If they ever took Muharam to a real concert somewhere he might cry real tears of joy. This man loves music.
I'd LOVE to go to a concert with Muharam. Wouldn't that be amazing to see his true love for the music?!
@@nikkienikkie4310 i'd come if it was nearby :D
big man would do a monty python omgosh im having a cardiac arrest 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ love you boys and girls
...and we love him because of it!!
Don't forget Mashoque! He has an appreciation for great musical talent. His reactions are just more subdued. I enjoy seeing his eyes light up with joy when he is delighted.
I love how excited Muharam gets especially with music. I'm a musician and this is exactly the same way I get when hearing great music. He has great insight.
I think that Abdul Aziz, the older gentleman in the turban, is truly the most thoughtful when he’s listening. He has said a few time that he is totally illiterate but he’s extremely wise when he’s speaking which has nothing to do with literacy. He reminds me of my beautiful parents-in-law who are Yashkun from the Kashmir, another minority living under the Pakistani government. They’re also totally illiterate but so wise. All their children, both sons and daughters are all educated to having Masters degrees. Their children were told that the parents would work to give them all the education which they’d never have as they believed that literacy would bring their children a better future and financial stability, and they have done that now.
He is amazing
I like his response to Black Sabbath where he says when you die, God will ask "do you know Satan?". "What does he look like?" No, it is not Satan, but you who have done evil. Don't blame Satan. This is a very wise thing to say about the politicians the band is referencing. I would like to meet him.
As every parent ever.
if I were living in his village he would be the one i would be looking for for advice
He reads human beings like a book. His wisdom is profound
and unsullied by literacy. He speaks from his soul. He sings.
Those gentlemen just witnessed one of the greatest guitar duets in rock history. They also got to debate the meaning of a song that people have been analyzing since it was released in the 1970’s. Great reaction!
Bob Ross hehe! I only wish Bob could know how loved he is by our group of friends on this channel ♥
What an absolute treat to see this through their eyes.
I hope everyone at Trybals is doing ok in the heatwave!
I especially love hearing the the wise interpretations and comments from the perspective of Abdul. He sees thing very clearly. God Bless you all at Trybals.
Music and food, love and respect will bring peace on Earth.
Listening to the Elder Abdul explaining about the purposes of mirrors on the ceiling 😳🤣 I had to run it back. The Elder is very wise indeed 😊
The dual guitars at the end make it worth the wait.🤩🤩
WE CAN'T GO WITHOUT LOVING THESE PEOPLE AND ADMIRE THEIR INTELLIGENT SENSIVITY !
❤❤❤
It is always a deep pleasure to watch your channel !
As always, Mr Abdul has MY WHOLE HEART. All of the gentlemen enjoyed this and seem very honest in their reactions. FANTASTIC with your translations and explanations. Love this content.
the muscles of the mouth and the ones controlling small movements in your fingers are controlled by areas next to each other in the brain, this is why your mouth sometimes move when you do something difficult with your hands.
Guitar face/Bass face/O face -🤣🤣🤣
Yep. This explains why Michael Jordan famously stuck out his tongue when he performed his magic on the basketball court. He says he copied it from his dad, who did it when working on cars, but i think your explanation is the real one.
Video game face😂😂😂
I do the opposite. My fingers sometimes move without me being conscious of it due to my thoughts at the time. It almost looks like I'm using an invisible typewriter. 😮
@@samsmom1491 I just need that repetitive little jolt, even if it is just my big toe rubbing against the other foot..
I've had a terrible week, but your video just shook all those blues away. Now I'm off to watch how Kashmir went over.
Seven Bridges Road is my favorite Eagles' song. It really showcases their vocal harmonies.
My interpretation of the song is that it's about addiction of some type: A man traveling through a dead land (desert) is tired and looking for relief from hardship (tiredness). Then he sees what he thinks he's looking for, but it turns out to be a trap he can never escape from.
The story parallels what happens to those who become addicted. Addicts have a problem they want to solve or treat with drugs, sex, etc. They think it's something that will help them solve a problem, but it becomes worse problem in the end.
Amazing how meaning changes with time and context. The expression “of your own device” long predates cell phones. It means making your own choices without someone controlling you. (But the cell phone read is interesting!)
Yeah the original expression "of your own device" is less about a physical device, and more about how you have devised or are responsible for the circumstances you are in.
In this case, it can be taken either way.
@@herbpowell343 Or both. In 2024 it's probably both.
Strangely this is partly why we seek out people like them. They live a daily life of values we have lost or forgotten.
