- The Panzer Arms M4 is a direct clone of the Benelli M4 Shotgun, issued to the U.S. Marine Corp, but comes in at a 1/4 of the price. Thanks to Gun Zone Deals for their help to make this review possible.

Picked up a Panzer M4 Speed about 6 weeks ago. Zero malfunctions with any and all ammo run through it. For the money, it's been a solid piece.
I own both. and wish now I had bought the Panzer first. We have run the heck out of the gun and it just runs and runs. One of the best buy's I have made on a shotgun and I own many.
As I mentioned earlier, all these guns, like a lot of 1911 clones, have a break-in period. They should be run during that period with FULL POWER ammo, not Wal Mart target loads. I never had any issues with my Panzer BP12 gen 2 with full power loads. Slugs or buck. I I continue to use full power ammo through it-No issues. These are tactical shotguns, not skeeters. Feed them the right stuff and they will work fine.
You're a liar
@@tibzig1 My m4 has around 500 rounds of various loads including wal-mart target loads and I have had 1 failure with it on one of those loads (she has about 200 rounds of those various target loads) the rest have been high brass loads including 3 inch magnum loads.
@@brandondavis4306 I own 2 x Benelli M1 Super 90s. These are the old recoil operated bolt system. They are always finicky with anything but buckshot, slugs or other heavy loads. My Panzer Arms BP12 Gen 2 can now feed some target loads (it has been broken in) as I have fired well over 1000 rounds of buckshot and slugs through it. But for defensive purposes, I would stick to the heavier full power loads.
@@tibzig1How many rounds do you have through your Super 90? Mine is the HK imported I bought mine from my uncle and I've put 7,000 rounds through it shooting sporting clays with 2 failures. And that was because I hadn't cleaned it in 500 rounds. All shooting has been with the Walmart 100 round value packs. So I'm wondering what's going on with yours? I'll ask my uncle if he changed springs or something.
It's good that these cheaper manufacturers make these copies. Even if you don't like the product itself, you can't deny that price competition drives down the price of original products as well. Many just want to talk bad about these products and don't want to understand the benefits of a free market.
Also, not everyone seems to understands that some yt channels make entertaining programs where certain products are given a clearly worse image than they actually are.
I got a Panzer Arms M4 and like it. Mine has had no issues and would buy it again.
What if the next one is a lemon tho?
@@wizardofahhhs759 "what if" suppositions are useless.
@@wizardofahhhs759- what if your Mother had wheels? She’d be a bicycle.
@@aeromedical6776 or a car, or a lawn mower or a tractor or anything else with wheels
@@wizardofahhhs759 Any gun has the possibility of being a “lemon” but there’s 100 times more positive reviews on the Panzer.
We’ve got over 1000 rounds through ours with no malfunctions aside from Winchester super speed steel shot target loads. But that’s bottom barrel ammo. We mostly shoot fairly hot handloads in it, and it’s incredibly reliable.
I have well over 1k rds of buckshot and slugs through my Panzer M4.
Other than a few feeding issues in the first 150rds, it has run absolutely flawlessly.
I trust it with my life.
Other than feeding issues it runs flawlessly 😂
@phillipmoore316 right... first 150 rds... considering I'm well in excess of 5
1500rds now, I'd say that's pretty effin good...
@@phillipmoore316I am in favor of not needing to break in guns in order for them to run reliably but, in his own words, he said the gun has had no issues after 150rds. so flawless after a while lol
One note in the manual of arms: The button next to the trigger is not a bolt release. It is the cartridge drop level. I own a Panzer M4 and it took a some time to get familiar with the Benelli style action.

Personally, I’m a fan of Panzer Arms products.
I’ve been extremely impressed with my Panzer Arms EG200. It’s been extremely reliable. It came with walnut furniture, 3 chokes, a +1 tube extension, & an extra birds head grip if you want to remove the stock, all for about $345 after tax, shipping, & transfer fee. It’s an amazing value. I’ve heard of reliability issues while using the heavy gas piston (even though Panzer recommends it for high velocity loads over 1400fps), & in fairness I have not tested the gun using the heavy piston. However, it’s run flawlessly with 1395fps buckshot & lighter target loads using the light piston.
I understand the steel hardening processes used in the manufacture of Turkish shotguns may not be of the same quality as some of their competition. However, when you consider that they come in at 1/3 of the price as the models they’re cloned after, I can’t find much to complain about. You just need to check for excessive wear & keep them cleaned & lubricated. Panzer uses service centers in the US if you have any problems, although you might have to do a little digging online to find one should you encounter a factory defect.
