Yep! MDT has a metal 12 rounder too but I didn't want to come across as pretentious! Lol! Seems some don't care for the looks but I don't think it's half bad? At least this set-up works!
That rifle is not my cup of tea my friend, but I thumbed it up and let the video play till the end while a took a shit! Hope that helps your analytics.
I hated to let it go but I wasn't able to solve the magazine issue! I've been unable to find new ones for quite some time. Since Remingtons bankruptcy it's probably not going to happen. I tried the new HS Precision bottom metal set-up on my other 223 PSS that originally had the hinged floor plate. Spent some time adjusting the magazine feed lips but it works decent. Very, very expensive! Cost more just for the HS Precision bottom metal than the entire MDT chassis. I'll keep the old stock in case I change my mind.
I just got my ORYX chassis for my TikKa T3 X .223. I wish I had seen this video before installing it. Unlike yours, my boLT would not clear the cheek rest. I modified The cheek rest with a Dremel tool though. I can’t imagine, this has not already come up before.
I don’t have anything good to say about that stock. Question ; did you try as hard to solve this magazine seating issue as you did to solve the AR10 function issue?
I've tried a number of times and wasn't able to see what I needed to change or fix to solve the issue. I've seen where others have complained about it over the years and it's just a design problem. The only option would be to replace the bottom metal. HS Precision still makes an upgrade for the original stock but just the bottom metal is more $$$ than the entire new chassis was. The new chassis is like a fine wine where the old HS Precision stock is like a warm can of beer! Lol!
@@peteregger7928 no part of the old stock was out spec causing interference with the magazine? No problem that a metal file , or carefully wielded Dremel could have fixed?
I had already notched the bottom metal to make room for the bolt release on the Jewel trigger where it was rubbing. The bottom metal on this year model had a narrower dimension than most later Remingtons that could also except the wider trigger housing design. Didn't want to do anymore to it that couldn't be undone. I'll be keeping the old stock in case I change my mine or find a more affordable bottom metal option than the HS Precision upgrade stuff. The way the ORYX looks doesn't bother me at all. The real bonus is that it works!@@ordinaryman1904
Looks Like You Also Went Up in Magazine Capacity From 5 -10 Rds With the New Magazine and Chassis Pete 😀👍🏼

Ha! Ha! Must be the upcoming eclipse doing something?
@@peteregger7928 the last eclipse a few years ago I only had to drive 60 miles into North Ga to see it. FREAKING AMAZING!
We had a full one here not too long ago! Impressive! Reminded me of how small I am compared to the creator! @@ar-15techtipsinunder5minut8

Disrespectful, but funny
Aw man I would have a hard time swapping anything for that HS Precision stock 😅

@@peteregger7928 Whoa. No idea that the old parts cost that much.

They've been on the market for a good long while now! Wonder why they haven't made some improvements?
I am looking at ordering one of these do I need to buy the mag separately
Yes! My understanding is fewer problems with the MDT metal mags. I haven't tried any polymers.
But dose the mag come with the chassis stock?
@@travisrios9490 No, has to be purchased separate.
Perfect that’s what I needed to know that you great video
