPad, especially for carrying it around with a MIDI keyboard for performances. If not, and if you have come across another iOS app that covers those physical instruments, I appreciate if you let me know. Thanks again.
ikmultimedia love Syntronik!but Drummers like me waiting Also new vst or signature product like Terry bozzio or cobham Drum SampleTank pack....we Want new products 😍
I picked up Syntronik months ago, but was unimpressed in part because the parameters for all the different "Instruments" are essentially the same. However, all of the little details, tips, and background information plus the mini-performances open up potential I hadn't seen before--and in much less time than reading the entire manual!
I agree I love the sounds. My only quip would have to be the absence of a Transpose switch. Also I noticed in POLY mode on the V 80 the Portmamento only seems to work IN mono. You cannot change octaves unless you get more sounds . Maby its a sample limit thing I dont' know but on a controller you are kinda stuck in that octave. I love the split function , If only it would let you change octaves , Maby I missed something in the manual. I tried the Transpose function in Audio bus and it has no effect on the octave or tunning. or is that octive ? LOL
..Help Someone:I need to know if it's possible to use the channel strip in this Syntronik on other VST virtual instruments without actually using the Syntronik instrument sounds that come with Syntronik ?? because I have Syntronik and their Channel Strip is one of the best warm and thick channel strips I've ever heard.
Cast your VOTE! Should IK MUltimedia turn it's "Syntronik" ( -softsynth suite ) into a hardware instrument? How about a workstation keyboard? Hi, currently our newest versions of products require 64-bit as they are more powerful and complex than past versions. We still do have previous releases of many products available that will run on your 32-bit system/DAW but since Syntronik is new it is 64-bit only. Thank you for your comment, it has been noted.
I'm watching this for the first time since I filmed it and remembering how much fun I had doing this and how great this library sounds!
Thanks for doing this! Always a pleasure for us, too.
now get this thing to authorize and we'll be good to go....

Anything with Jordan Rudess in the video, gets an instant 'like' from me. It's obviously going to be spectacular.
My goodness did I just see left and right arps at the same time? Magnificent!
I loaded this stuff up on my PC and I couldn't stop jamming tinkering around with the sounds. Addictive stuff!

The sway of your beard... it's hypnotic.
i bet jordan had a blast testing this equipment
...and lending his friend (the person behind Syntronik) one of his synths! :)

Every time he plays, I feel like I should have a Nintendo controller in my hand waiting for Level one of any game...
Would be great to midi cc map these to my Korg Radias controls !
I notice Jordan has a mighty strong neck. Awesome playing.

Would be cool if you make a demo video with an actual DT's or Jordan's song
I need to have this!👏👏👏👏

This guy literally can play a trashcan sample a make it sound amazing
👍
SHOULD HAVE PLAYED RUSH
THAT is a REALLY old Apple Keyboard.
Jordan's a highly talented musician and all-round cool guy. I just wish he'd de-friend that dead squirrel that insists on living on his chin.
No 32bit no deal

Great demo, but please shave that broom of a beard.....
Why? You can just ignore it. I can’t stand it. I just don’t look at him.
Could you imagine spending decades becoming an amazing musician and some guy overlooks it all because he can't get over your choice of facial hair?
