My favorite Art Garfunkle song. He has the voice of an angel.
It’s a Stevie Wonder song but point taken.
Tem mesmo viu
@@brykidla It's both. I believe the commenter was saying it's their favorite song that is sung by Art Garfunkel. Sure it's a cover. So? I think you were just being pedantic.
Those lips. Those eyes. That voice. Love Artie.
Yes, dont you just hate his wife!!!!😂
How Beautiful Art Garfunkel's voice even in live
My love for artie will be forever 🥰💜💜
Effortlessly beautiful
He just gives the proof that he was not just a "chorist" in the duo Simon&Garfunkel. He was The SOUL
No . Just no. Yes he was a way better singer then Paul Simon, but the soul? please.
you are corect
beautiful ! sung by one of the most beautiful voices written by one of the best song writers a match made in heaven
One of the great voices of our time.
From the time when it was enough for the artist to stand and sing.
I love this beautiful man. His voice his eyes and the rest of this great singer.
This is gorgeous! It is so difficult to do a Stevie Wonder song justice, but he completely makes it his own.
in this particular case, it's better than the original in my opinion. That's incredibly rare if not unheard of for a Stevie Wonder song.
Amazing voice! My favourite male singer of all time. Seriously... And he's looking totally gorgeous here. X
Grafrey /what a beautiful voice so angel voice the most amazing voice God bless you Art
So young when he sang this. He looks so innocent. 💕💕
@@normaverleni7217 it's hard to even imagine then that he will reach 80 years old, come November.
Yes mine too, him and John martyn
Strate man but my god heis voice and yeah he a beautiful man
This man knows how to sing like nobody else
A LOVELY SONG....BEEN COVERED SO MANY TIMES...BUT THIS IS THE BEST VERSION!!!!!!
Todo en él es hermoso, no solo canta como un ángel, sino también lo parece, transmite tanta paz. Lindo hombre.
I LOVE ART GARFUNKEL!
Beautiful.
Beautiful song and vocals!
Back then singers are really singers and sing live.👍❤️
what a voice...damn.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
This is fantastic, what a voice
I was a bellhop at a hotel in Kansas City, Missouri in the late 70s. Late one night I got to check Art Garfunkel and his girlfriend in. Too bad I was so shy in those days. I didn't tell him how much his music meant to me :(
Do you know who his girlfriend was back then?
@@myrtlelucy I'm guessing it was Laurie Bird. They were in a five year relationship at the time until she committed suicide in 1979 while he was away making a movie.
He was probably grateful you didn’t say anything. He’s probably tired of comments, and just wanted privacy.
This is one of the most covered Stevie WOnder songs from his album entitled "Talking Book". I love the fact that different people have fond memories from various artists doing such a great job on this tune.
I can't paint or illustrate the scene when I first heard this song, but I will try, I was sixteen, innocent, in love with life, in love with nature and the outside, in love for the first time with someone from school, I had been taken out with family friends, on a lovely summer afternoon, to a river bank on a picnic, it was an idyllic setting, boats, willow trees, honeysuckle, the river, gently flowing, and this song sung by Art Garfunkel........................
was it in the north, up north? sounds pretty!
What a wonderful beautiful memory you have of that day.
Now that was great. One of the best of the times...
Wow -- what a lovely Stevie Wonder cover. I really enjoyed that -- and live no less!
Simply superb
To my true love Frank. This song says it all. I believed it would be forever and though you were taken much too soon my love for you is forever. 💔 😥
Agreed he looked handsome here
yes, that what i thought also, he looks very handsome, and his angelic voice I cannot believe he will turn 80 yrs. old this year 2021. But he is still looks gorgeous in his age. God bless you Mr. Art Garfunkel.
ty art
Hermoso.
your sweet voice made my dog stop barking. you are a genius in this craft
This is the song on the closing credits for the movie High Fidelity. Who knew Garfunkel sung Stevie Wonder.
I love this song and the album it came from, "Breakaway". I was in college and had broken up with the love of my life, I listened to this album...... a lot.
A superb love song.
Our first wedding dance 10/2/1982! Absolutely beautiful. Still going strong!
Master of the voice
that's great
He's so amazing and great singer I like the voice so lovable I admire him so much.
very enjoyable - thanks for this.
Timeless love
I Believe
Art Garfunkel
Shattered dreams, worthless years
Here am I encased inside a hollow shell.
Life began, then was done
Now I stare into a cold and empty well.
The many sounds that meet our ears,
The sights our eyes behold,
Will open up our merging hearts
And feed our empty souls.
I believe when I fall in love with you it will be forever.
I believe when I fall in love this time it will be forever.
Without despair we will share
And the joys of caring will not be replaced.
What has been must never end
And with the strength we have won't be erased.
When the truths of love are planted firm they're only hard to find,
And the words of love I speak to you will echo in my mind.
I believe when I fall in love with you it will be forever.
I believe when I fall in love this time it will be forever.
I believe when I fall in love with you it will be forever.
Thank you for typing that all out. Very kind. 💐
Thanks for posting. A great song from a great album.
I love Art's version of this song. I'd forgotten what a good singer he is
And the music to the song is haunting such a sad song beautiful ❤
I think i just fell in love with him 😍🥰🥰💜
Me too💕
I think we all have, lucky kathryn!!!!
linda voz faz agente sonhar
The first time I heard this song was hearing Talking Book for the first time. After being more used to Stevie's Motown output this song was a revelation...it remains my favourite version :O
Golden voice incredible 😌👏👏👏👏
maravilhoso.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💓💓💓💓💓🇧🇷
Angelic voice in any. Song. He sang absolutely very smooth gentle voice 💓
I love you Art
I love his voice !!!
It will be forever 🦊🐇
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Woww nice voice😮
Stevie wonder track
Was my high school boyfriend and mine's "song" - Was........ still love the song, but not him anymore (it's been decades)
I’ve been listening to the studio version on repeat for a couple of days. Without the key modulation during the second half Garfunkel’s cover falls flat.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The audience is like...let's dance! Um no. You don't need to dance to this ballad.
Who cared he lost his hair, he was gorgeous???
Anyone thinks he has a look of paul nicholas? Also gorgeous
I want to dance with you- :)
Eat your heart out Joshua ! I never knew !
Think its mine as well
High fidelity got me here
I always thought he had the better voice in the duo
Flight of the Conchords…
Wonderful voice, sad that all those shows were lip-synced back then. Thanks to Mick Jagger & Jim Morrison. You can tell that social dancing had been dropped from the H.S. curriculum by the 70's. So many kids swinging and swaying around in their own worlds. They were reminiscent of a school of Moray Eels.
Not lip synced at all, this is a completely live vocal.
He really didntd need paul simon
Art makes this a dulcet toned affair that's good however Peter Frampton's cover blows this out of the water.
I believe your ears are painted on.
you could tell he's very anxious. (I think it's adorable, and understandable!) He had admitted he does not like singing in front of people... He has always had stage fright. Listen to the studio version. He really belts it out.
Frampton's Camel solo elpee in 1972-3......Frampton's versions SOARS!
I believe that his ears are truly painted on
ARTIE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST.
morron5
This is nice but listen to George Michael’s version. It’s unbelievable.
Appearing on Top Of The Pops did'nt do Art any good on this occasion - this failed to make the UK top 40...
