You need to reset the AP computer to redetect cameras. AP is not reset with scroll wheel reset. To reset AP, goto Service Mode, then Driver Assist tab, then press Reset DAS. Cameras should be redetected after AP reboots. You can also see camera status on that Driver Assist tab.
My tailgate won’t close flushed to the body! Do we have some sort of adjustment there? Was wondering if the top hinges where it closes can be adjusted so the gate can close further a bit so its more flushed with the break light bar… any comments/ suggestions would be really appreciated!!! Thanks
It's fairly common on trucks to remove it if you are loading very heavy things so you don't risk damaging it with too much weight (like loading drywall with a fork lift 😅)
Tell me you never have interest in a truck till tesla put this trukish looking thing out there. Other trucks don't need any tool to remove a tail gate.
@@8bajwa8 why does the number of tools used to remove it matter? Since you're truck shaming people you must be a truck guy who carries tools everywhere he goes right?
@@Gurule what kind of innovation it is. It should make things simple not tedious. We as consumers should call out all the companies for false advertisements. Tesla is just worst than other. Price, range, 1/4 mile time, charging speed, tailgate with built in ramp, payload, tow capacity all under deliverd as promised. I can keep going.
One- I have no issue with a few tools being required to remove a tail gate. Two- tailgate theft is common. It hardly requires planing I see it as a positive
For me it wasnt a huge deal, but ive been wrenching (professionally) for a decade - I do know that this was finicky enough that I wouldnt recommend removing it unless you know what you're doing!
You're 100% right. Seen tail gate gets stolen from the launch ramp parking area. Always annoyed whenever I hear of boaters/fisherman coming back after a fishing trip to discover their tailgate is missing. Ruins the day for everyone except the thief. I always wondered if mfg can make tailgate more difficult to steal. Glad the CT bed is lockable and the tailgate secured like shown in this video.
That was extremely well videoed and commented on. Well done.
Thank you very much! I enjoyed making it a lot and want to do more like it now 💓

Good tip!
Great tutorial...keep up the content! We will consume ALL you create . . .
What else do you want to see?
I NEED to see how many dogs you can fit in truck! 🐕🦮🐩🐕🦺
Great video. Very informative 👍🏻
Can you do a video showing what’s under the rear bumper and if anything is under that “diaper”/low hanging area of the bumper?
Yea, should be able to remove the rear bumper and see whats under there!
my money says spot for wireless charger

Other than replacing it, why would you want/need to remove the tailgate?

@@8bajwa8 none of that is related to the tailgate lol
Removing tailgate to put a camper or certain truck caps requires the removal of the tailgate.
Can the truck be driven with the tailgate off?
Yes though autopilot will not work

What the heck. It takes 0 tools to get the tailgate off my trucks. Looks like Elon definitely improved tailgates
