His solo catalog is deep, then I find out he did a project with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden (Smith/Kotzen) that is amazing.
Just loved this show from beginning to end ever since I first saw it on UA-cam, 2023. My lovely son bought it for me and it came autographed! What a treasure! This music is cosmically recorded. Humanity will be jamming to this forever.

Richie...I am 62 years old and have listened to everything musically and I can say hands down this is the BEST concert I have ever listened to! Amazing!
apparently 3.8 million people have found richie before me. that's one good thing about being old, playing for 50 years, i still can find amazing artists that are new to me. the world still holds surprises even at this late stage...
You and me both, brother. I just discovered him a couple years ago. I went to see him here in Minneapolis a little over a year ago and he was playing a Winery Dog gig. I drug my 60 year old ass down there and jumped and danced all night long. Then I drug my weary ass home and stayed in bed the next day but boy was it worth. I'm looking forward to the next time he comes to Mpls, whether he plays with the two above or The Winery Dogs. I'm there. Damn coranovirus!

Sometimes only headphones are too much... I'm sad. Have fun if you still can. :-)

I watch this like once twice a week!! The playing and singing is superb and the audio quality is about the best you can get.. fricken fantastic!.. been a Kotzen fan for a long time, so so so underrated. I love to spread the Gospel about this guy.
+Kyle Hartle Not to mention the video production from this show is spectacular. Kudos to those working the cameras and doing the editing. This performance is a masterpiece all around. I watch it often, too.
I just heard this band for the first time and I’m absolutely blown away. I’m not sure what I like most. Richie’s guitar playing or his vocals! Each are equally stellar.
Here i am. Rock bottom. This has been my saving grace, for years. It hurts but feels appropriate. I can't describe it.. at all. Blessings and love to you all.
He reminds me of the Dutch musician, Anneke Van Giersbergen and Canadian musician Devin Townsend because they are mega talented musicians but very, very underrated musicians. Anneke Van Giersbergen only plays basic guitar and mostly acoustic guitar but her vocals and songwriting in the multiple genres that she has done in nearly 3 decades is off the charts even though she never was on the popular charts. Devin Townsend and Ritchie Kotzen are great guitarists and great vocalists and songwriters but never got recognized as well in the mainstream. Ritchie got some recognition while briefly with Poison but his solo stuff completely blows away anything that Poison did, especially the music of Poison before Ritchie. Devin Townsend got his start with being a vocalist in Steve Vai's band and then did Strapping Young Lad and eventually the Devin Townsend Project but it never got much press even though it is awesome music.

He has a good rock voice , kind of reminds me of a mix between Robert Plant and Chris Cornell or something. To sing that good live and at the same time play lead guitar as the only guitarist in the band and make it sound this good is not something to sneeze at either. Thumbs up!
Definitely one of the very underrated guitar players in the World, that deserves attention. Top players of the decade for sure and what a great vocal!!!
Agreed and definitely more underrated as a complete musician-singer/songwriter. The man has released over 20 Studio albums with most catering to a different music genre. Not many artists can pull that off these days.

64 yr old guy here been loving rock n roll since I got LedZep III cassette for Christmas back in 72 or whenever it was released and play a little guitar myself. My favorite rock guitarists range from Buck Dharma, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray etc. Didn't think at this point anything could blow my mind....but this guy did. Ritchie Kotzen is definitely on a different level. And the bass/drums awesome.
Yes Sir I know he blew your mind. He did me as well. His work with Poison is so underrated. Ritchie is a virtuoso player on the highest level! It doesn't hurt that he can sing like Chris Cornell(rip)!
The thing with Kotzen is not that he is such a virtuoso guitar player but his songs musical arrangements, lyrics and his vocal performance are also second to none. To excel in just one of those things is plenty, to excel in all, unique.

This is just pure awesome. Stellar sound mixing, great videography, and top-flight musicianship. And it's all very simple - just three people on stage with their instruments. There are no backup singers to give Richie a break, and there's no synthesizers, no drum loops, no auto-tune. It's as pure as a mountain spring in Iceland. But this simple, no-frills production sounds better than most artists do after they've been wrung within an inch of their lives in the studio by an army of producers. Can we get more of this in our lives, please?
Agree with you 100%! The simpler the recipe, the more reliant on great ingredients. The shortcuts (AutoTune, backing tracks, ProTools, etc) make everyone expect every performance to "sound just like the record". But those same tools level the playing field by making mediocre players sound decent - but they squash the uniqueness out of those who have put in the work. IMO live music should really be about how those players are feeling that song in that moment - a conversation with the crowd and the moment, which should necessarily be a bit different every time. Otherwise, just stay home and listen to the record - you'll pay a LOT less for beers and parking.
As much as Ritchie and the guys are superb, kudos must go to the production crew. The sound quality and the brilliant close ups of the guys playing their instruments, especially Ritchie, lifts this recording to the next level. No wonder it has 6M+ plus views. My favourite UA-cam music video by far!
This one is top....but right under it is Black Country Communion ...Live over Europe. Glen Hughes... Joe Bonamassa Jason Bonham Derek Sherinian. It's truly incredible.
Richie is such a king!!!
And you are the prince of guitar