Yes! I was thinking the same. We have lost something special in our modern world. Love these guys
...his head grew heavy an his eyes grew dim ..

💥BUDS💥..
I love the comment, "Are they doing romance?" It's so palpable the depth of their connection that their harmony is easily read as a passion. Not for each other necessarily, but that core love that is apparent when lost on making music.
Now that you mentioned Linda Ronstadt indicating she founded the band, both Glenn Fry and Don Henley were in Linda's band before they branched out on their own as the Eagles. You should show them a video of Linda Ronstadt performing live she is phenomenal and a super star in her own right.
💯
Blue Bayou is a heart wrenching song of hers. Another great artist was Roy Orbison…Pretty Woman.
Hard to believe she was soprano on a Phillip Glass album too
the stoney ponies
Didn't Don Henry & Fry help her do the arrangement for
"Desparado" ?
Beautiful. You don't have to catch up. We (U.S.) need to go back. Back to truth and reality and heart and art. Your videos help us do that. Keep up the great work.
THIS!!!
Agree!
absolutely..
The Eagles is my favourite group of all time, plus I’m old enough to remember when this song was first released! Thank you gentlemen for your profound interpretations of the lyrics and obvious joy as you watched the guitarists appear to joust. It is always a pleasure to listen to you and learn about your own culture.
I am 46 now, but grew up driving around with my dad in his blue work van. He gave me a deep love of all the GREATS from this time period and I am SO GLAD he did. He knew the HEART sisters really well. They were raised in the same city as him with their mom. He would go and see them and hang out with them in dive bars when they were FIRST on the music scene in Washington state.
My husband always teases me.."how do u know THIS song, how do you know THAT song"?.
My reply is always "this is when music was GREATNESS "!
I'm doing my job...i found my 17 year old daughter has a whole Playlist of this stuff!!
I’ve always been told that “Hotel California” is about drugs and how once you get hooked on them, you’re stuck. Like the lyrics say, you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Addiction isn’t easy, it gets a hold on you. That’s the hotel California impacts.
@@marieneu264 I also think it has a double meaning. When they say check out, they literally mean suicide too. Everything from addiction, and suicide, that line you can check out but you can never leave. That's directly related to depression. As a therapist, and struggling with depression in my own right, I double understand these meanings.
Because of the line "prisoners of our own device" I always thought it was a reference to life itself...and re incarnation. Checking out meaning taking ones own l fe. You come back.
But the drug association works well. I guess thats the power of great (inspired) art: layered meaning.
It’s about a cult out here in Los Angeles. If you know, you know
Or hedonism of sudden wealth
Wrong kids
Abdul takes everything in and analyzes it methodically. He's cool.
The older gentleman has the most intensely thoughtful stare I’ve ever seen
Exactly- pure wisdom and feels almost every song, even when not excited about every song. I love to meet all these wonderful men one day .
Because he listens intently. We should all be so wise to hear what others are saying before expressing our opinions.
Thèse showed up in my feed today…I’ve spent the better part of my Saturday watching these wonderful, amazing men! I love their reactions! So genuine and delightful!
That guitar solo gives me chills
Haunting...
I've been a guitar player for over 40 yrs, keep playing amigo, you've got the touch of emotion in your sound and that's the part you either have or you don't. Now all you need is practice. By practice I mean years of singing alone at night in the backyard where none can hear and you let it out.
Cirice! That song has some of my favorite riffs, good playing Adnan! I’m glad you’re all listening to Hotel California, one of my favorite songs of all time.
Thank you ❤️
I was JUST coming to say this, Ghost is one of my favorite bands of the last 5 years (I'm a 53 year old metalhead so duh!), and my jaw dropped when Adnan started playing that riff! Love it!
@@BuxarooBanzai same! I about fell out of my chair when he played that riff! I’d have never imagined that Ghost would have fans in Pakistan!
Lol, thank you 😊🤗❤️🌹
Mr Sir, the more I watch your programs/video's, the more I can feel the depth of it. Sincerely respect to you and the yours. And especially to the 'old man'( my age ) who is so calm and inside so joyfull. Love for all of you in the name of God.
Wish you all could take a trip to America! How fun to show you all a concert!🎵 🎶
Totally!
I really enjoyed their satisfaction and reactions to PC performance , the band and the music . These tribal people are so cool and calm . I seen them react before and what surprised me was how positively they react even at their age to Western music.
Man do I love Abdul. The guy has lived in a remote place all his life, he has no chance to fully understand something like Hotel California's lyrics, but he is still able to get everything he possibly can.
