Officially in the manual there is only flat and the 12 degree option. That 20 degree option is just a hack and looks like it would put unusual tension angles on that cable. Manual section: Adjusting the Opening Height of the Tailgate
Damn it must be depressing walking out every day, seeing that thing and having to fight to convince yourself it wasn't wasted money. The absolute cope in the replies to this comment are hilarious. I'm sorry y'all got scammed paying six figures for a badly built ute.
We love our Cybertruck and have never regretted getting it for a second. And if people feel that way about me because of what I drive I think it says more about them than me.
@@CybertruckFamilySee? Have to tell yourself every day just to be sure you don't regret it. We judge you when we see it because it means you paid six figures to a company run a neo nazi to buy a poorly designed and built vehicle, and then instead of admitting your mistake you doubled down.

I totally agree!
The "20°option" and heavy loads results in a tailgate that no longer closes due to bent pins and kinked / weekend supporting cables.
Yep, 100% agree with this comment. Definitely an off label use and I’d avoid any load on the gate with this option.
Great tips. Thanks for posting. :)
Thank you for the tip.

Thanks for the tip. Have you heard about the axle bolts coming loose, can ruin the splines, disabling without warning. Some kind of lock is needed.
I haven't heard anything about that.
@@CybertruckFamily luckily not common.

They did another off road trip without any trouble so the spline isn't completely trashed.

Thanks but I think I would just strap the item.
Here’s a trick. Just use tow straps!! Forget this crap!

Every pickup truck. That’s what you would do.

@@CybertruckFamily you paid six figures to a neo nazi for a ute that can barely handle a diet road, that's why we judge you
