Man so many people miss Robin's second to last double joke. "I love the prince" but you'll never have a friend like me. The Prince in this case refers to Aladdin, but it also refers to Will Smith who played Genie in the remake, also known as the Fresh Prince.
@@FlowUrbanFlow he doused his self in rum while free basing cocaine and lit himself on fire. He ran down the street on fire and was subdued by the police and taken to the hospital. Reason is unknown, but thought to be a suicide attempt.
Joan was ruthless IRL at red carpet events she was hilarious...her and her daughter...She ALWAYS made fun and poked jokes at her plastic surgery...so was nice to see her here...miss her...miss them all...they all gave me good laughs...EVEN Cosby...love the reaction...Joan won...they put Robin last I think cause Joan really liked Robin Williams and they didn't want her dissing him...Love from Canada
That Gene Wilder part was pretty complex. Pryor co-starred with him in the movie Silver Streak and Carlin says that Pryor comes second to both himself and Gene Wilder. Thus it's a "silver" streak since second place gets silver in every competition.
I don't know. Her "I'd attack you two first, but your hearts beat me to it" is pretty damn brutal (seeing they both died of heart attacks). I also really enjoyed her "the men I slept with only wish they were unconscious". xD Joan had really great lines in this.
as the story goes, rich was doing a lot of drugs during the 70s and he caught on to free basing. one day, at home, he was smoking and somehow he lit himself on fire and ran out of his house. when a cop came up to him and asked him if he was ok, rich reportedly said "i can't stop or i'm gonna die." the cop had to tackle him to the ground to stop him and to put out the flames. rich very nearly died from that incident which he talked about in his legendary set "live on the sunset strip".
I slept on this battle cause I just knew about Rob Williams back in the day. Your reaction made me look for this guys and eventually I became a big fan of George Carlin. Thanks man. I can't be more grateful.
The realization of the whole thing with Cosby is top 10 reactions I've seen here or anywhere! Love your reactions dude, keep it going! Also, check out some classic Joan Rivers. Absolutely ruthless.
Yeah the set myself free thing hits hard since I believe I read somewhere he was suffering from dimentia. So it's highly possible that he committed suicide due to not being able to handle his deteriorating mind. Dimentia is bad for anyone, but I gotta feel like someone who spent his whole life utilizing his insanely sharp wit, would feel the loss in mental faculty all the more keenly.
Yes, you're correct. He had Lewy Body Dementia and was slowly losing control of his faculties. I think his family sort of expected the outcome we got. I'm just glad he didn't kill himself sooner. The threat was always there, after all. It was still hard losing him, but I'd be a liar if I said I wouldn't do the same thing in his place. Thank God my government has a humane euthanasia program. Only downside is how fucking stupid they are about it...
Joan Rivers "The men I slept with only wish they were unconscious" ... She never hesitated to create some heat at herself and make it really burn the other person.
Hidden bar bonus, "Brain Droppings" is the title of on of the books written by George Carlin. But wait theirs more, they wasted an opportunity with Robin. After Mork and Mindy went off the air Robin Williams word with Richard Pryor on a sketch comedy show. Also Richard Pryor lit himself on fire while high on crack, he jokes about it in one of his specials.
Joan loses points for me because she wasted so many of her lines on the guy who self-burned and was already down, which I will grant was true to her character. Robin FTW.
@Whatitdodave that's Joan Rivers! Who would've taken over the Johnny Carson show but she turn it down(according to the fanbase and the publishing companies) she would've got the "Tonight" after the death of Carson. But she went on started her own business(which people thought was a slap in the face to him) however who really wants a business someone else started than you'd be called second rate or somethimg along those lines? Thats why Jay Leno it instead..
My man said, they did not just do that to Cosby lmfao. Overall, I think Joan won but she's got more plastic bodywork than a Chevy Avalanche... The Cosby quaaludes are what won for knocking his ass out!