I was in the same boat a little over a year ago. Random Winery Dogs video comes on and I’m like “who is this guy, how have I never heard of him?” I’ve been playing catch up ever since. His solo catalog is deep, then I find out he did a project with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden (Smith/Kotzen) that is amazing.
I am 49....and I just discovered this amazing artist ! Will spend 49 years listening to this hero !!
I used to watch Ritchie in a
Band called Arthur’s Museum playing in Bars when was 16 ! I was blown away.
61 and here in 2021 just now discovering... Fantastic Musicality! Amazing voice and chops!
Anyone else watches this everyday?
Sure the f do!
Richie is the majority of what's on my channel.....he grounds me.
You got that right.....he's my favorite guitarist and vocalist.....bass player and drummer aint to bad either.
The guitar! The voice! The soul! Homie is unreal.
Just loved this show from beginning to end ever since I first saw it on UA-cam, 2023. My lovely son bought it for me and it came autographed! What a treasure! This music is cosmically recorded. Humanity will be jamming to this forever.
Nicely put. Enjoy.
I never heard of Richie Kotzen before I found this about a months ago. I have watched this repeatedly since then. It is so bloody good and I don't know how I didn't hear of him before. Bloody awesome!
im were you were a month ago :)
@Capt Fathom yeah I read that a few weeks ago that he was in them. I hated poison though so never paid attention to the line up. :D
Look up his album Fever Dream from when he was in his early 20's. Fucking amazing. I've been a musician for over 30 years and I say Richie is the greatest musician ever.

Who else watches this in a weekly basis ? I've done this since 2017! Amazing performance, musicality, and tone! Thanks, Richie!
Weekly? No exaggeration, I'm at 4-5 days a week. Shit's epic.
lamentavelmente venho de descobrir esta maquina agora.... estou encantado como não acontecia ha uns 20anos
had to buy the dvd ... it's so awesome!
A few of me are catching it a few times a day.
And the new to me hasn't begun to wear off.
Where in the F@CK have I been. I just stumbled across this amazing artist and fell into a whole other world of music! So glad I did.
Same thing. I've heard about him long time ago, but never really listened anything from him. His voice reminds alot of Chris Cornell
jaja, pensaba lo mismo.

The Best, excellent guitar technique, excellent voice, excellent composition, complete musician, nothing but admire, great ... my respects richie...and thanks
Seriously?! No comments about the bass player, he is insane, he drives the band so well and supports the amazing talents of the guitarist, this band would not be the same if he wasn't there!!
Agreed!
You' re right man
no doubt...and his bass tone is the bollocks
Dylan Wilson is supreme
the bass and drum jam was fucking incredible
I bet there aren't 4 concerts on video that I can watch all the way through. I've watched this one at least a dozen times. His guitar playing is genius, his voice is raw power, and he lays it all out . I'm in.
I just now figured out that he plays without a pick. It explains so much about his unique sound and shred. One of the GOATs right here.
Definitely one of the best concerts on youtube....
Who are the 2 other guys?
Jesus & the Holy Spirit

Just found this!! Unbelievable !! So great !!

That Voice! That Guitar! That Bass! Those Drums! Magical!
Wish I discovered them sooner!
Stumbled upon this and wow! The guitar tone! The vocals! Absolutely some of the finest blues rock I've ever heard.
Richie...I am 62 years old and have listened to everything musically and I can say hands down this is the BEST concert I have ever listened to! Amazing!
Wet behind the ears, right?
@@alwaysopen7970 I wish that were true...lol...That would give me some extra years to listen to these guys!
Yo tengo 64 y estoes una maravilla!!
apparently 3.8 million people have found richie before me. that's one good thing about being old, playing for 50 years, i still can find amazing artists that are new to me. the world still holds surprises even at this late stage...
@@syneca69 You're 60 and you can go to concerts ? You are lucky. I'm 60 too and I went to see every rock/metal band I could, but it's been 10 years now that I can't go anymore, my ears don't want anymore, they had too much noise in my life. Sometimes only headphones are too much... I'm sad.
Have fun if you still can. :-)
Same! 59...been playing guitar 47 years, but this guy is something else!
@@syneca69 LOL you rock man, best regards from sweden!
@@pitfrr I'm sad too. One of my favorite things to do at this age is going to a concert. I had tickets to see Greta Van Fleet last year out of state but my plans fell through. I'm going to see them at some point in my life. My favorite to see is Chrissie Hyndes. I live in Minneapolis but I traveled to Arizona and Wisconsin to see her. I can't wait for the concerts to start up and again!
Been listening to Ritchie lots lately. Cant believe I missed out on this gem of music for all my life.
I was this day old when I discovered Richi Kotzen!
Richie has it all, extrem talent guitarist, phenomenal song writer and a excellent singer, this is so good that i don't find any word for it 🎸
I just heard this band for the first time and I’m absolutely blown away. I’m not sure what I like most. Richie’s guitar playing or his vocals! Each are equally stellar.
Here i am. Rock bottom. This has been my saving grace, for years. It hurts but feels appropriate. I can't describe it.. at all. Blessings and love to you all.
one of the most talented musicians on the planet. great vocalist, and such a tasty guitar player.