You just read out the first part of the song to him and, while his interpretation is not on point (yet again, with his knowledge I don't think anyone could have done better), he still sensed there was a trap.
That being said, I think it was misleading from you to give them the modern interpretation of being prisoners of our "devices", that was interesting too but they deserve to know the original meaning of the song.
No criticisms from me on the way this reaction was conducted. I am just pleased to see other cultures enjoying what is a classic song to Americans and the western world.
I love how the music is making them want to move, They may not know what the song says, but a good rift and song can move anyone. And this one is one of the best.
I have no idea how I ended up here but I am glad I did. A fascinating insight, that shows to me that at heart, we are all the same.
I love that Ghost riff you played for the fellows. Very nice, I hope you keep playing.
Glad they appreciated it! I think Chacha is right that the song is talking about a brothel/pleasure house type of place, but I think they're using that as a metaphor for life in general
Beautiful song, and interesting interpretations of it. I think the songs that are nuanced are really difficult to understand in another culture, but they get Hotel California. Thanks, and I wish everyone a great weekend.😊
Although many people interpret this song as being about drugs, I believe it conveys something much broader. Human nature drives us to pursue pleasure, yet paradoxically, we often become ensnared by our own desires.
And can't kill it no matter how hard we try. I agree. It's an existential song.
Exactly!
Fascinating to listen those old man talking about the spirit of the music 👍 and talking about experienced life and everything around music 🎶 🙏
I've had this album since it came out. "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave" is one of the best rock & roll lyrics ever. Enjoy! 😎
At the end Glenn Frye and Joe Walsh are literally having a guitar duel. No losers here!
it's Don Felder and Joe Walsh. Glenn was playing the acoustic guitar
@@Tumbleweed_Tx You're correct. I was having a senior moment.
And rocking a killer mustache 👌
In light of all the allegations and predatory nature of Hollywood; this song perfectly reflects all of it while leaving so many events and names erased. There’s such a dark and remorse nature to the song that any nation could realize from it; even with the beauty of the composition. Truly one of the best rock songs ever made.
I was impressed they gleaned the nature of the song even before the translation.
Loved seeing you’re reactions! You gentlemen are amazing❤. I’ve seen the Eagles twice in live concert and they are indeed amazing. Love from Texas USA!
I just love how open you all are all of the time. Peace be with you. ❤️❤️✌️
Again, #Abdul❤. Great job editing this one, Lowering their voices during music play was great. Peace/JT
man i love everything about this. all of their prospectives and their own love and understanding in music was a joy to watch.
I loved watching your excitement and your interpretation of the meaning of the song
I find Abdul's thought process compelling and insightful. Your videos are very good and the rest of your team are just great. I look forward to their viewpoints and observations.
I think the old man might understand the meaning of the song better than most. In a way he seems to be taking it very literally, but that literalism actually captures the metaphor better than describing the metaphor could.
These commentaries are amazing. We have three gentlemen from significantly different Eastern cultures expressing their impressions as they listen to the music. Their views are so un-Western, a good thing, and authentic and sincere. Totally appreciated this.
Since they seem to really like the Harmony in this song, there is another song by The Eagles that you have to let them hear it's called Seven Bridges road. It really showcases their harmonizing abilities
I think it’s so beautiful how music brings the world together in this way
Cirice by Ghost SPOTTED! Nice, you have great taste. 😊
Thanks! 😊
You should play the video of Cirice for them. I’d love to see & hear their reactions.
I didn't see it mentioned that the song was mostly written by Don Felder the guy with the two-neck guitar. Don Henley wrote the lyrics. The song is actually about the party drug culture in California. You can "Check out" any time you like is about getting high. The "You can never leave" is that once you are addicted to the life it stays with you.
By the way, they seem to love great harmonies. They should see some songs by "The Band". Levon Helm sings and plays drums as well but the harmonies in that band are incredible
Yeah Ive always thought the lyrics 'they stab it with their steely knives but they just can't kill the beast' is about shooting up with something but always wanting more
@@candacebarrington1448actually that line was a stab at Steely Dan , who was an admirer of them.
Device also means a plot, story, plan or method or effect. "Prisoners of our own device" means prisoners of our own making. That the lyric became somewhat applicable to what we all call "a device" is another twist of the measure of the timelessness of this song. The lyrics can be applied to anything in life itself. For me that's what Hotel California is - it's the life we create.
👍
Eagles are fantastic, this is my wife's favorite song!