First reaction where they get the fire jokes on Pryor. He was my favorite comedian growing up among all of these comedians and did a HS black history speech on Richard Pryor and just remember being called for time and saying “but I didn’t even get to the part he set his hair on fire for allegedly smoking crack” and she let me finish the good part
The Robin Williams part is almost entirely movie references. "Good morning movie bombs!" is paraphrased from "Good Morning Vietnam." "Oh Carlin my Carlin" is "oh Captain my Captain" from Dead Poet Society. Nanu Nanu was a think from "Mork & Mindy". It goes on & on.
"Movie bombs" is actually a double because the other 4 have all been in movies that weren't well received either critically or with the general public. Carlin was in Jersey Girl, Pryor took a bad guy role in Superman 3, Rivers played Dot Matrix in Spaceballs, and the Cos? Dare we forget Ghost Dad?
It may not be the harshest line but "You got second hand raps, found 'em good will hunting" is a nice double that I haven't really seen people acknowledge.
It was the Live from the Sunset Strip special. He told a joke he had been hearing after the lighter in his hand exploded while smoking crack. So he lit a match and kind of moved it in front of his face while bouncing his hand because the joke was that's Richard Pryer running down the street. Shit was cold blooded but he totally owned that it and killed the crowd with the joke. Genius level stuff.
Thank you! It’s been years since I’ve seen this. I had it on VHS as a teenager and got rid of my VHS in my early twenties. I couldn’t remember the details they were fuzzy
@@TheAnonymousShade Glad to help! I feel you as I had tons of VHS tapes of stand up specials from when Comedy Central ran only those. Live from the Sunset Strip is one of my top 10 for sure.
Richard Pryor burned himself freebasing a comedian who had visited him before the accident witnessed Richard running past him down the hallway engulfed in flames.
I remember catchin' ol Jones on the telly LOOOONG before I ever even heard of the other two(three? four??) so in my book, she's the original Spitter. small wonder she mauled three of them. :P
Robin Williams won with his first line. His success was the only comedy that translated to big movie bucks. Nobody cared enough to go see the others when they got a shot on the silver screen, though Pryor came close.
I dunno but Carlton had the best flow and I enjoyed his barbs. Joan's attacks were good but mostly wasted on a non contender and her one attack on Carlton was limp. then ya got Robin who just had fun, laying a jab at each of them in just the friendliest of attacks.
"Anyone who's payed attention to the environment lately, knows you should reuse your plastic bags... to suffocate your children" Actual line Frankie Boyle said one time on mock the week
Hands down Joan ripped them all to shreds. But in the end, though I think she won the battle, Robin will always have my heart.
Robin Williams was spot on this ERB
What's messed up is the only one that's still alive is Cosby.
*And Joan won.
But he’s dead to the world lol so it fits
Yeah, he was included because his status as an icon is as dead as his career and life.
Time done rectified that lol.
Man so many people miss Robin's second to last double joke. "I love the prince" but you'll never have a friend like me. The Prince in this case refers to Aladdin, but it also refers to Will Smith who played Genie in the remake, also known as the Fresh Prince.
OoOo, nice catch!
The hair catching fire was Michael Jackson, during the filming of a Pepsi commercial. Richard Pryor was burned from the waist up, freebasing cocaine.
Pryor used to light his head on fire for comedy bits
My dude was drugged the fuck out for a long time he had it bad
@@FlowUrbanFlow he doused his self in rum while free basing cocaine and lit himself on fire. He ran down the street on fire and was subdued by the police and taken to the hospital. Reason is unknown, but thought to be a suicide attempt.
In his ERB against Elvis, Michael Jackson said, "...shoot you from the waist up".
Iirc they added Robin because a lot of people were asking to add him, so they added him last minute which is why his verse was so short
That Gene Wilder part was pretty complex.
Pryor co-starred with him in the movie Silver Streak and Carlin says that Pryor comes second to both himself and Gene Wilder. Thus it's a "silver" streak since second place gets silver in every competition.
