Monster guitarist,singer/songwriter and 2 things that are really impressive about him:1).he rarely uses a pick anymore,I believe he plays fingerstyle in this entire concert and 2).he gets such a massive tone,using only that tiny pedalboard,a wah pedal and his guitar and tube amp.
I saw him a couple of falls ago in a small club and he had a Bogner head with two 1x12 cabs stacked on top of each other and we were maybe 20 feet from his rig and it was LOUD. But his control and tone is all in those hands. He's truly amazing.
I don't know any of the correct terms, but I DO know excellent music/musicians when I hear them. I read he stretched his fingers for over a year, created that pedal himself..... I love this particular band. My lil 2 cents. ✌🏼👂🏻
