It worked for me also flipping the pistons on 289s and 302s and FEs soften the chambers and they rev quicker and higher. A 410 turned into a beast with ARP bolts and flipped flat tops I pulled out of a .015 over 360FE , forged and flipped in the Merc 410, flywheel from a 4 speed 428 CJ with a top loader and I told folks it was a 390 and at 413 ci it could almost pull the Mustangs front wheels.
I can’t wait another year i can retire and go digging in junk yards and building motors. Im leaving NYC and moving to a rural area where things make sense.
Thanks for the detail in your build. Helps understand the thinking along with benefit of more horse power and the limitations👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing your knowledge about these cars 🤙
I'm glad you mentioned in your previous build about some blocks needing the head bolt holes heli-coiled. My current build is there.
6th time now I've watched this build. 100% what I wanna do. Awesome content man!!!
Great Video! love building small Fords. you hit on a couple of key points to look for in building a Small block Ford.
Another great video. I've been a fan for quite some time, and as a fellow Ohio resident (just south of Columbus), I'm proud to admit that you've encouraged me to purchase a 1990 GT project car. Look forward to watching old videos over and over to help with the build. I wouldn't be able to do this build if it wasn't for guys like yourself posting the content that you do, so thank you. Also, I found your page originally via reference by brew2l, so a thanks also goes out to that channel as well. You guys are both down to earth, tell it how it is, and give so much great content to the DIY guys to keep the fox world active and growing.
Rock Star video brother! Really enjoyed watching the motor build and you did a great job with the time lapse🤙🏼🏁
Sweet build. Working on a 1995 cobra right now. Already up to 2500 worth of work and parts. Still got a lot more to do. Just taking my time not really in a rush.
Awesome Video as Always Bro! Love the Stock Bottom End stuff.
U rule, awesome job a project i been wantin to do for like 7 8 yrs now, i first got wind of the gt 40 heads in a road n track magazine build,
I've been following you for yrs finally subbed. Great work!
Built a very similiar engine way back in 2000 for the now defunct FFW Factory Stock class. 87 coupe, speed density car and ran the same Cobra cam with GT40's and Cobra intake. Car ran 12.80's@105mph, FUN car on the street.
I have been waiting for this information and upload! Thank you!👈💯
Great to know, I literally am pretty much building same for 1 of my foxes, thank you sir
I would really like to see more detailed info on installing the timing chain and camshaft because I'm not sure how to put it at TDC. Do you have a video on this?
I love your vids man. Not too vague, straight to the point, not too much talkin…just right. Good stuff. What machine shops do you use? What area? I am in south Jersey, no good places here bro. A couple that don’t even answer the phone. That’s about it. Lol
Great info. Thanks from an old guy that don’t know much and don’t have much money either.
