Man so many people miss Robin's second to last double joke. "I love the prince" but you'll never have a friend like me. The Prince in this case refers to Aladdin, but it also refers to Will Smith who played Genie in the remake, also known as the Fresh Prince.

Iirc they added Robin because a lot of people were asking to add him, so they added him last minute which is why his verse was so short

That Gene Wilder part was pretty complex.
Pryor co-starred with him in the movie Silver Streak and Carlin says that Pryor comes second to both himself and Gene Wilder. Thus it's a "silver" streak since second place gets silver in every competition.

I don't know. Her "I'd attack you two first, but your hearts beat me to it" is pretty damn brutal (seeing they both died of heart attacks). I also really enjoyed her "the men I slept with only wish they were unconscious". xD Joan had really great lines in this.
The flames bar is a double. Richard co-wrote the screenplay to Mel Brooks Blazin' Saddle. That was a genius script for that movie.
as the story goes, rich was doing a lot of drugs during the 70s and he caught on to free basing. one day, at home, he was smoking and somehow he lit himself on fire and ran out of his house. when a cop came up to him and asked him if he was ok, rich reportedly said "i can't stop or i'm gonna die." the cop had to tackle him to the ground to stop him and to put out the flames. rich very nearly died from that incident which he talked about in his legendary set "live on the sunset strip".

Yeah the set myself free thing hits hard since I believe I read somewhere he was suffering from dimentia. So it's highly possible that he committed suicide due to not being able to handle his deteriorating mind.
Dimentia is bad for anyone, but I gotta feel like someone who spent his whole life utilizing his insanely sharp wit, would feel the loss in mental faculty all the more keenly.
Yes, you're correct. He had Lewy Body Dementia and was slowly losing control of his faculties. I think his family sort of expected the outcome we got. I'm just glad he didn't kill himself sooner. The threat was always there, after all. It was still hard losing him, but I'd be a liar if I said I wouldn't do the same thing in his place. Thank God my government has a humane euthanasia program. Only downside is how fucking stupid they are about it...

After Mork and Mindy went off the air Robin Williams word with Richard Pryor on a sketch comedy show. Also Richard Pryor lit himself on fire while high on crack, he jokes about it in one of his specials.

He was my favorite comedian growing up among all of these comedians and did a HS black history speech on Richard Pryor and just remember being called for time and saying “but I didn’t even get to the part he set his hair on fire for allegedly smoking crack” and she let me finish the good part

Who would've taken over the Johnny Carson show but she turn it down(according to the fanbase and the publishing companies) she would've got the "Tonight" after the death of Carson. But she went on started her own business(which people thought was a slap in the face to him) however who really wants a business someone else started than you'd be called second rate or somethimg along those lines? The Robin Williams part is almost entirely movie references. "Good morning movie bombs!" is paraphrased from "Good Morning Vietnam." "Oh Carlin my Carlin" is "oh Captain my Captain" from Dead Poet Society. Nanu Nanu was a think from "Mork & Mindy". It goes on & on.
"Movie bombs" is actually a double because the other 4 have all been in movies that weren't well received either critically or with the general public. Carlin was in Jersey Girl, Pryor took a bad guy role in Superman 3, Rivers played Dot Matrix in Spaceballs, and the Cos? Dare we forget Ghost Dad?

It was the Live from the Sunset Strip special. He told a joke he had been hearing after the lighter in his hand exploded while smoking crack. So he lit a match and kind of moved it in front of his face while bouncing his hand because the joke was that's Richard Pryer running down the street. Shit was cold blooded but he totally owned that it and killed the crowd with the joke. Genius level stuff.

I dunno but Carlton had the best flow and I enjoyed his barbs. Joan's attacks were good but mostly wasted on a non contender and her one attack on Carlton was limp. then ya got Robin who just had fun, laying a jab at each of them in just the friendliest of attacks.