The flames bar is a double. Richard co-wrote the screenplay to Mel Brooks Blazin' Saddle. That was a genius script for that movie.
Robbin William's was the greatest human to be alive ever tbh imo RIP
@god_is_schizophrenic no
Who're you wearing now? State penitentiary?
That's the hardest bar in this.
🤣
I don't know. Her "I'd attack you two first, but your hearts beat me to it" is pretty damn brutal (seeing they both died of heart attacks). I also really enjoyed her "the men I slept with only wish they were unconscious". xD Joan had really great lines in this.
Here's my take on this battle: Rivers won the battle, Robin won my heart.
as the story goes, rich was doing a lot of drugs during the 70s and he caught on to free basing. one day, at home, he was smoking and somehow he lit himself on fire and ran out of his house. when a cop came up to him and asked him if he was ok, rich reportedly said "i can't stop or i'm gonna die." the cop had to tackle him to the ground to stop him and to put out the flames. rich very nearly died from that incident which he talked about in his legendary set "live on the sunset strip".
He was just standing there and poured gasoline on him then lit himself on fire
Perfect time for ERB. Thank you!
Pryor: "I'm THE original brotha..."
Cosby: "HEEEYYYY!"
More like "Hey!....Hey!....Hey" because Fat Albert
I’ve seen a lot of people react to this one and you’re one of the few that caught Rivers’ name n the line. Great reaction man!

Love how they worked in the 7 words in the verse for GC.
~_~
Sad about Robbin saying he had to set himself free
Yeah the set myself free thing hits hard since I believe I read somewhere he was suffering from dimentia. So it's highly possible that he committed suicide due to not being able to handle his deteriorating mind.
Dimentia is bad for anyone, but I gotta feel like someone who spent his whole life utilizing his insanely sharp wit, would feel the loss in mental faculty all the more keenly.

Awesome reaction dude! Would love to see you cover more ERB
Joan did not care about none of them 🗿 but that last line from Robin Williams "I gotta set myself free." Got me like 😃 ain't no freaking way.
When Cosby walked in your reaction had me HOWLING
"Genie of the bottle for some comic relief" is a pretty hard-hitting line by Robin Williams, even if it was self-directed.
From a purely comic standpoint, Cosby had (was) the best joke.
Pryor caught his hair on fire when he was freebasing. That’s one of the stories he told on stage.
Lmfao! Your face at Cosby!
I love that they ruffied Cosby and the actor sounded perfect
Joan Rivers "The men I slept with only wish they were unconscious" ... She never hesitated to create some heat at herself and make it really burn the other person.
Pryor caught himself completely on fire while he was freebasing, he did an Amazing set about it in one of his concerts.
First video of yours I've seen and dude, your voice! You should be doing radio/podcasts or some kind of talk show
It was caught on fire freebasing and ran down the road on fire
That's the reason he talks about it in a stand up soon funny
I do like that the part Cosby got out was from one of the greatest standup routines in history. Bill Cosby Himself, 1983
Hidden bar bonus, "Brain Droppings" is the title of on of the books written by George Carlin. But wait theirs more, they wasted an opportunity with Robin. Your reaction when Cosby start to fade.....I was dying
@Whatitdodave that's Joan Rivers! "Was it during a play?" Ummm....if that's what you want to call freebasing coke, sure. 🤣
Man you have the cleanest most musical bass tone to your speaking voice it is wild.
When it comes to ERB, nothing is off limits
Robin's line about hitting plenty of bumps is a cocaine reference.
not even a question, george carlin was the most real down to earth comedians to live
Pryor got caught on fire while free basing cocaine
My man said, they did not just do that to Cosby lmfao. Overall, I think Joan won but she's got more plastic bodywork than a Chevy Avalanche... The Cosby quaaludes are what won for knocking his ass out!

That’s pretty good ERB lmao
Yes, they went there.
he was freebasing cocaine and caught his hair on fire.