I always enjoy your videos & input, Sootch! 🇺🇸
Have loved my marine model. Great gun, no issues
There’s something about shotguns without a pump that makes me uncomfortable. However the M4 Benelli or clone is definitely the exception.
I'm the opposite I have had both an 870 and a 590. Sold them both. Idk something about pump actions shotguns just annoys me knowing I can have a better semi auto
Your reviews are awesome. I have the Panzer AR-12 and absolutely love it. The 12 gauge doesn't get talked about enough. Thank you.
I'm getting the walnut version. Nice looking gun.
you can also get a collapsible stock from panzer mine has one.
I got the speed tactical and put adjustable stock +7 and it’s been 100% reliable with 200-300 rounds no cleaning.
Very well shown. I appreciate the teardown and explanation of the Benelli system very much! thanks Sootch
I have a Panzer Bullpup. One thing I have learned about these guns is that they all have a "break in " period and that they work almost flawlessly with full-power/load ammunition.
Is standard bulk bird shot a full-power load?
@@Asertix357 No, it is not. Just to be safe, "full power" for a shotgun is generally buckshot and slug loads.
Yea, Mine had an issue where if I shot anything under 1,300 FPS, it wouldn't cycle. Had to run about 200 rounds through it before it broke in
And I see the Beretta hanging on the wall behind the Panzer Benelli clone.
Is that the a300 patrol?
@@bendabutcha it looks like it.
Thanks for the video
I have a Panzer m4. I’m up to approximately 400 rounds with no issues.
I was on the fence about ordering this, but after finding your channel I am sold.
What no Panzer Arms ""DISCOUNT CODE"" ?
PSA - has them listed out the door with shipping for $468.00 total....
Mine has roughly 1,800 rounds thru it not one issue,,,& thats feeding it Breneke 3" Bear Loads exclusively
I'll stick with my $217 Mossberg Maverick 88 .... been 100% since day 1 at the range ...
You do that. I’ll stick to my 590a1. I would replace all the cheap plastic parts in yours though
@@cloud-ny5ux , 8 years now and no issues ...
@@richki.24 just me, for ultimate reliability since the plastic trigger group is the achilles heal of that setup.
I got one a couple weeks ago, shot 200 rounds flawless, but when I disassembled it and took the trigger group out the stock loosened up and the plastic pin broke that holds it into the receiver. Now it won’t tighten up, if you have one do not take off the trigger group or stock! Mine was the new skeleton stock.
I have the Coppola T4 clone and it works like a champ
Great review! Very informative and I like how you took time to field strip it to show the internals.
Man, all these detractors and these continue to sell and satisfy shooters. Mine ran great. Blew out an extractor on 3 inch magnum. Manufacturer sent me an entire bolt group to replace no questions or anything but an email to attain. Shoots as good at my 1301. 🎤 dropped.
I managed to get one for about $369 new on sale a couple years ago, and it was a great buy. I will warn you that some shells won't cycle the action. Fiocchi Defense Dynamics 00 Buck would not cycle the action reliably. (it also says on the box in really small print that it may not cycle semi-autos.)
I've had automatic pistols that wouldn't cycle Fiocchi ammonas well. I think something might be wrong with Fiocchi ammo.
Solid review. I am looking at maybe adding the first non Mossberg to my collection. I like my 930. 100% reliable after close to 1000 rounds of skeet, trap, clays, and fun. But 28" barrel is a bit much for home defense.
I had mine and ran 200 rounds of high brass, buck, and slugs through it. Would not cycle bird at all reliably even after. Run buck and slug 100% through.
Just get the Mossberg 940 JM PRO when you find a deal. It's not much more expensive and is better quality.
I won’t even consider it until it survives a James Reeves burn down test. 😂😂😂
It got a pass with a caveat
500 rds in one sitting tells the tale...
Even without 3in magnums...!!!
Nice video Sootch00. I picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago and was very surprised at how well this shotgun worked as well as the fit and finish. The only thing I don't like is the cutout on the left side of the receiver for the bolt handle. Just another opening to let dirt into the action and of very little use to a right handed person.
Please think about the 10% of us that want that hole, it's not always about what YOU want. 😂
@@melissasmess2773 Sorry, I really don't give a crap about what you want!

I know clone firearms aren't exactly smiled upon by everyone, but it's pretty cool.
I wish someone would make a SPAS-12 clone.
If you want one for the pump action/semiauto ability look into a benelli m3. Or a tristar tac 12 which is a clone of it.
