- ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 packet yeast or 1 tbsp
1 cup whole milk
1 large egg
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
the zest of 1 lemon
1/2 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup raisins
extra flour for dusting
for the cross
2-3 tbsp flour
water | add alittle at a time till it thickens
glaze
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp water

Hi, so after looking at ur sweet bread loaf recipe for several days now, I tried it today. It's delicious I have to say. Couple things I need to let you know. I followed ur recipe and video exactly. However while my bread came out much bigger than urs, it took 5 1/2 cups of flour with extra for kneading. With 31/2cups as stated in ur recipe it was extremely sticky. I'm not sure if d flour was too little or d liquid was too much. I used all d ingredients exactly as u indicated except d flour. My bread was soft yet firm. It was perfect. Maybe u need to revisit d ingredients and see if it's correct. Cud be a typo error just saying. Thank you for that recipe.

Thank u for ur prompt response . But as I said with d very same amount of liquid and 51/2 cups flour d bread came out quit large and perfect. I forgot to mention that it baked in 35 minutes and was a little darker than golden brown but lovely still. At 45 mins it would have burned badly.
@yasminwinford659 5 1/2 cups of flour seem impossible for that amount of liquid 😳 it's definitely the flour, different types absorbs different. But I'm glad it still turned out good.