Everyones face when Cosby comes in gives me life
Yes they did
A lot of hair products back then were flammable, Richard Pryor and Michael Jackson's hair caught on fire.
Pryor caught his hair on fire because he was smoking drugs. He talks about this incident in one of his specials
It was the Live from the Sunset Strip special. He told a joke he had been hearing after the lighter in his hand exploded while smoking crack. Once again one of the black icons most iconic moments was from doing drugs like fetenayl floyd.
Richard Pryor burned himself freebasing a comedian who had visited him before the accident witnessed Richard running past him down the hallway engulfed in flames.
nobody ever gives Zeale props for his bars as Pryor.
Richard Pryor caught his hair on fire after he set his curtains on fire freebasing.
Pryor's hair caught on fire when he was freebasing cocaine
With Richard Pryor, he was doing free basin so he caught his whole body on fire
It’s funny how they actually put Cosby in this Battle, That Accent though
During A mental break richard pryors hair caught fire
I remember catchin' ol Jones on the telly LOOOONG before I ever even heard of the other two(three? four??) so in my book, she's the original Spitter. small wonder she mauled three of them. :P
Thats joan rivers iconic stand up female comedian
He was making some kinda combustible drugs.
And this one's not in the playlist either.
ERB IS ABSOLUTELY SAVAGE SAVAAAAGE
They didn't give Richard Pryor enough punches but the self dis/flex bar is well with in his character. Alot of his humor had self hurt in it.
He was burned by a crack pipe if I remeber
It caught fire while he was free basing cocaine.
robin said "gotta set myself free" cause of how he died, he you know did the thing to himself, so he set himself free
michael jackson had hair on fire, pryor had whole body on fire after free basing
“Set myself free.” 😔 and Robin Williams won for me
We all hit plenty of bumps!
-Cocaine
Damn man you have a radio voice
“Where Cosby come from bro?”
That’s what she said
I know Michael Jackson caught his hair on fire as a kid during a Pepsi commercial. Didn't hear about Richard.
Oh, YES THEY DID!
Robin Williams won with his first line. His success was the only comedy that translated to big movie bucks. Nobody cared enough to go see the others when they got a shot on the silver screen, though Pryor came close.
Joan one but Robin wins overall and it's a great tribute to him how he leaves.
Look at epic rap battles like the show south park. They don't hold back lol
one lots of folk seem to miss is:
"thanks folks that's my time, time to set myself freeeeee"
and Mr.Williams is no longer among us due to a suicide.
I didn’t miss it. It’s was pretty obvious.
It is Joan Rivers
Your voice!!! holy f...!!!!
So, you haven’t watched the Darth Vader VS Adolf Hitler ERB of History??
I’m pretty sure I seen that one before
Can I pay you to narrate an audio book?
You think I would be good at that?
@@whatitdodave man, you've got one of the most relaxing voices I've heard. You could read a phone book and I'd pay for the recording
Joan Rivers comes on and this guy is like "who is dis?", how dare you
You look like old Akasan.
He set himself on fire. Drug overdose.
I dunno but Carlton had the best flow and I enjoyed his barbs. Joan's attacks were good but mostly wasted on a non contender and her one attack on Carlton was limp. then ya got Robin who just had fun, laying a jab at each of them in just the friendliest of attacks.
Yeah. The whole counter counter counter was absolute crazy, and very on point because Carlin in life talked that fast
Put soommee thinnnggg inn the pudddinnggg
Richard Pryor said he lit his hair on fire when he was doing crack.p
Hey Hey Hey, you forgot to rate the Cos, and you know that's a mistake.
Robin Williams is always a win
You should watch some of Joan's acts. As you said... She gave no FUCKS.
How dare Cosby be the only one alive!
Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers definitely slayed everyone
The main people barely got any time in this so I was disappointed, big Carlin fan.
when you realize Cosby outlived them all
joan riveerrs is not ruthless. frankie boyle is the most ruthless comedian in the world