I like a pump. I'll stick with my 870 I've had for 20 plus years no problems.
What’s your point
Thanks for the info. Been on the fence about a auto shotgun. Think I made up my mind. Thanks.
Get off the fence and get you a Benelli m4 or a Beretta 1301.
You won't regret it.
@@darrelldunlap7249- not everyone can drop $2K on a shotgun.
Mac 1014 m4 breacher
Don’t get a benelli , 4x the cost but it’s not 4x better
The only difference between the two is the high intensity durability ie. running hundreds of rounds with a few hours with no break. So unless you plan on doing crazy burn downs and torture testing , panzer 100%
Maybe you could tell us the validity behind your equation? Exactly what I'm looking for is that reliability and durability should I need it to fight. I'll pay the premium for that.
Sounds as if the Benelli is not for you? Enjoy your choice! I sure enjoy mine.
Seems smooth
Can’t wait 22 years for the 1301 clone
hahaha me either
a couple of years ago you could have got the a300 ultima for like $800 but those have gone way up in price too.
I got the Tac-12 a while back and had to replace the breech bolt latch/carrier latch because it wouldn't cycle. Sulun Arms has a video where they filed it down and it cycled great, but I just replaced it with a genuine Benelli part and it doesn't have any issues with dummy rounds, but I need to take back out to the range for testing to be sure it's reliable enough. I feel confident about it though. Also got an AKSA S4 which I also need to take to the range. I can't help but feel like I should've gotten the Panzer M4 instead but hey, coulda shoulda. They were out of stock everywhere each time I went to buy one. I suppose I can still get a Panzer and have 3 Turknellis for the price of one Benelli. The 2 I own have very different accessories. If I get the Panzer I'd probably set it up totally different as well. Since I couldn't decide on how I want it set up, just have 3 all set up differently 😅
1301 for me - Them 🇮🇹 know how to make a fast Scatter Gun.
870 beats them all in resilience
I got 700 in mine with ported barrel and threaded barrel for chokes, +7 magazine and adjustable stock in marine color, this would be 4000 dollars to have a benelli with all the same options.
Ammo capacity options? Side saddle? Ammo sleeve for the stock? Ammo capacity on a semi auto is more critical than a pump. Also the open action tells me this doesn't belong in the field. The price is great though.
I don't care for that open action at all!
they make velcro side saddles , dont clutter up the stock
I have one , very happy !
Great video nice panzer arms shotgun thanks for sharing sootch00
nice demo and apprec the takedown segment
I'll take one in FDE 🤠
Rattle can it. It’s a shotgun.
Mine has shot 300 rounds no problems no cleaning, it is a benelli m4 minus the insane price, same material same machines making them same design, 1/4 price.
If you have a fast enough finger the benelli is basically full auto…I don’t see him pushing that clone at all he was giving it plenty of time between shots…the benellis will also fire thousands of rounds without an issue
Go with the berretta A300 patrol. Under 1k and cycles everything i put through it.
That shotgun is affordable, and gets great reviews.
So does this
Well done review. IMHO a fake Rolex keeps great time but it's not a Rolex.
If you want jewelry, buy a Rolex...several watch companies make much better time pieces.
@@rbee914my Omega is better and only $4,000. 😂
Got to get one of these.......
The Benelli M4 is also used by the British army as the L128A1
Who cares about the Brittish Army!! They are NO longer what they used to be!
I think if John Wick was on a budget he would have asked for a Panzer in the Armory with steel slugs!
Looking at the tail of the bolt, on the flat side, it looks as though the hole for the bolt retaining pin is a bit galled or ovaled after the shooting test. Am I incorrect in my observation?
Man, I got happy there for a hot second when I thought you were going to be able to pull the trigger group out without removing the stock. Needless to say, I was disappointed! 😞
Great review. I'm torn between the Panzer M4 and the MAC 1014. Does anyone have any thoughts about the Panzer M4 vs. The Mlitary Armorment Corp 1014?
Neither!
Save your money and get a Benelli!
Then, of course, there are always the two Berettas, the A300 and 1301?
Great luck with whichever you choose!!!
@@darrelldunlap7249 i agree with you, i hate copies, i will always prefer the original.
I was given to understand that they are same weapon, just different companies. I could be wrong, though.
They can't even discuss the piece on its own merits without referencing the real Benelli m4.
For me, it is not even a clone. It is just something that looks like something else. I wish I would put OEM Benelli Parts on that thing. Even worse, put some Panzer parts on a real Benelli! Yuck!