They need to hear the a cappella song Seven Bridges Road by the Eagles…well mostly a capella. I think there’s guitar music about halfway through
This is amazing. Watching these tribal men listening to classic rock, enjoying it and having meaningful conversations. It just goes to show that good music is truly universal.
At the end of the song, it's the masters chamber but they stab the beast but cannot kill it.
These men understood more than most even without a translation! That shows 2 things. They are very observant, and the artists got the meaning across in the music. This song is both beautiful and scary.
What a great interpretation of this song that means so much to so many. "You can check in but never leave..." These men have such soul. I always concentrate on the Abdul Aziz the oldest one. He is so focused on the music. I keep my eye out for your videos.
Please play for them Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou". Now they know the era she came from and the grand group she knew, it would mean even more to them.
it is pretty incredible that Muharam knew what a guitar romance is, as that is basically what they were doing. A back and forth between guitars
Drummer looks like " Bob Ross", that's so funny !
And the guitar solos look harder than those typewriters in court! hahaha
I absolutely respect the beard guy
shalom!
...oh wait, what is the key word?
Love every second of this video!!!!! Great explanation and all their thoughs. What a great song as well. Greatest harmonizing guitars ever!!!!
It does not matter where you were born, or raised, these gentlemen had the same comments that every other furst tome listener to this song says. "The singing drummer." "The melodic music in the beginning." The guitar duet at the end was amazing. " Thank you gentlemen!
A lot of people interpreted this song as a drug reference, you can "check out" any time you like, but you can never leave the addiction. It kind of fits, but the band has denied it having anything to do with drugs.
If they likw the hair on that guy, then show them the lead singer for Kansas- Carry On Wayward Son. Great song, but that guy could be stunt double for bigfoot.
Don said, it seems recently that this song was about the lure of "Hollywood," more specifically fame. It really makes sense to me now.
That’s Robbie Steinhardt. He wasn’t the lead singer, but your Bigfoot comparison is spot-on! RIP to Robbie.
wise man abdul you have the skills most dont that come from recital and oral history 🎉❤
the song is about the loss of innocence something you can not get back. Glenn Fry said
prisoners of "their own devices" definitely meant they are prisoners of their own self-made issues, like vices for example
Perfect band for these gentlemen to react too .always a joy too see their reactions.👏😊
These guys know Bob Ross. I used to be amazed at watching his show. The way he spoke while painting was very entertaining.
First time on your channel I am a French Canadian and just love your channel with your guests...I could watch and listen to you guys for hours. You are all awesome. I enjoyed seeing this reaction so much. The wisdom in working out the meaning of the words allowed me to see the old song in a new light. Many thanks to all of your from Eastern Ireland.
Love your fantastic videos, want to check out more. Travelled all my life, always wanted to hear and see from other perspectives and that was the time when there were no mobiles, just you and who you stumbled upon and then memory to remember the moment. This is a gem of a film to see for the first time how one reacts to Hotel California. Music is so universal, it gets you in the heart no matter where in the world you come from. And it connects you to everyone. Brilliant footage.

The guitar solo got them all swaing! 😊😊
Sweet! I was 16 on a date 1st time i heard hotel California! Awsome night ill never forget and this sing had a part in it!

omg! i love the diversity of opinion and character in these 3, especially Yellow Turban man.. he's been to a few Hotel California's in his lifetime👌🏽🤣
"Even if someone has no flour at home, they'll buy a smartphone instead."-- sad but true.
03:43 "Still Loving You" by the Scorpions.
It gives me hope for the future of our planet if many cultures are becoming more able to enjoy and appreciate each others art and music. I really hope it is so.
Am I alone in wanting to see Abdul smile. Such an interesting looking man. Respectful focus.
As far as good human beings go, you are far more advanced than many. Blessings to you Sirs
As was implied at the beginning, this song can have many interpretations. Some say it's about drugs, others say it's about a celeb lifestyle. It could be about being trapped by commercialism. It could be a horror story. Heck, it could be about giving in to the Dark Side of the Force (forever will it dominate your path). Any or all of those thing could be valid depending on who and where you are in your life. This is the hallmark of great art.
Good for you taking up guitar! Learning to play an instrument takes practice. I never had the patience for it, so I have a sound system at home to listen to others play. Someone has to be the fan, right?
Another great reaction by the group.
I always love these! gives me new perspectives on how different cultures live, feel and think.
Love these guys, so honest. Love to see them want to move to the music.
"Of our own device", here, means of their own methods, plans, habits, lifestyles, etc. In other words, they are prisoners to, or because of, the way they live.
