I was sad when I realized Robin William’s line about “setting myself free” was actually about how he freed himself from depression. Rest in Peace, legend.
@Cannabis Dreams I meant it was a reference to the end of Aladdin where he was freed at the end. Prisoner at the beginning, free at the end. Just like this rap battle.
Sadly yes, he dealt with extreme depression his whole life, and he got Lewy body Disease, you can look it up but basically it was really hard for him to do anything.
@@lordforrest7686 Yeah, plus he got totally 'rapped' (minus one "p") in divorce court MULTIPLE times, by multiple ex-wives! He was basically working himself to death trying to keep up with all the alimony payments he was forced to make! (even though the money & job offers were drying up, the court ordered $$$ amount wouldn't be reduced) In his final years, instead of slowing down & enjoying a retirement, he was selling off treasured possessions to friends just to make his payments & keep himself out of jail. A tragic end to a tragic life. (but a very funny man)
@@tinle9 Yeah, he had been struggling with depression for ages. It's becoming more widely known that a lot of the greats of comedy are depressed or have other mental issues, there's even a documentary on it called Misery Loves Comedy.
this one and fawkes/guevara were good, but kreuger/wolverine and mcdonald/burger king were pretty weak by erb standards. the fast food one just reused the lines from that “flash in the pan” battle they did, which weren’t up to their usual standard to begin with.

Joan Rivers knew George Carlin when they were both starting out as comics in New York's Greenwich Village in the 1960's Bill Cosby had been a stand up comedian in Philadelphia, New York and Chicago getting his start as a bartender in Philadelphia.
Idk. Joan def killed the first trio, but Robin Williams first line: "Hello TV Bombs." Nuked all 4 in 3 words. None of them were more successful then Williams.
He was very good in terms of vocal personification but I honestly felt the costume/ make-up designer could've added a bit more to his look, like some wrinkles or even a little more cheek. He didn't quite look the part, but I agree he definitely sounded like Robin.
@@DemBigOlEyes You're right. He definitely could have looked more like Robin. I was just so happy that he got his mannerisms right that I overlooked the appearance.

Me, an idiot: Joan might win ERB: that aint it chief Me: wait wha..... Robin: GOOD MORNING MOVIE BOMBS!!!!!!! Me: .............ROBIN 100 % WINS HANDS DOWN
Funny Fact: Richard Pryor was near the mafia and the mob, He tried to rob them one day. He came in with a mask and said " Put the money in the bag!" And the entire area burst into laughter. The leader put his arm around Richard and said "Hahaha! Look at this kid right here! This kid is funny!" Or something along the lines of that. Just some funny story
Wait. You don't know who George Carlin is? I did not expect that. I think for starters, you can check out his take on *Keeping People Alert.* I love that one a lot. 😁
If it was just between Carlin vs Pryor then Carlin won. In the full battle Joan Rivers won because she landed the most punchlines on the other comedians. The others were explaining who they are for the audience.
In terms of this battle, Joan Rivers dominated just about everybody, Robin Williams nearly closed the gap, and as you said, George Carlin would've won if it was just him and Richard Pryor. Don't get me wrong, as much as I like Richard Pryor (still have "Live on the Sunset Strip" recorded on my DVR), I feel his lines were the weakest.
Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 A comedian known for his incorporation of euphemisms, the English language and how confusing it can be, and conspiracies into his standup routines. He passed in 2008. You might like him. I don’t agree with all his opinions, but I have to admit he DID have a point. Just as a heads up, though, he is not for the easily offended.
Love both of your reactions, especially to the Bill Cosby bit and the Robin Williams bit. Glad you don't pause the video every 5 seconds too. Keep doing you like this style. Love it!
Carlins line "Non stoppin brain droppin like my wits got the shit. So call this Pryor-rhea" I think is the most well thought out line in the whole battle
Seriously? George Carlin was the king of comedy! Richard Pryor wishes he was as good as George! But since they're going with the theme of dead comedians, I think they should've included Mitch Hedberg. I know Cosby isn't ACTUALLY dead, but he might as well be xD
The Bill Cosby one was just straight violation 😂😂😂😂💀
Hi guys
Jazz Can you play naruto ultimate ninja storm legacy
Yup
Pllzzz react to "US" Ter Melvin parody and I Love you guys❤
The battle of the late great comedians. I loved it. Robin Williams and Joan Rivers killed it.
I have two winners. Joan destroyed everyone who was already in the battle. And then Robin because he's Robin.
Kodoku Pierrot Pretty much
Couldn't said it better myself
I don't know Bill Cosby was pretty firw
I don't even know Joan Rivers and still think she killed it.
@@01cortomaltese bro that Tupperware line. If it hadn't been for Robin's mood reversal that line alone would be the most remembered thing

R.I.P robin he was amazing
Pretty light line on the surface. But saddening underneath. Tragically represents him well...
(Nice Derpy Hooves Pfp)
He imprisoned all of them in the bottle
I was sad when I realized Robin William’s line about “setting myself free” was actually about how he freed himself from depression. Rest in Peace, legend.
Pompey Parker makes me feel uneasy to give the reminder that everyone in this but Bill Cosby is dead
Its also a reference to his Genie personifaction since the battle started with him coming out of the lamp, he ended it by freeing himself from it.

@@DemBigOlEyes it was also a reference to him freeing himself from depression, since he died of suicide

“Gotta set myself free.” I feel like someone just nuked my feels.
I know. Just the fact he committed suicide really gives this line such a different meaning.
What? He...did that?

George Carlin fell off at 1962 that’s what robin williams was referring to that many thought about George Carlin and I’d say the same
"I'd attack you two first, but your hearts beat me to it!" Joan Rivers definitely won

Cosby got 'Knocked the F out' Joan Rivers carried until Robin Williams did the Mrs. Doubtfire skit in his bars.
Robin Williams won if you ask me rest in peace you god of comedy
Nazura95 ikr 😭
Robins last line wasn't just the bottle, but how he set himself free from his depression. Very great tribute but it got me a bit emotional
Robin setting himself free line left me in my feelings.
Damn, I felt disrespected when yall didnt know Carlin lol. Gonna need yall to react to some George lol.
Robin's last line is probably the only line in all of ERB history that made me sad more than anything else.
Joan Rivers and Robin Williams are both winners here. I think they did Bill Cosby wrong but they were accurate though.
Robin Williams takes the crown!!💯💯
Please react to some of George Carlin’s standup-bits. Really funny.

I love how they kept Robin clean as a whistle. They really honored his legacy. :)
That last line gets me all the time since Robin William's set himself free (suicide). Sad cause the man was a legend.

The saddest part of this new battle is the amount of viewers that dont know who these people are
Before I even started the video I was like there's no way these two are going to know who George Carlin is
Derik Knutson George Carlin was out there but sharp as hell. “Jammin’ in New York” is my favorite of his specials.