If you don't want to suffer the expense of the real deal or can't, 590a1 will see you through the day just fine!
Frank if I understand you point, the Benelli m4 is the real deal. Everything else just looks like it. Might be ok for a range toy but I wouldn't bet my life on any of the look a likes. Sootch said as much!
Have you tried their 5.7mm upper? Its adorable.
OK for a budget choice but I would rather weigh out the $2K & get the real deal & have the confidence, knowing that , if my life depends on it, I bought well!!
You can't afford 2 grand.
Exactly!
I would wait and save or just buy the Benelli for the reasons Carl mentioned.
I owe both, and after 16 months of owning both, and 1360 rounds on each, I see NO difference at all in quality, reliability, and wear!! This is clear evidence! I pick both shotguns apart often to inspeact the internal..., and no difference! The Benelli is simply overpriced hands down!
i have both ..... actually got the panzer bc i was curious and was pleasantly surprised and can say panzer m4 is great...... i was told to break it in with 100 or so rounds of anything above 1300fps and ZERO malfunctions.....
Sounds as if you hit the jackpot!
Good for you!
Thank you🎉🎉🎉
ordering one of these and the panzer 240....
I'm torn between the Panzer and the Mac 1014. Mac being cheaper means more extra addons money but I'm not sure if they as good as these in the QC department.
Ive had my panzer m4 for a year now and had no issues whatsoever. Clean it and lube it and it runs flawlessly. But i did contact the company and it did take a week to hear back but they addressed my issue right away. Are they a trash company? Not from my experience.
Anyone ever tell you, you look like the guy from jaws?
When will you review the Tisas 1911?!?
Would love to see tests on Palmetto state armory GF5 AKM
There’s something about shotguns without a pump that makes me… Comfortable.
I had issues with the first one I bought from a couple of years ago. Right out of the box it would not cycle shells. I got with Panzer and they had me ship it back to them. They had it for a really long time (about 6 months). To be fair, this was in the middle of the "plandemic" and many things were happening with supply chains and so on. They got back with me and said that the problems couldn't be repaired and they would ship me a new replacement, and they would also give me a multi position adjustable stock for the inconveniences. I proceeded to do a relentless full burn down of various types of ammo and had a good time doing it! It cycled all types of shells very well. However, the multi-position stock was horrible. It would come out of position while firing and was really useless. I also discovered that they used super glue instead of quality thread locker on the picatinny rail screws and rear site screws. Both came loose from the heat generated during the constant firing of test rounds.
I decided to purchase the two round magazine extension tube and it too was a horrible experience. It was manufactured by Panzer and sold from different online distributers. It didn't allow the barrel to seat fully when assembled. I installed it properly and I thought I possibly got an out of tolerance part. I sent it back for a replacement only to find out the one they sent me in exchange wouldn't work either.
The gun cycles well and is fun to shoot, but I think that they have guns and accessories out there that are quality escapements. There is definitely some compromise for the price.
Another good review, sure appreciate it. Thanks
why I wait for great knockoffs from Turkey, they are just as good but a lot cheaper!
Spending more doesn't always get you better quality. Beretta has had many problems with thier auto shotguns throughout the years too. Shotguns are one item from Turkey that you can find quality for less.
Save a little blonger and buy the beretta a300 le
Trigger group comes right off..... there is ABSOLUTELY no need to remove the stock..... just pull on it and it slides right off.
You're telling me SOOTCH didn't get the walnut version? Is he ok? Has he been in any accidents with possible head trauma? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL SOOTCH!?

Really nice video!
Can you do a comparison video between the sig p320 xten comp and the Springfield xdm 10mm comp?
Great review and you have all the needed information. Keep up the good work.
It can has 6 magzine like the revolver structure! Who make one ?
The shotgun is a cost effective defense from drones until more effective means become available. My dads auto 5 is old tech and I'm looking for a grab and go unit that has the reliability, capacity and speed I think I may need for defense against weaponized drones. Beretta seems to be offering the best bang for the buck right now.
Great review thanks so much for doing it, I have been hoping you would do a review on this gun as I have been on the fence. But now I can climb over and get one.

Is it the case of the Marines being poorly trained to use the Benelli or vice versa?
Will it run 2¾ and what's the capacity? With that long tube it should be more than 5.
You didn't go rapid shoot like you did in other gun videos !
The problem with the Benellis for me has always been, its $2000, and it doesnt even have the collapsible stock or extended tube. So you're looking at another $500 to get those. Sell a clone correct version or get copied dude.