Thumbs up!
I was thinking Prince/Chris Cornell
a TRUE artist : no chat GPT generated lyrics or guitar parts, no alterated Auto tune vocals : authentic talent from soul to fretworks !!!!
🗿🍷
For those asking and wondering bassist Dylan Wilson and drummer Mike Bennett
Man, this is brilliant - David Coverdale comes to my mind. Does anyone have a songlist for this performance ?
Definitely one of the very underrated guitar players in the World, that deserves attention. Top players of the decade for sure and what a great vocal!!!
truth!
Agreed and definitely more underrated as a complete musician-singer/songwriter. The man has released over 20 Studio albums with most catering to a different music genre. Not many artists can pull that off these days.
@@c.mandrews3290True talent not just another social media sensation doing some cover or one hot wonder. BIG respect to Mr. Ritchie for creating such a great, real music over the years, but also being top underated guitar players in the World.

Majestic!!!! I just discovered him now. So many sensivity it's beautiful. The band also is really good all together! It's delicius to my ears.
Thank God I clicked on this....
I think i have watched this in its entirety at least 40 times now. Its phenomenal.
Even me
@@saumyaruprana6246 One more here
The thing with Kotzen is not that he is such a virtuoso guitar player but his songs musical arrangements, lyrics and his vocal performance are also second to none. To excel in just one of those things is plenty, to excel in all, unique.
Oh Lordy that voice, that tone, all with those skills. No words.🤯

Start to finish the best live concert I’ve ever seen. Drooling over this dudes vocals, guitar skills, and song writing in general.
he reminds me of chris cornell ♡
What if we mix Chris Cornell's voice with Joe Satriani's fingers?
YOU GET Mr. RICHIE KOTZEN.
Come again to Argentina my friend! We are waiting you!! You rock man!
Does Richie sound a lot like Chris Cornell ??, or is it just me?
First time hearing him sing and I am blown away to say the least!!!
My first reaction as well. I can imagine him singing title song for next James Bond movie.
I have always thought
Yeah and Glenn Hughes and that is rare indeed!
What a musician Ritchie is! Love his vocals and guitar skills, and of course his style
I heard about Richie a few years back, a musician friend asked me to check out The Winery Dogs! I was so blown away by the musicianship in this band! Then I keep finding more and more stuff from Richie! He has chops and plays so flavorful, and that friggin voice is amazing! Also a great song writer! More people need to know about this amazing talent, spread the word about Richie Kotzen. I am
Don’t spread the word too much, I want to see him in small venues not arenas. Lol
I found this show about three years ago. I still listen/watch it at least a couple of times a week. They are all monster players.
Me too is good to watch every hour amazing show!
So so excited-- I get to see a Richie Kotzen show in Berkeley in August! Last year I stumbled on the greatness of Richie Kotzen on YT. Ever since I have been listening and watching this video weekly. Awesome distinctive, musical talent-- song writer, guitarist and more, vocalist, and performer.
Lucky guy, must've been before the pandemic, huh.
Richie is a fucking legend can’t believe I didn’t discover him earlier 🎉
The whole band is awesome. Think I've watched this a billion times.
One of the more underrated guitarists of our time
and vocals.
He should be on top charts.. amazing! Even the live sounds like studio recording.. and the camera work is dope. Damn this guy is no less than any of the legend singers living or dead
Wow. Shame on me for not listening to Richie Kotzen before. Absolutely shreds on guitar sings like Chris Cornell. Absolutely amazing
He could make a tribute to Chris,,,,it would be amazing!! Come to Brazil!!
I find drifting off is the usual for me. Incredible talent but his songwriting is ehhh

What an exceptional musician. One of the best live concerts. Great songs, super singer and stunning guitarist🎸🎵
I think I've spent more time with Richie & the boys, just in the last month, than thier own family have 😂🤩😂
Yea, back again 💞🎶🇬🇧💯💞
This may be the best video on you tube
no maybe
A stunning performance. This one will stand the test of time. Richie is criminally underrated & always has been. This whole band is.
Not many can kill it on guitar and kill it on vocals. Meniketti, Sammy, and a very few others. Richie tears it up!
No words would do it justice!
A simply ridiculously good show. Trio domination! And to sing that good live. Amazing 👌🏻
Haven't heard a tighter live rock sound in a while.
Really cool Show, amazing production, superb quality! Cheers!
The best live gig on youtube. Listenting it 4 years now!