100%
Oh, I can't wait to hear this! I LOVE the Eagles! The only thing better would be the group BREAD. The song "If" especially. I would so love to hear them respond to Bread. But Eagles is in my top favorites.
Looking forward to watching this! I love your unique take on music, so I'm looking forward to this! Enjoy!
Great reaction everyone!
Lured by Temptations, is how I always describe this song.
The Eagles band members are great artists individually and even better when collaborating together.
My Dad played their albums in the house all the time as I was growing up.
I don't know what I expected to hear when that guy picked up a guitar, but it wasn't Ghost
Adnan, you allways offer a very good explenation of what they will listen. Nice job.
This was really interesting and entertaining. What a great find. Thanks for sharing your discussion.
Never saw the guitarist so closely. Thanks for this reaction video.
I love these guys, and to hear their take on such a song, one with so many possibilities for interpretation, is fascinating, and probably more accurate than most western people's interpretation of it.
"He looks like Bob Ross."
I love these guys.
I love the appreciation they have for music
I've always taken the meaning of Hotel California in a very different way. To me, it means this guy is traveling down the road through life, the road literally representing his life. He got tired, so he stopped at this hotel for the night. The hotel itself is extremely seductive, as evidenced by the woman standing in the doorway. She is there to entice people to come into the hotel. He was unsure of this place, unsure of whether it's heaven or hell, good or bad. Maybe she represents Linda Ronstadt. Because she lit up the candle and showed him the way into what became their future, The Eagles. To me, the hotel itself represents the State of California. California Can Be Heaven to some, but it is hell to others. Some find success and happiness, some find no success but are still happy, some find success and it ruins their lives and their very Souls. Therefore, it's heaven to some and hell to others. He follows her in further into this hotel. And he hears the voices in the corridors welcoming him to such a lovely place. They're telling him there's plenty of room here in California, and whatever you're looking for any time of year, you can find it here in California.
He talks about her twisted mind and how she has all these different men around her but tells him they're just friends. He's watching everyone in the courtyard dancing. Some are dancing with joy at the memories, and some are dancing with sorrow, trying to forget the memories. He asks for someone to bring him his wine, and the person replies we haven't had that spirit in here since 1969. This is a double meaning referencing spirits like alcohol but I think it's also referencing Woodstock, which took place in 1969. And he said still those voices are calling from far away. I imagine this to be a reference to all the musicians at Woodstock. (However, Woodstock did not take place in California, so I could be wrong in my analogy there. Like I said, this is just what the song says to me).
Mirrors on the ceiling and pink champagne on ice. I think this may be a reference to drugs and alcohol because drugs like cocaine and other drugs that you sniff through your nose, they are typically chopped up on a mirror. The mirror could also be a reference to Ego and and the narcissistic need to present yourself in a certain way that will make people like you even if that which you present is not truly Who You Are; the mirror could represent the facade or the fakeness of california. How beautiful it is in appearance and how corrupt and disgusting it can be just below what it appears to be. She says to him we are all just prisoners here of our own device. That device can refer to contracts that they've signed, addictions that they've picked up, even relationships that keep them bound to California. In the Masters Chambers, they gathered for the feast they stab it with their stealing knives, but they just can't kill the beast. I think the master and his chamber would be a reference to certain Executives and their offices where musicians will sign these Ironclad contracts, and, especially back then, they pretty much owned them after that. It granted these executives ownership rights of Musicians music. Stabbing it with their steely knives might be a reference to trying to get out of a contract that can't be killed AKA canceled. Last thing I remember I was running for the door had to find the passage back to the place I was before. This may be a reference to musicians and other entertainers trying to find their way back to the person they were before they came to California and became famous because that Fame is often a prison for the famous person. They are expected to act in a certain way to speak in a certain way to vote in a certain way, etcetera, etcetera. With that Fame often came drug alcohol and sexual addictions. To me, trying to find the passage back to the place he was before would be trying to escape all that he became so that he can find his way back to the person he once was before all the fame. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. Again, I think this is a reference to Ironclad contracts that keep these people enslaved to their executive Masters. In the United States the words check out can have a double meaning. It can mean you're checking out of a motel or a can mean you're checking out of life permanently. Taking one's own life. Basically saying you can check out, but we still own your butt..
After you're dead, we will still be making money off of you and you will still be here because your music, movies, books (whatever it was this person did in life) will still be here LONG after they are gone
So much fun to watch:) thank you
I really feel love for Abdul.. Something about him I really like.. This song has been my favorite since it was my very first vinyl!
